I was really surprised with how much I loved this book.
I picked it up because it was cheap and I liked the sound of it. I didn't realise there were books before it from their younger days. But considering I hadn't read them I didn't get lost in the story as the book fills you in enough on past events.
James and Lola's relationship is so sweet. He wants to protect her and they both slowly develop stronger feelings for each other as this book goes on.
I enjoyed this hot read, but not saying its for everybody :)

Yake, I feel weird. The love story itself is sweet and I liked it very much. Some scenes disturbed me and made my skin crawl... but they weren't between MC. You see the hero is a pornstar and the heroine is a virgin. Yake👌I am starting to realize that I don't have any limits like at all when it comes to reading😂

I've never needed love before in my life, just a good time, but I need her to love me because I'm so fuckin' crazy in love with her.
This was such a impromptu read. I was surfing Smashwords, looking for some good freebies to feed my Kindle when I come across this series. Before reading this, you must read the three previous short stories first. I downloaded all three, plus this one, for free and I'm so happy I did. The short stories, though enjoyable and very fast reads, was nothing compared to this. I felt like I got to know the characters first and was able to connect with them better. By the time I got to this full novel, I was primed and ready for these two to finally hook up.
My whole persona is being stripped away and I feel totally raw and exposed standing here in front of her and praying that she really does love me.
James is a famous porn actor and his best friend, Lola, is as innocent as they come. They've been best friends since they were little, but never pursued anything more at risk of ruining their friendship. Nothing was ever going to come in between them, not even after some of their lustful moments. James was always a ladies' man, while at the same time, always threatened any guy who came after Lola. He’s very protective of her and feels like no man will ever deserve her, least of all himself. His career never bothered him or Lola; after all they’re just friends and have been supportive of one another from day one. Their friendship means everything to them, but they've been denying their true feelings for a long time. How much longer can they resist?

I really enjoyed this story. It was so sweet. I loved reading about their long term friendship blooming into more. They tip-toed around and experimented enough with each other to know they had chemistry and when they finally got together…the world seemed so much better :) I still can’t believe this was free read. I love that feeling of picking up a new and unknown book and find something totally awesome. I really hope the author decides to write more about these two.

James and Lola.......they are so sweet! But really not that innocent, well James anyway because he's still living life as a porn star! Now our sweet Lola is still the innocent virgin best friend but for how long?
They've been best friends since they were children and occasionally messed around...very innocently;) It started out with a kiss here a fondle there and maybe a little more once they got older but never sex. Things can change though...right!?

Friends to lovers.....I'm a sucker for these types of books.
There are 3 short books leading to this full length book and in them we get to watch these two grow up...which I loved. They are now both living permanently in California and beginning to realize how special they are to one another.
However........there always has to be a however......James has got a monkey on his back and when it comes through poor little Lola suffers for it. It was a great plot and both James and Lola had a hand in it, Lola trying to correct it properly and James, well not so much;)
But when he thought he was going to lose Lola, well it was so sweet!!!!!!

I absolutely loved this series. Who wouldn't want a hot boy next door that was your best friend and looked like Jason Mamoa. Really? Google him please. I was hooked from the first short story. Lola and James' relationship was beautiful
And they had no choice but to continue to fall in love with each other until they said it out loud. This series is worth the read and it was nice to see the "kids" into adulthood without having to drudge through every waking moment of the 10 year span of the series. Great job Ms. Bianca. I hope we are given more of their love story. Oh and don't forget to go google...

WOW This was pretty freakin awesome! I'm not sure what I expected after reading the three short prequels to this full length book, but I was pretty blown away! It was so sweet and touching how James and Lola came to realize their feelings for each other were more than platonic. A very erotic and steamy story here! Plus we get a side plot with a crazy ass dominatrix and big fu*k up by James that make him do some major internal reflecting! Throughout I kept thinking that I wanted the ending of this one to be pretty final so I wouldn't have to come back if more books were put out, but after finishing it I am so looking forward to more from these two!! :D:D

