Sapphira and Severin are navigating treacherous landscape and face difficult decisions in order to shape their destiny. The world is torn between rage and harmony, so choose your path wisely on this ultimate quest for balance as you join them in a tale of strength and resilience.
I absolutely adored this book! It's action packed with a story that will have you so completely immersed that you absolutely will not put it down until you finish it.
The author will make you feel like you are in the story, you will feel the hurt, the betrayal, the fear and the love. You'll be on the edge of your seat ready to see where else the story will take you. The world building is perfection and the spicy bits were just right.
Sapphirna is a badass FMC, from the first chapter we see that she truly takes no shit from anyone and will do anything necessary to protect the ones she loves. Severin is a cinnamon roll MMC that will also do anything necessary for those he loves and those he protects.
It ends on a cliffhanger so be prepared to not know what to do with yourself once you finish😂 I cannot wait until I get my hands on book two!! 10/10 recommend for anyone looking for a new obsession!!
This fantasy tale takes you on a journey to tell the tale of two similar souls whose mothers were ripped away from them and they will only be able to find solstice in one another. The amount of angst and emotion thrown into this literary work of art is immaculate. Sapphira, having lost everything and everyone expect for her sister, puts on the stone hard front of no emotion except the rage boiling within her. Severin is the only hope she has to get a handle on things, but what she doesn't realize is that he needs her just as much as she needs him. 🥺🖤
The plot twist and the cliffhanger ending hurt me more than I care to admit. I had to literally pick my jaw up off the floor because the last 5% of this story will leave you in a state of pure shock. 🙃🙃
Witches, wolves, love, angst, and all the things in between will leave you wanting nothing except the second installment to this series!

This is an ARC review even though it’s published now! This was a 3.75-4 stars ⭐️ read for me. It’s a fast paced book following a witch and a werewolf. It’s a quick read (under 300 pages) and has a lot of favorite tropes (fated mates, close proximity, golden retriever MC, feisty FMC). I will be reading book 2!
We have a FMC that is self aware and badass! What else do we want?
The story was really well written and even though some characters were not so likeable, I couldn’t stop reading it! And even though Knox was one of the less likeable ones, I kinda liked his vibe.
The romance side of this book was easy to follow and understand as they had similar struggles in their past.
I loved how the story progressed and how other characters were introduced…
The only thing.. THE CLIFFHANGER????! Will need second book asap!!!
Thank you, Ophelia, for sending me your book 🫶🏻 So grateful!
Okay okay so honestly I didn’t have high hopes for this book because I’m not used to the fated mates wolves trope, but to my surprise I really enjoyed it, I love the way Sapphira is such as strong character and how she would go to great lengths to protect her sister. But when everything happened with her sister she wasn’t down to protect her anymore, seeing how Sapphira showed her grief and how she handled situations was amazing but also saddening because there was no one to teach her better ! Lillie literally carried this book I absolutely love her my queen! But I see now why the title has “rage and harmony” in it ! I’m absolutely stunned and betrayed by the ending, I wish the pacing was a bit slower but with speaking to Ms. Ophelia about it she said it’s her debut and she wanted it to be short so i understand why it was fast pace. I’m giving this book a 4 star rating ! Thank you for choosing me as an arc reader Ophelia!
“living in the shadows is hard, but every shadow needs a light, tiniest of seeds can sprout to become the biggest tree. We all start somewhere and provide something.”
This was my first taste of a witch & werewolf type book & I enjoyed it SO much! Currently seeking all the badass witch, werewolf recs!! The only reason I gave this book .5 off of 4 stars was just the fast pace of the novel. Which is totally fine, it wasn’t something that wasn’t advertised it’s part of the tropes. I just don’t think I can keep up with such a fast pace book. Don’t get me wrong I WILL be reading book two, cause book one ended with a cliffhanger & I’m 100% invested now!! The book has a very good story line & the characters are great!! Sapphire is the FMC and a badass black witch & I mean badass. Those first few chapters 😮💨
✨The Promise of Rage and Harmony✨
"I am a woman, and to be a women is to be hunted. I was tired of being prey, tired of watching the women I love fall victim. So I became the one thing that men fear." I looked at her, waiting for an answer but she turned her head and pet her horse that had now laid down next to her. "What did you become?" I choked out, and she just shrugged her shoulder and coolly spoke. "A monster."
