Librarian Note: Alternate/new cover edition for ASIN# B00AOCCDFO.

Flirting with boys and hanging out with her best friend pretty much sums up Esmerelda’s life, but it’s all about to change. At eighteen, the toughest decision she should have to make is whether or not to go to college, not helping her dad pick out a casket for her mother. But, it’s not until wounds heal instantly and flowers bloom in front of her eyes that she begins to question her sanity.

Nothing. Absolutely nothing, could prepare her for being kidnapped and flown out of the country, only to find out her kidnapper is a warlock. Sanity? At this point she is sure either hers or his is gone. Magic isn’t real, it’s in stories and fairy tales parents tell little kids. Or is it? But there’s more, much more… her blood is the secret gift bestowed by five dead witches and there is one warlock who’ll stop at nothing to get it. To end the curse to his power and save herself, she must awaken the witches from their graves. Shouldn’t be hard, right?

With life as Esmerelda knew it officially over, it isn’t until she meets Ian that she starts to feel normal again. He’s all the eye candy plus a Guardian wrapped up in one hot package. But, the feelings she has for him aren’t welcome because they make her forget the danger she’s in. And forgetting could mean her death.

M.R. Polish has been writing since she was a young girl. She would tell her stories to anyone who would listen until she discovered she could put them onto paper.

Out on the ocean is her favorite place to be and would live on a cruise ship if she could, traveling the world, but alas, adulting and responsibilities keep her grounded.

M.R. is happily married to someone who would gladly follow her onto a ship and sail away. They have four kids, who might be more adventurous jet-setters than their mother.

Witches, Vampires, Guardians and spirit wolves - OH MY. I've read a lot of paranormal books with all these types of characters in them, and I have to say, this storyline is still very unique! I felt like I was learning about a whole new world(can I telleport there, please?) and it sucked me in. I was up until 5 AM to finish reading!

Esmerelda lead a normal life growing up. It wasn't until her mom passes away that her life goes haywire. And it's not because of normal events that follow the death of a parent. It's the fact that she learns she's a very powerful witch and has a very important role to play in a world she knows nothing about.

Esmerelda immediately captured my heart. She was so naive and sweet. I wanted to hug her and make her my BFF. But as her adventure progressed, she matured so much. I loved that she still held onto that innocent eighteen-year-old heart, but she was more confident and really grew into who she was.

There was also a really great love triangle, which we all know I can't resist. I had tweeted M.R. that I was all about Jarak, Es's Guardian. He's so protective of her as he gets drawn to her more and more. They are both so sweet about it, lusting after each other but not knowing how to react to their feelings. And then comes Ian, Jarak's brother, and I jumped ships. I'm a total bad boy lover and he got me with his splash of sweetness, too. How lucky is Es to have two awesome Guardians pinning after you? I may have been a little jealous.

In all, I'm itching for the next one. We were going full speed ahead and I want to know what happens! We are left with so many possibilities to ponder and it's killing me. But that just makes me love Wolf Spell that much more!

Favorite Lines “At least I could be there for her, and I’d protect her at every cost. I could do that. I would be her Guardian until I died protecting her.”

“Those around you are not who they appear. Take no chances. Only a few are true and will help you. The one who finds you first is good. Many heartaches are about to come into your life, but what you will have to do is for the best.”

“You won't lose her. You will protect her. We will protect her,” Maztic declared.”

“I love you. With every fiber of my being. I have loved you for years. Since I was eight I’ve had dreams of you. I can’t live without you and I need you to choose me.”

I never get tired of readying about magic, vampires, and wolves. This story was great! Es is half guardian and half witch.
She finds out that every part of her life has been a lie. Her parents aren't really her parents, she's not really who she thought she was, and her name isn't really even what she grew up to believe.
When she's kidnapped by Victor and told her mother isn't actually dead she can't believe it! Then she finds out her mom isn't really her mom but, a witch who kidnapped her from her real parents so she could help a evil warlock!
Then she meets a guardian names Jarak. He's incredibly sweet and cute. He will do anything to protect her. She needs it too!
Nicholas is a evil warlock who craves power! He's making a army of half-breeds. Half Witch Half Vampire the only way he can do it is with Es and her blood and power.
I loved watching Es grow into her powers and become the witch/guardian she's meant to be. She handles is amazingly! Is Jarak for her or is his brother Ian her true mate? After waking up the witches and reuniting with her parents everything changes!
This was a great book and I would tell anyone who likes paranormal to check it out!