THE HERO
Oh James, how I wish to be your Lola. How do I describe James without swooning? Again, I can't. He can be detached to the girls he sleeps with but never with Lola. He is always honest with her, he loves her to death, considers her first in everything and is not afraid to show his adoration to his girl. I love that James, though emotionally detached when it comes to his "sexual relationships" he values the girl/s he sleeps with. I guess growing up with Lola and becoming her friend has taught him to be a player without really abusing the game. He is the epitome of no-strings yet never with any complications.
THE HEROINE
Lola, oh Lola. You lucky, lucky girl! At first, I thought Lola was lucky with James, however as the series progresses, I am finding that together they are both lucky to find one another. I love this heroine. The right amount of sass, innocence, intelligence and beauty. Her innocence was not overly done, one of the reasons why I fell in love with this character. Her partly naivety on things was made perfectly with the experience that James has, thus making their pair work together.
THE VILLAIN
Ugh! I want to whip this b*tch to shreds. Tie her up and leave her there. Sorry, I just hate the character. I must praise the author though, coz the dominant nature of the villain is very believable.
THE PLOT
It's your normal friends to lovers story, however the dynamics between the H and H/e gave this series the serious advantage to other friends to lovers story. At first, I was thinking why put out 4 books when you can fit them on 2 books (the other books are that short)? Ms. Giovanni, now I know you are sneaky! The progress of the book builds you up just like the relationship between characters. The pauses between books builds up the curiosity and the wonder within the reader to further explore and before you know it, you are closing the last book with a sigh and a big smile plastered on your face.
THE VERDICT
I love the series, and yes, I do hope there's more. When an author makes you fall in love with both the H and H/e then that author is worth your time and praises. Yes, Miss Giovanni, you now have my undying support and you have just earned a new fan.
I still can't believe that this series is for free at Smashwords. It is a VERY wonderful read. Reading this book is time spent well.

I don't know whether I want to punch you in the junk or kiss your face off.

Seriously, this is how I felt the entire book. James' dual-natured persona is still very much present in Captured. Captured begins with life after college for Lola. She has moved to California with James and she is working at a job she particularly hates and for a boss who she'd like to introduce to a shredder...face first. But, James is her constant and the bright light in her otherwise dreary day. James is sweet, loving, and ever loyal to Lola. He is a shoulder to cry on, lends an ear when she needs to vent, and cooks her the most awesomest (yes...awesomest *smile) meals. Oh...and he occasionally gives her screaming orgasms. But, I digress. James is also still very much the manwhore he was in Revealed, only a much bigger one because he is in high demand in the porn world. That demand causes some serious contention between he and Lola in the story at point.
The story remains as it did in Revealed. James protects Lola from men to the nth degree and, although she revels in his protectiveness, she wants to become a woman. Especially when she becomes attracted to an man, her senior, who works in the same firm she does. James is resistant to Lola dating anyone because she is his "cupcake," his "angel". He values her and treasures her above anything else because she is the closest thing to family that he has.
As James' notoriety in the porn world grows, he is sought out by a pretty sadistic Domme. What happens after their first encounter will break your heart. There are so many dimensions to that storyline that I wanted to cry and beat a ho down all at the same moment.
Captured was intense. I ain't gonna lie. There were moments where I was biting my nails and and sobbing, too. But, the story isn't sad. It's actually very sweet with pockets of darkness. I really enjoyed how Giovanni allowed the characters to grow up and grow together in this story. Although James' actions can be called into question (see earlier comment about junk punching), he does the right thing in the end although it almost costs him dearly. It was also nice to see Lola assert her femininity in this story, too. She has a pretty hairy encounter that had me on pins and needles. I mean seriously. I actually had to put my Kindle down because I just didn't want to read what happened next. But *sniffle*...I'm so glad I did.
This story and this series promises a roller-coaster ride of emotions. I was very happy with the end of the story but with three books remaining in the series I'm almost (a lot) afraid of what will happen next for the couple. The. best. kind. of. story!

What a hot, crazy and wild ride! James is HOT, as usual and Lola is innocent, pure and oh so sweet. I loved that I hated the villain in this story and there were so many surprises and sexy moments. This series came out of nowhere for me and totally CAPTURED my attention! Can't wait to see where James and Lola go from here. Definitely one click!!

5 "Easily Satisfied" Stars!