First off, I have to say that Sapphira is such a bada**.
I absolutely love a morally grey character, and it was awesome to see a FMC that has taken on the role. Immediately I wanted to know more about her, and learning about the events that made Sapphira into the "monster" she calls herself is heartbreaking but adds so much depth to her character.
This first book in the series was a fast paced read and really helped to introduce the main characters and build a world where power hungry men rule with cruelty and demons lurk in the darkness of the forests. While looking after her sister Ivy, Sapphira is forced to chose sides and fight for the future she wants.
The book was written with dual POV, and I enjoyed this fresh take on a dark romantasy. The spice was minimal but added to the story, and the mythology created for this world kept me on the edge of my seat. This book felt like a puzzle, with pieces being found along the way, creating an even bigger storyline at the end. And boy what and end it is, that cliffhanger!
It was nice to see the characters grow over the story and I can't wait to continue Sapphira's journey in book two.
Sapphira is a dark witch one that her community along with every other town wants to either get rid of her or use her for bad things. When she meets Severin she puts up her walls immediately. She doesn’t need a man and she has to stick to this in her mind to keep herself and Ivy (her sister) safe. Ivy is the one thing that matters to her most.
After hammering down the walls that she has built Severin makes sure to show her love. Sapphira and Severin is the couple you want to work no matter what. But you also know it could be dangerous. She becomes aware quickly that she shouldn’t fall in love with him. But how could she resist such a sweet golden retriever of a man.
But she has bigger things she has to keep an eye on. But will their love last through war and dark times? Will she prevail through the people who want to see harm come her way?
This is a series and the first in the series of books. I’m very excited for the story to continue 🩵
Wow! I read this book less than four hours. I ate it up. I could not get enough. I wanted to see what direction Severin and Sapphira would go in. I am left here with my mouth open. This books has everything that you could want. It has a very slow burn, but it's worth the fire in the end but I can't get the second book fast enough so I know how to prepare my heart for the next round. This book will absolutely keep you guessing it's got so many twists and turns and so unpredictable.
I won't lie, I went into this book completely blind. I was expecting a woman on a revenge path after the first chapter, just to be thrown into wolves and witches and honestly. It was amazing. This book was very well written, and each chapter had me more on the edge of my seat than the last. I couldn't even see the twist coming and I am left in shock. I can't wait to begin the second book and see Sappheria and Severin again!
I went back and reread a little because I have the honor of reading book 2 very soon and I needed to go back through all the dramas. There’s so much going on and it is a slow burn. Our FMC is a bad ass and I’m not sure how to feel about her sister. Not even sure how to feel about the MMC’s brother…. No spoilers. Just lots of what the hell and now wait a minutes on my end. This was exciting and I’m so excited for the second book.
Well aren't we just at a little cliffhanger here. To say I'm curious is an understatement. I'm angry with one character and don't know how I feel about another. I have a feeling her character growth will be great. But damn do I want to know what happens right now. A powerful FMC who has had to be strong her whole life. I want her to have a happy ending
This book gripped me from start to finish with its storyline and strong characters. The ending though? Absolutely maddening. I can't wait for book 2. If you're looking for a fantasy that scratches every itches from fated mates to witches to wolves this is it. There's political intrigue and betrayal galore!
This book may be a quick read, but it's a wild ride. Our FMC is strong and aware of who she is and what she wants, but what happens when she experiences the one thing she doesn't know how to react to?
You will learn to love some that you may have disliked and dislike (quickly) characters you thought were of good character.
