Vengeful Promises is book two of the Siderov duet and jumps right back into the action as Emily finds herself in deep trouble while Konstantin rushes to save not only his sister but the love of his life too.
“I know what her heart says even if there’s not a single word exchanged between us.”
What I loved about this book was the character growth, for both Konstantin and Emily. Konstantin finally becomes Pakhan in the most powerful way and claims his rightful throne however what he gains even more in this book is true love. The balance that he struggled with in book one becomes stable as he fully submits himself to being a better husband and seeing his grandmother for who she truly is, EVIL. It is so evident that Konstantin would do absolutely anything for his love and it’s really nice to read a non-toxic Bratva Pakhan who is more grounded and family based.
Emily on the other hand grows exponentially. Once a delicate and scared pushover, she grows into an amazing Pakhan’s wife, powerful in her own right and learns to put herself above others. She accepts Konstantin’s love as pure and loves deeply back. As they grow into a strong and happy couple, I loved seeing them flourish in their roles and devotion to each other.
“Love doesn’t need something to offer”
The spice was spicy, the feelings were full of emotion, and the plot was excellent. Everyone got what they deserved and in the end, Emily gained a proper family that loved her so it was an incredibly satisfying end. I wish I could have gotten an epilogue to see Olivia a little more but I can’t complain, I enjoyed this duet wayyyy too much.
Brook Wilder always comes out with the best romances and it’s always fun to see what new worlds she creates next.
