Hi, I'm Amethyst Winters, lover of stories that will raise my blood pressure and Golden Girls. Seriously, I've watched every episode over a dozen times. I'm probably watching it now.

I write because it brings me peace and comfort. Nothing makes me happier (besides my family, of course. I have to say that.) than bringing a story to life.

Why do I write Dark Romance? I actually love thrillers, and I love love. To me, Dark Romance is the perfect combination of my two loves: thriller and romance. I also write Dark Romance because I believe in broken people finding each other. Also, don't you just love how the MMC is completely devoted to her? How, no matter how corrupt he is, when it comes to her, he becomes soft like a marshmallow?

Favorite shows and book inspirations? You, Dexter, Behind Her Eyes, anything M. Night Shyamalan, From, Wayward Pines, Golden Girls, 227, Amen, The Jeffersons, all those classic 80s sitcoms.

My books can get very dark and triggering to some, but if you can handle any of my favorite shows plus extra spice, you should be okay. Check those trigger warnings on my website anyway.

Absolutely brilliant. This was a dark, suspense-filled read with twists I didn’t see coming. WHAT AN ENDING!!!

I devoured this story and couldn’t wait to see how each chapter would play out. It was a fresh twist on dark romance—and I loved it.

Both the FMC and MMC have dark pasts, driven by vengeance and twisted desires. As their story unfolded, you truly never knew what they would do next!

The VAs brought this story to life with just the right mix of raspiness, intimacy, and possessive tones.

Great Debut! Spicy, murderous, and dark, with twists and turns, and touched and die vibes! Mm!

Now, theres a love story between our MCs behind all that smut, don’t worry! Ayemeline and Ari have a beautiful relationship and a great background! They were interesting to say the least!!

So much is happening in this book but the FMC is definitely not fully seated up there in her head. I absolutely love it. She is insane with a punch of bad ass mixed in with it. She was determined to get what she wanted. As for our MMC he also needs help but he was so entralled by her and it was great. I was not expecting that ending though.

Insatiable is book one in The Unhinged Trilogy . The Unhinged Trilogy could not be a more perfect mane for this series. This is a spicy dark romance. Make sure to check Trigger Warnings before reading. Let me just start my review with my jaw still on the floor. This book started from within a grave(literally) and ended with a vengeful cliffhanger. Ayemeline and Ari both have tragic pasts involving their parents. I was hooked from the first page. Ayemeline and Ari were drawn to each other’s toxicity. I thought they were oddly perfect for each other. This book ended in such an abrupt way that I was and still am completely shocked. While reading Ari and Ayemeline were obsessed with one another in an almost toxic way, but it seemed to work for them. I need book two immediately!! I need to know what happened.

Lacy Laurel and Oscar Reyes did a phenomenal job narrating this series in duet style narration. They both did an incredible job making every character sound completely different and distinct.

Ayemeline and Ari… oh my fiiiiire.

If you want unaliving, smut, plot, he is the bad boy but she is worse vibes…this is for you. The twists and turns this book had! I was on the edge of my seat at times! I got the ALC for this book and I am gonna need book 2 so fast! There was a turning point in this story I did NOT see coming, but neither did Ari to be fair. Definitely was here for this book!

I enjoyed this book. For it being a debut book for this author I’m super impressed. The story was engaging - although I did find the flow to be hard to follow at times.

This was an exciting dark romance with lots of twists and turns. The romance between the two main characters was sweet but super toxic and super hot. I cannot wait for the second book because I feel like the ending didn’t end the way the FMC thinks it ended …

Someone get the spray bottle because this book is SCORCHING!!

Plot? Twisty.
Spice? Unholy.
MMC? Looks like a cinnamon roll, could unalive you.
FMC? Traumatized but ready to burn the world down for her man.

And that ending?? I gasped. Out loud. Alone. Dramatically.

Only note: sometimes the spice stole the spotlight a bit too much.

We start off and I’m like oh ok so she’s dead and we are going to find out what happened

Then you move along the line and this girl has dealt with some messed up stuff not only from her own family but the person she thought was her soul mate.