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

My REVIEW~~~
OMG!! I'm kicking myself because I haven't read this sooner! It is TOTALLY FABULOUS AMAZING READ! It rocked my socks off that is for sure. Now I have to anxiously wait to get the second book Wolf Dream! I'm astounded that this is a debut book and that it hasn't been grabbed by a major publisher! This author truly has a talent that needs to be world wide. This story is full of ups, downs, twists, and turns with romance, action, deception, guilt, love, pride, pain, and more.I love love love the supernatural element in this read. It has witches, warlocks, Guardians, Wolfs, vampires, and crossbreeds. This book has become one of my all-time favorite reads! The writing is superb! The descriptions of the characters, background, and scenery is breathtaking that you feel as though you are there with Esmerelda. As a reader I connected with the characters and I could feel the emotions that they were in the story. I absolutely can not wait to read more by this amazing author. I give a five star review if I could give more stars I would!

Witches, warlocks, vampires, shape shifters, guardian, wolf spirits…what more could a person want? Sorry, not werewolves. But this book does not lack in the paranormal. Oh no, it’s packed full from start to finish. Sometimes a bit too much, because I started getting confused in places with so much going on.

The prologue gives you just a taste of the back story, just enough that you can understand certain things in the present day. The start of the actual book is Arabeth at her mother s funeral, certain things happen; we meet Victor in a not so convenient way and see just a glimpse of Arabeth’s powers which are unknown to her.

Okay, I’ve got to touch on something here. Arabeth is 18. Somehow her “parents” were able to hide from her that fact that she has powers. This I just don’t get. She has an accidental power moment at the funeral. How could she not have had numerous episodes prior without realizing something was just not right?

From here the story takes off like a rocket. The action is pretty non-stop and the reader is learning something new in every chapter. Some of the emotions are a bit off. I mean, if you found out the people who raised you weren’t really your parents and what you were taught of your family turned out to be a big lie, I think there would have been a lot of soul searching, words, etc. going on, but there really wasn’t.

There are so many different layers to this book that it’s hard to touch on one without having to go into another and then the domino effect happens and bam, you’ve told all the good stuff. Love, loyalty, betrayal, secrets, etc. This book wraps everything you could want into it and still makes you want to come back for more.

WOLF SPELL, is an action-packed, enjoyable read, with undpredictable twists. It's the first an a series--thank goodness, cuz I HAVE to see what happens next!

The main character, Arabeth, has no idea that she's a witch. A very special witch. After her mother dies, she's taken to another country to learn about her true identity...and is taught how to control her powers. The pressure is on because an evil warlock wants her for himself. This warlock will do anything to capture her, including turning to vampires for help.

Thankfully, Arabeth--as Esmerelda--has a loyal guardian, Jarak (who gets his power from a spirit wolf).

And he's totally hot.

She needs his help--and love--to fight an army of vampires.

3.5 stars.

i didn't like the love triangle. it really took away from the story. i am team Ian btw.

i also wish that there would have more me of the back story. I'd love to see Ian's perspective of the past.

other than that it was a good book. unique.

I really liked the storyline and the characters in the book and it was a super quick read for me. However, the editing was horrible! I got it for free on Amazon so I am hoping that it was just a bad download or something. Hopefully, the 2nd book doesn't have all the mistakes this one had.

3.5 really Goodreads needs to get a half star thing.

Okay so this book started off running, and I love when books do that. So it started off strong and went throughout the book, there weren't a whole lot of moments when the reader could get bored, and I don't know about you but that is pretty much ideal for me. So the plot keeps going, and the reader I don't think can get that lost. M. R. Polish really makes it easy for the reader to understand these paranormals and the world we are brought into.

So the reasons i gave it a 3.5 verses the full out four? Well for me somethings felt very on the surface, we were told things, we were suppose to accept them. I think that now that i have finished the book i understand why, but still. I appreciate the authors that aren't afraid to have two love interest but doesn't do the love triangle... how is the possible? Ever heard of a first love? But i think that is what M. R. Polish was going for but at the end it still felt love triangle-y. But i think this is were i had a huge problem. Things with the boys sometimes felt on the surface to me. Like I said before i understand it more now though. Also a lot of things were kind of blown over... which i will explain later and hide because they are a bit of spoilers.

