About the author

I'm an author illustrator. My books are inspired by the gooniness of children. I have always loved drawing

I am a self taught as an illustrator and studied Theology at Cambridge. I learned the tricks of the trade by drawing objects to scale for the Oriental Galleries of the British Museum, and then later working on newspapers.

My books have been widely translated, and one, The Twins, was adapted for a cartoon series.

A very sweet children's story for your little one. Great small, but simple illustrations on every page. I would say a very cute plot this story follows. I found it great to read at bedtime and once the book is finished if they are not asleep quite yet ask them if they would "sleep tight, All night long" for you. This book is a pretty easy read and very short. Less than 25 pages. Very adorable book that I highly suggest you read to your child and it could suggest them to be more polite and helpful around the home.

My nephew absolutely LOVES this story! It is actually a book that sparked his interest in learning English language (English is our second language), when he was only 6. He asked me to read it to him so many times and every time he would ask me some English words that appeared in the text and repeat them hundreds of times until he memorized them all.
Fun book, definitely a must read for a child!

Beautiful illustrations by Harry Horse are exactly perfect for this gentle story about a little boy (well; a little bear) who wants to help his mother. As an aside, the father is not present in this story, so it might be an especially great book for kids with single moms or who have friends with single moms.

This book is adorable! It is about a young bear named Little Charlie who is very tired after a long day of helping Mama. Little Charlie will do anything for his Mama. He will even get into bed, snuggle down, shut his eyes, and sleep tight for her. This is a great read aloud bedtime story for youngsters. My daughter loved it! I wish getting her to bed was that easy! The pictures illustrated by Harry Horse are darling! If you enjoyed 'Guess How Much I Love You' by Sam McBratney, then you will probably enjoy this book as well. I highly recommend this book, a sweet story about that special bond between a mother and a child.

This is a standard sweet bedtime book. Little Charlie, approximately equivalent to a three-year-old boy, tries his best to help Mama, but is too young to do more than make a mess. When he volunteers that he would do anything for Mama, of course she uses his enthusiasm to ask him to get into bed for her, close his eyes for her, and sleep all night long for her. Harry Horse's illustrations are, as always, charming.

This is a cute book for toddlers - Julia likes it enough to ask for it every few nights.
The story is about a momma and baby bear - the baby bear is showing off to his momma and telling her he'd do this for her and that for her and she promptly tricks him into bed by doing "anything for her".
The illustrations are okay and the story itself is good - I like the non-rhyming. So many kids books are overdoing it with the rhymes.

This Christmas gift from cousins, probably prompted in part because the bear's name is Little Charlie, is really cute and sweet and fun. The illustrations are lovely and the story is charming and it's a nice bedtime book too, so all in all it's just about right. It also inspired me to incorporate a certain song from Oliver! into our bedtime singing repertoire.

Cute and sweet, that's the way that I would describe Anything For You. I really love the message in the text much more than the artistry. This is a great one for the shelves and a good bed time book. I really enjoy books from HarperCollins.

Sweet sweet story of a little bunny who would do anything for his mama. This is a great story to read at bedtime, and I feel the same as the mama bunny that going to bed and staying in bed is one of the greatest things little kiddos can do. The tender part is the mama who says she will do anything for her little bunny. Great tender story.