I did not see that coming and the end?! Yeah I didn’t see that coming either but here we go to book two to see what she does for her revenge

I saw the book cover and ordered the physical book and ebook. I expected dark twists but let’s just say I didn’t think it would be so twisted 😂 I loved every bit of it. I don’t want to give the story away because I’m not a spoiler (no offense to those who are).

Just know the smut is smutting and it’s extra extra dark so please read the trigger warnings.

The story was intriguing I had a difficult time with the audio for this. I struggled with Ayemeline. Don't know if it was the narration for her or the way the character is. She's a bit whiny and entitled. The story was good though and need to know what happens next with that cliffy. Check TWs and give it a shot.

This is book one of The Unhinged Trilogy. Ayemeline and Ari both have tragic pasts. They are both dark and toxic but are perfect for each other. This is a dark romance, so read the trigger warnings. So I did this as an audio and I absolutely loved the mmc voice, he was amazing! But I have to say, the mfc voice was so annoying. She wined all the time and I just had to forced myself through it. But other wise the book is amazing, the story has banter and spice!!

This audiobook was phenomenal. For me it was a pleasure to listen to the story and it gave it more of a flare than reading it. Now don't get me wrong I've read it but to listen to it as an audio offers a whole other experience. I could visualize every little detail that was happening in this story. And the narrators they were amazing. I really liked their voices for these characters. Plus they were easy to listen to and lovely to hear.

now that's out the way!!! This chick was beyond unhinged and so was he! But I don't think he was ready for Ayemeline! She just knew it was love at 1st sight!

Chick had some problems and so did Ari! And these together was just a fire waiting to happening! She was so toxic and he was kinda! I leaning more on her being toxic because if he would have stayed away from her it would have been ok! This chick doing the devils work! when it hit about 54%-55% I screamed!! after that this book had me so stuck i couldnt stop reading!! I couldn't put my kindle down! I needed to know!! Was their meeting by chance or was is planned on his part?! Was he playing her?! First let me start by saying that book 2 needs to come out now! This love story had more in’s and out’s then Ayemeline and Ari having sex. If you’re one to easily get turned on, then this book is for you.
I loved the mystery behind each character. Learning their background was very interesting and kept me guessing about them. These were definitely some messed up people, especially when the real them came out. And that kept the story exciting and me wanting to move on to see what’s next.
Everything flowed nicely together and you could relate in the real world. The last chapter and Epilogue were the best in the whole book. On the edge of your seat “Oh My God” reaction. I can’t wait for the next book!

4.5 stars- I received the ARC. It was sort of insta love which I didn’t like but it’s okay. I liked learning about their experiences, their childhood, trauma, seeing them grow together as a couple and build a bond/trust within one another to share their secrets. Ari scared me a bit (won’t say why as to not spoil it), but Amelyne is crazy too. It gave me Butcher & Blackbird vibes. It had lots of spice but also lots of trigger warnings! I found the story telling and dual POV enjoyable and the plot twists at the end had my jaw on the floor.

What a fantastic debut novel! From an inspiring new author I was really drawn into this story and craved more! It had an amazing plot and I of course adored the characters. Twist and turns. Spicy dark romance. Who could ask for more!? I'm truly intrigued and can't wait for the next book!

What can I say? I'm definitely team Auria! Whenever she opened her mouth either to speak or to eat I was rolling on the ground! I laughed so hard I had tears rolling down both cheeks lol 😆

Auria aside, this was an amazing book! I must admit this was my first time reading this genre, but Amethyst Winters shines like gold, and I eagerly await book #2 :)

Do yourself a favor and read it, and I dare you not to laugh when you read Auria's parts ;)

I won this book thru a Goodreads giveaway. While I have read dark romance books before, I had not heard of this book or the author, so I am lucky I got a chance to read it.

Well written for this genre. Definitely read the trigger warnings at the beginning, as there are a lot of intense spice scenes, and a whole lot of violence. Very dark, very effed up, very spicy.

I might need to go read something mild like a slow-burn romance after this!

Pretty Decent!!

This was a pretty decent read. The story line was unique and kept me intrigued, however some places didn’t flow very well. That along with errors, took my attention away from the story and made it hard to enjoy. I really liked the characters, especially Ayemeline, and the relationship between her and Ari was amazing. Also the spice was absolutely delicious!!