I will admit the premise kind of had me worried. Does it make sense for a successful porn star and his sweet and innocent childhood BFF to fall in love.
So I half expected the major point of James being a successful pornstar to be minimized like "Whatever, he's a pornstar, oh well" and that true love would prevail...blah blah. I was bracing for Sleazeball City and what I got wasn't even close to that! I was really impressed with James and the depth of his character. The way he felt about what he did made me feel better about it too. Plus, it didn't hurt that he was delicious and not in a cheesy porn guy way.
He became just a guy who fell into a world that allowed him to make a decent living, he was damn good at what he did so he stuck with it. It's his life, right? So you see what just happen there, I ended up making it less of a big deal by the end.
Lola was an amazing friend who supported his life choices and she accepted all of him. I liked how he could still be himself with her and not the persona everyone expects. But we know they secretly wanted more than friendship from each other and had accepted that "more" wasn't a good idea until...James let his big mouth mess everything up... or did it??
I really liked this story! I must confess that I didn't read book 1 (see my original post below) I started Captured (book 2) thinking it was the first book. It was so well written that I never felt like I was missing anything. I know I would have equally enjoyed following their journey from the beginning but going backwards seems too painful and unnecessary now that I know how James and Lola end up.

I really liked this story! I must confess that I didn't read book 1 (see my original post below) I started Captured (book 2) thinking it was the first book. It was so well written that I never felt like I was missing anything. I know I would have equally enjoyed following their journey from the beginning but going backwards seems too painful and unnecessary now that I know how James and Lola end up.

The entire book 1 was all about who they were and how deep the caring was. So damn well written. Thing is, it was clear the two should have been together! Absolutely perfect except I still for the life of me can not comprehend how anyone could look over what he does. I hate how she really starts to notice just how much she loves him yet doesn't shut him the fuck up with all his details!

I swear this is a real case of using the wrong head! (no cheating) He still used the wrong head.

You know what? I loved him more than hated him at this moment. He in the end did the right thing to correct the mistake. This has been my main problem with James. The hate part. He is so damn loveable but literally just doesn't notice what he's saying or doing. It's like he doesn't have common sense! He breaks my heart over and over more than he does Lola up to this point. I know he meant well with this and forgiveness was due.
I want to mention two other characters. Chad Rockwell & Alejandro Carrera. The two men who took James under their wing when he moved to Cali and entered the porn industry. I loved them! They happen to be lovers but both of them are gay porn naturally and were having sex with others of course but if it were me instead of Lola, hell no could they put things in perspective for me.

I read REVEALED and I wan't sure what to expect out of the sequel--I knew Lola and James had a real connection. Best friends into lovers are some of my fave romances, but it seemed like these two had far too much baggage to make that transition.
I mean, really, a virgin and a porn star? Even James knows it's nuts. This story picks up after Lola's graduated college and moved to LA to be near her BFF, and take a job at a law firm. Of course, Lola and James are as close as ever. And, that bears unintended consequences for Lola. See, when people find out she's super close with a pornstar, they connect the two as lovers. As if! Trust me it gets kinda ugly--for both of them. Plus, they each have more-than-friendly feelings for the other, but are too timid to act and ruin the friendship.
James has been contracted to do ten scenes for notorious director and dominatrix Eva Satana--and it's not good. Eva has James practically brutalizing his co-star the waif-like Stacey. He's so overcome after his first scene, he hides away for days which worries Lola.
Lola tries to help James get out of his contract, and in the process ends up meeting Stacey. A bit awkward meeting the gal your friend/would-be-lover just banged on camera, especially seeing the bruises left behind. Appalled, Lola realizes she has to help Stacey in order to help James.
Of course, James has an alternate plan. Eva will voluntarily release James from his contract...for a tape of he and Lola having sex. Eva's clientele love virgin tapes, apparently. If he doesn't, well, it seems Eva's willing to unleash some unsavory associates who might just deflower Lola by force.
I'll just say the tension here was incredible. James is not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but his mistakes don't ravage his friendship with Lola TOO much. Good thing Lola knows how to use those brains of hers. I liked the first book a lot, but this one REALLY blew me away. The level of intimacy and care these two have for each other is so clear. From the start I was screaming at Lola to stay away, but by the end I just couldn't help it; I fell for James, too. He's a good guy, really, and his love for Lola is something special. Can't wait to read more of their love story.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. To borrow another reviewer's words, this is a sweet and sexy erotica and seldom do I read about those. Despite all the erotica I've read, I found this a breath of fresh air.
Lola and James's story tugged at my heartstrings. I love a girl-and-boy-as-best-friends type of story and I liked how it turned out. Both of them have their own insecurities, they've been through a lot and even long distance, their relationship survives. I love the concept of a platonic relationship even though James is a porn star.
The author switches between Lola's and James's points of view and I appreciated that. The sex scenes could go from mild to hardcore, and the conflict presented worked for me. I liked the turn of events, each character is crazy about the other, and they're not exactly fighting the sexual attraction 100%, but their friendship means more than raging hormones.
This novel made me lose a little sleep. It's fast-paced, sexy and smart at the same time, characters are enjoyable and of course the sex scenes were fantastic. Every scene has a different tone and everything meshed well.
I'm looking forward to reading the next book and I just can't get enough of Lola and James! Kudos to Ms Giovanni!