The RANGE of emotions i felt reading this book is unreal, from confusion, anger, sadness, even being proud. The promise of rage and harmony starts off slow, you have no idea whats coming until it hits you, then you're suddenly fully submerged in the fantasy, Ophelia has a way of making you feel like you're in the book as the world changes around the main characters. I had to pace myself reading this as I was ill, but i kept not being able to put it down and ended up reading for hours. Forbidden love, magics and creatures of lore, betrayal, overbearing love for their siblings. One guy who you swear could be a villan but is really just that up his own arse? I was on the edge of my seat coming to the end of this book, one of the chapters had me bawling my eyes out and the ending took me by surprise I found myself shouting AND THEN WHAT? WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? I can't wait for the second book of this series, I can't wait to find out what happens after that cliffhanger and what happens to our main characters and how this universe progresses
A true story of feminine rage at its finest. A super slow burn enemies to lovers. And an ending that will surely fuel your own feminine rage. Luckily, I won't have to wait long for the next book to see how it all ends up. The whole time I was reading, I found myself wanting and craving more. I need to know more about the world, the lore, and the characters.
Damn, I did not know this book was going to hit as hard as it did. Sapphira and Severin are amazing lead characters, fully fleshed out with trauma and duty, and the plot, with its twists and turns, kept me on the edge of my chair - and holy crap, that ending!! Thank goodness book 2 is already out because seriously, after that cliffhanger, I want to know what happens now!
has you hooked and swinging your feet like a little girl right from the beginning. The sister though ?! Had me feeling all types of way. Definitely a good and slow burn read. THE ENDING 🙀 can’t wait for the second book 📚
Loved the story! Definitely couldn't put it down and stayed up way too late reading it (haha). Absolutely loved the intertwining of witches and werewolves and I am excited for the second one coming soon! Cannot wait to see how the story unfolds, as I'm thoroughly intrigued.
This was such a unique world and story! I can’t wait to see where it goes. It could use a bit more editing but 🤷🏼♀️ I can’t wait to read the next one.
I absolutely enjoyed this read. I loved the personalities of both Sapphira and Severin. The dark fantasy aspects of the description of this book is what really piqued my interest. That ending, ughh it had me so hooked. I am looking forward to the next one in the series.
We meet Sapphira and her sister Ivy who have been orphaned and within the first few chapters of the novel must go on the run from the anti-conformist soldiers.
As we follow the sisters on the run we meet two brothers, who happen to be princes, on their way to free the city that Sapphira and her sister fled from the anti-conformists.
In this grand adventure we find romance, intrigue and betrayal.
I cannot wait for the next novel.
The book was well written and left me wanting to binge the sequel immediately.
This two book series is one you absolutely must read back to back because once you start, you just HAVE to know what happens! The first book is like a short little intro. We get some character backgrounds, love interest are developed and the plot really begins to unfold! The start of the second book picks up right where the first left off (WHICH I LOVED!!) which helps with the story flow!
Ophelia did an amazing job with these characters! Sapphira really was the token older sister who cared for everyone but saw herself as a monster. Ivy plays the annoying little sister who has been sheltered from real life and is seen as overly selfish until something life changing happens. Severin is just baby. He has no idea what’s going on 99% of the time, but he is all good vibes and love. Knox is daddy. I said what I said. AMIR IS THE ONE THAT THREW ME THROUGH A LOOP THOUGH! I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT IN BOOK 2 MA’AM!!!
These books were a nice little escape from reality ♥️
For Both Books: Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🌶️ Magic: 🪄🪄🪄🪄 Ease of Reading: 📚📚📚📚
Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to read your books Ophelia ♥️
I need the second book ASAP! That cliffhanger was brutal. The story was super interesting, and I was hooked pretty quickly. The world-building was well thought out. Can we have more strong female main characters like Sapphira? Severin was a total cinnamon roll MMC, and he would burn the whole world down for the ones he loves. It is told in dual POV, which I love, being able to read both characters' emotions and perspectives. The spice is well written and only adds to the plot. I highly recommend adding this to your TBR when it releases on July 30th. Thank you, Opeliah, for the opportunity to read your debut book! ❤️