For the love of all that is holy--I don't feel bad at all for loving the crap out of this series!
Do I want to kill James 95% of the time? Of course I do!
I think a good firm smack on the back of the head about 1,000 times wouldn't have stopped him from half the stuff he was doing. I just couldn't help but fall in love with just how in love these two people were with one another. Lola's total acceptance of him made me want to weep, because you get that so little these days. She knew her best friend was a man whore, and no matter how much she loved him, she knew that changing him was impossible. So she choose to accept him, and know that finding monogamous love was not going to be with him--or was it?
I think when the chips all fell into place, James had to know he needed to change or he would lose the one person in his life that could ever love him honestly and unconditionally.
I found myself crying, laughing, and just wanting to hug my nook as I read this story. It had just the right amount of angst, drama, sex, and clever banter. It was just fantastic. And it was different than all the other cookie cutter stuff out there! Loved this story!

Awwww what a great series. I love James and Lola. James is such a sweetie. He is a sensitive soul who shows everything he feels. I loved that he isn't afraid to cry. He and Lola truly are soul mates and Lola was so strong and wise beyond her years.

This book was just okay for me. I had high hopes after reading the synopsis. I thought the storyline sounded good and that it might just be a hidden gem. The story fell sorta flat for me. I just couldn't get into it. Hoping to find the next great book so I can get out of this book funk.

(Review for books 1 and 2)
Holy hell, what a ride! I can honestly say this series is unlike anything I’ve read, and that comes with a lot of positives but also some negatives. Taking a sex-driven alpha porn star, giving him a huge soft side for his best friend, and then making their love story work is no easy task, and I have to give Bianca Giovanni props for what she’s done here.
The history that James and Lola shared was probably my favorite part of this story, because I loved that they’d shared so much over the years. It was very much like a brother-sister relationship seeing as how he was always screwing anything female and then turning around to protect Lola’s purity. Hypocritical, yes, but sweet nonetheless. Then they went and grew up, and the awkward between phase left Lola spreading her wings and James getting paid for exactly what he was good at. James had all the traits of a gifted porn star; trust me, we’re in his head a lot and he thinks exactly how you’d expect a man whose life revolves around being great at sex to think. But then he’s got this other side of him, and it’s not the profound depth you’d get from some male characters, but it’s big for HIM, this man who runs on autopilot, and it makes him real.
When I read Revealed, which I give 3.5 stars and will refer to as “Stage 1” of James and Lola becoming ‘Jola’, I was not sold on this guy. He was very much about making himself feel good and making a name for himself at that point. Lola, while always his precious angel, was not yet really a factor in his decisions and actions, and James was in denial about his feelings for her. While they were sweet together, there was no romance, and I couldn’t see how James was every going to win me over. Then Captured happened, and yeah, I’m definitely feeling the draw to this guy. He still frustrated the hell out of me when he acted out on his base urges early on, because HELLO I want a romance not just sex. But ooooooooooh wow was the sex hot, I mean I almost felt guilty loving how incredible James was at making women other than Lola writhe and moan….almost! I think that’s the brilliance in it though, because if Lola and James had been deeply invested emotionally all along, I would have hated him for going back to what he was doing. So, as much as I wanted more of an emotional punch from them together, I think it would have ruined the whole relationship by making James into a cheating manwhore, instead of just a guy doing his job, enjoying the aftermath, and living in denial about his feelings for his soulmate.
While there may not be a whole lot of depth yet into the emotional well that is Jola (and while there IS a lot of growing up to do), we do see James in several situations that have his heart in tattered shreds, and they were painful. I love him for this side, the part of him that can be so brutally crushed, and it makes him a much better man for his Lola. Though I wasn’t always in his corner and there was a lot more sex than love at times, I’m sold on this series and I look forward to seeing what’s next for James and Lola. They’ve made it through the first huge hurdles, and I’m pulling for them to get whatever version of walking off into the sunset Bianca Giovanni feels fits them best!

It blew my mind that we come back to this achingly sexy friends one year after Lola graduates from college. That means several years after Lola started experimenting her first sexual steps with James.

This time, it's fun to see how used to the porno business James is. We get to visit him while he's shooting some new films. In this novel, though, things get way dark at his work. There's a plot twist that I hadn't anticipated that's both scary and exciting, and I loved all the tension, anxiety and emotional rollercoaster it brought with it.
It means a lot of pressure on James, on who he is and how he perceives himself regarding women. There are many intense moments and a lot of emotional challenge. Lola is also being more adventurous about sex. She is looking for a first full experience and a potential lover. Far from being over, the heat between Lola and James escalates. Due to their friendship, those precious moments of crossing barriers are not threatening, but deliciously intimate and funny.
The darkness in this second novel is pretty disturbing. I don't usually read stuff like that, I was able to go through it because it added so much drama to the characters' story and because it's as taxing for James as it was for me. I was sorry for his predicament. Ah, oh, all the things that keep happening!
It was dirty, intense, scary and thrilling! I couldn't stop reading. My blood was on fire. The plot and the sexiness were amazing.
Still, I was so afraid of the outcome of this horrible hole James was in. Worse, he'd dragged Lola into it and it looked so dire. In truth, what happens between them is heart-wrenching. I want to forgive him because he's been a fool and he's been pushed to his limits, but what he's done is unforgivable.
downsides:
I guess it's understandably difficult to accept that two friends can remain as such despite all the hot encounters through the years. Also, can you so easily forgive a man after such a betrayal? Despite this two points, I really enjoyed myself reading these two novels.
So, I still love the dual points of view, the sweet and loving relationship this unlikely couple share, and the emotional investment this story pries out of me, but the creepy plot twist has buried its claws in my gut for good. Finally, there's so much hope at the end. Is there going to be a third book? I cross my fingers!

This is the second story involving the characters of Lola, 23 and James 26 who have been best friends for the past fifteen years. She has recently graduated from college and has moved into his apartment building to be closer to him. He is a well sought after porn star specializing in BDSM films. She is still are virgin and really has no idea of what his films portray.
They have had feelings for each other for years, he was the first one to feel her breasts and he gave her her very first orgasm. Who better than your best friend right, the one you love and trust over anyone else.
Now Lola has a boyfriend Eric and she is debating loosing her virginity to him. James of course hates him and the idea. When Eric is pressuring her for oral sex of course James offers to instruct her.

Even to the extent of threatening Lola. She wants a video of the taking of the virginity, a true love story she believes that will sell millions of copies, and if he doesn't deliver that Lola will pay the price.
He is between a rock and a hard place, if he tells her she will not understand, but the threats, they are eating him up inside. Should he give in? Dilemnas, dilemnas, what's a porn star/best friend to do. How can he protect her? How can he get her to see just how much she truly means to him.
I loved these characters in the first story and now I am amazed at how much deeper they really are. The love that James has for Lola is evident in every page. He paints her toe nails and cooks her dinner, he takes care of her. Lola tries to avoid her feelings and attempt relationships elsewhere but that backfires too. But will this hurdle just be too big for them to withstand? Will they finally be together? I would give this story a 5/5 and recommend it to everyone. It was outside the box, the story line was fresh and it flowed effortlessly from page one.

As we continue on the story of Lola and James. It picked up with her out of college and moving to live in LA with James. They still have the uncontrollable desire to be near each other. As if they need each other to breathe, in a way that is the truth although there is more than just friendship but both don’t want to admit.
Lola, college graduate, 23, still holding her “V Card” has found someone that she is attracted to and thinks this will be the one although he is a bit older than her. Eric seems to truly enjoy your company and taking things slow that is until he finds out that her best friend is none other than James Laird porn star. Eric knows exactly what James does in his movies wanting to play the scenes out with Lola only things so wrong.
James, porn star, has ventured into the dark side of movies. He is starting to lose himself with the work that he is doing. Once Eva, porn star turn producer, gets her hooks into James, he will do anything to keep Lola safe and out of Eva’s wicked ways even if it cost him Lola in the end.
Will James realize that Lola is the one for him, that he has been in love with her for years? Can Lola pursue a relationship with James knowing that his job is to have sex with other women? Do they get their happy ever after?
I enjoyed the relationship between Lola and James. Their banner toward each other made the book enjoyable. I would love to see what happens to them.

Every time I finish one of Bianca Giovanni’s books, I am beyond anxious for the next. It is one of those books where when you see you are getting to the last couple of chapters, you almost want to slow down and try to draw it out a little longer.
After I finished this book, I put on Chaka Kahn’s, ‘Through The Fire”, because it was sort of playing in my head as I read it. James may have always looked out for Lola in the years past, but now Lola is there for him in a big way. In Urban Dictionary under “Ride or die” should be a picture of Lola. This girl is loyal as the day is long, even if she does have a new boyfriend. Yes, that part caught me a little off guard too, but James needs to man up and I’m glad he is put through some fire on this one. Captured tests their relationship on yet another level and as Chaka Kahn sang, “Through the fire, to the limit, to the wall, for a chance to be with you, I’d gladly risk it all.”
Lastly, let me just say, I love the character names Bianca Giovanni comes up with. Eva Satana? If that is not a porn industry name, it should be. I can picture Lexi Jaxxxon in my head just from that name. Makes me wonder just how well she knows this industry…. maybe Bianca is leading a double life.

This book picks up after Lola graduates from college and James is still working in the porn industry. James and Lola are still friends and managed to get passed the sexual chemistry from the first book and remain friends. Now Lola is getting into dating and James now is roped into some sleazy deal made by his boss and Eva a women known for his hardcore BDSM. James isn't into it but how Eva has managed to find out about Lola and her being a virgin so she makes James make some hard choices.
Just wow, this book really blew me away. I loved this book. This book had a great story line and enough steamy scenes to keep the reader wanting the more. I loved the relationship between Lola and James. I hated what James had to do at the hands of his sleazy hands of his boss and Eva. Lova is sweet and innocent and I loved that she was a women who knows how to use her brain. I loved that there was so much suspense when it came to the Eva issue, I kept wondering if and when she was going to do something to ruin James and Lola's friendship / relationship. I loved how the ending turned out no loose ends or anything. It was a great ending to a great story.

So I still freaking love this series. I honestly would have given this 4 1/2 to 4 3/4 stars. Let me explain why not the whole 5 stars. First we jump into the future and Lola has graduated college and moved to LA near James. I'm cool with that. Where I deduct points is that she's still a virgin! For crying out loud...she beautiful and has a great personality and a great body, but in 4 years of college she never has sex. And I didn't deduct anything in book 1 for the vCard thing because she was still in high school or the fact that she never had an orgasm before James, but I had to here because in all honesty it annoyed me. Also after having said great orgasms they go 4 whole years without touching each other again. Apparently I'm the only one with no willpower. Ok now with that being said as we move along in the book I do realize that there was a reason in this story for that whole virgin thing...which I won't spoil any of that. Still 22 or 23 year old virgins make me crazy.
Ok off my soap box. I still loved the characters, the banter and I'm still madly in love with James. Bianca is a fantastic writer and I'm so looking forward to starting the next book...although I have fear that everything won't be all roses with my fav couple but we will see what happens.

I really enjoyed this series. Start from the beginning with the short stories as it will give you a deeper feeling for the characters. I felt such angst during this novel. I had to put it aside a few times to calm myself down. I just didn't know which way the author was going to direct it. I have never read anything from Ms. Giovanni, so was she a HEA or were things going to end badly for all involved?
The villain in this story is especially evil. It had me tied up in knots. It was during this story line that it was cemented that James was not the sharpest knife in the drawer and I found myself at times wanting to yell at him to call the police. It seemed so simple really. How he managed this challenge made him appear a little too weak for me. Hopefully future installments will have him making a few better decisions on how to handle his life.
Overall, the ending could have been better as it felt a little abrupt. I think the villain storyline had huge opportunities, and it could have wrapped up better with James actually doing something for himself. In the end however, I gave this four stars because it really got to me.

Wow, James and Lola, they have the most intensely bonded and honest relationship ever, it's so solid and drama free. The unconditional love and support they have for each other is amazing. The way James looks at Lola and sees her inner beauty and not just her outer beauty is heartwarming. The way Lola sees James as a tender and caring guy rather than a bonafide porn star is endearing. James is not a jerk at all and Lola isn't shallow. They are both well developed characters who share so much of their lives with each other. The fact that James prioritizes spending time with Lola even to do stuff like paint her toenails or pick up her dry cleaning or make dinner for her shows how much he loves and adores everything about her. Eva Satana definitely brings a satanic-like vibe into the story but it pushes James to realize the depth of his feelings for Lola. As for Lola, she has the guts to break a few rules because she loves James that much and can't stand to see him hurt or manipulated. I really admired Lola for her following her heart and for doing what's right. I can't wait to see what they decide to do next.

I love Lola & James. I love them because I can identify with the, "no we shouldn't do this because of the potential consequences, but we really want to", feelings. Fortunately for them they could act on theirs....me not so much. What I like most about this novel is that when things got real and bad yes there were arguments and sadness but it didn't take years of wasted time. I hate when there are years missing. If people were just willing to listen and fight for that someone. I guess that is what makes some stories so good because you are heartbroken along with the characters. However in this one I was there with Lola & James emotionally but didn't have to go through a long wait. Then there is Eva. I hate her so much. How is it that someone became that evil? And the worst part is that there are really people out there like her! Savannah now needs her own story told...hint hint! There is a good story there of her beginning, middle (shudders) & happily ever after. And of course I am sure Lola & James will be in the background somewhere :)

Vice, Virtue & Video series tells us the story of two best friends and neighbors, James Laird and Lola Caraway.
This series is for sure different. Good different. The plot is unique and captivating.
James and Lola share amazing, strong friendship and relationship. The bond that they have between them is intense and firm.
I very much enjoyed getting to know both of them and peeling layer by layer of their story.
They are both a magnificent developed characters. Lola is strong and loyal and sweet and innocent female lead and it was beautiful to watch her grow even more. James is sex on the stick. Hot and irresistible.
They interactions, their reactions, connection, emotions it was so sweet.
Their journey definitely grew on me as the story progressed. It was for sure a fantastic one, from beginning to end.
Vice, Virtue & Video series is a compulsively readable journey that hooked me and left me begging me more.
Just marvelous and beautiful.

Holy smokes! The sequel to Revealed DID NOT DISAPPOINT! James is as sexy as ever and his relationship with Lola is going to the next level! They are so right for each other and they just needed to get past all the what ifs and s/he's my best friend. That is how great love stories start, starting out as best friends! Lola is now in California and all is right in the world for these two, or so it appears!

He's also scared and concerned that he inadvertently put his cupcake in danger. Holy crow! I love this series. James and Lola's relationship, and how they interact is so sweet...which is funny because James is a porn star :) But really, they are adorable. I love how Lola is unfazed by his good looks:
"I’ve spent over a decade sassing James about his extraordinarily active sex life, and now that he’s doing porn, I have so much more material."
There's a lot of really funny moments, some super hot UST and sex, and the villain! YIKES. Highly recommend. This series just gets better. I can't wait for the next one.

Being the longest in the series, VV&V gives u what u need from the first three. We see Lola grow, become her own woman while trying to deal with her emotions for James. We also see James grow from an arrogant porn tycoon to a truly great man to be reckoned with. Love it can't wait to see what awaits them!