The plot was definitely original which i totally loved, and i loved that even though Es wasn't at first all kick ass she does transform. So which leads to my review on the characters

Es: whose name in the beginning of the book was Ara (well nickname but i can't spell either of her full names so i am not going to try). Es lets the use of her real name go without much of a fight and i think that i would have fought for that a little more. I think that i would have but hey that is me. Even when she finds out the truth about somethings she was very causal, almost, about it. I'm not saying blow up about everything but i think these things deserved a bit of a freak out? Anways i think i mentioned already how she isn't at first this kickass, blood don't bother me even though i have never been part of this life style before mood. She freaks the hell out, and hell i would have freaked the hell out too. What makes me love her though was that she knew when to freak out, for how long, and to accept somethings and deal with others later.

Jarak: is the first boy-toy who shows up. He is a Guardian... don't know what that is, well too bad you will find out when you read the book ;). Anywhos, he is at first seemingly very interested in our gal Es. I just don't like how his old relationship shows up and starts to rear its head when they start to get closer. It is i think suppose to be a wedge between them but it felt a little lost on me. Anyways, the old relationship is kept in the dark for a long time and Jarak tries to push through. And he is protective, he i think could have been better developed in his own self. The POV shifted between Es and him for the majority of the book but his personality sometimes blended into each other's.

Ian: God did i love him. He doesn't show up until a little more than half way through the book. that saddened me because i wanted more of him. He is very coarse when we first meet him. but alone with Es he is a completely different person, and unlike Jarak his POV shifts didn't blend as much with Es's personality. He is a different guy, and he was an interesting character. There was more to him than what meets the eye. I think that if we had more of him i would have truly and utterly fell in loves but we get such a limited about he was lost on me. So now i have to add in those spoiler stuff BUT FIRST BEFORE I DO THAT! Check out my blog because it will tell you other books i loved, other books i sort of loved, and books my friend loved and really she has great taste... and i am sorry i am being that asshole but at least i am doing at the end-ish of this post so check out here: http://theviolethourbookreviews.wordp...

So here are my spoiler/reasoning for 3.5 also but i can't say either because of the spoiler-ness: so there we go. Thats that.

When I started reading this book I actually had no idea what was going on! It starts straight away and it was very sudden! I found it slightly confusing as there were a lot of names mentioned as well but as the book progressed I was able to figure out what was happening and also work out the background of the plot and also where each of the characters fitted in to it! Apart from that and after I could follow the book I actually really enjoyed it! The plot of this book was pretty original! I normally don't really like reading books about witches as they are normally quite cliché but I found Wolf Spell to have it's own original aspects to the main character being a witch! There were also other supernatural elements in this book as well which kept it interesting and fresh! The characters were written amazingly! Esmerelda 'Es' was the main character and I really liked her! She full embraced her magic and she found out a lot about her life during this book and you couldn't help but feel sorry for her! Jarak was one of the love interest's of Es and I loved him! He was protective of Es and you could tell that he really had feelings for her when you got a glimpse into his head when the story was told from his point of view! I loved Ian as well though for the exact same reasons! I really enjoyed Wolf Spell being written from Es's, Jarak's and at some scenes Ian's point of view as it made the book so much more interesting! It actually took the love triangle between Es, Jarak a while to come into play as Ian came into this book quite far into it! The love triangle progressed quite far for Ian only being in the book for about the last 40%! I actually liked this love triangle but I couldn't pick between Jarak and Ian! I was Team Jarak at the beginning of the book but then I honestly couldn't choose when Ian was introduced! I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series and I really like the cover! Big thank you to M.R. Polish for providing me with a copy of Wolf Spell and also to Supagurl for having me on the Blog Tour!

I received Wolf Spell in return for an honest review as part of the tour hosted by Supagurl Tour. For 18 years Esmerelda has lived her life assuming she was a normal girl until she’s kidnapped at her mother’s funeral. Esmerelda is tossed into a world she didn't know existed fighting against a warlock who is intent on using her to help him create the perfect crossbreed. Not only will she have to deal with the crazy warlock but she’s going to have to learn to use her powers quick because she has vampires hot on her trail.

However Esmerelda doesn't have to face Nicholas alone she’s joined by her Guardian Jarak whom she’s attracted to but before she can win his heart Ian saves her life causing her to question if Jarak is the right one. Choosing between the guys is the least of her worries, as she learns to master her powers and avoid being taken again. She will learn who she can trust, even learn that her mother wasn't her real mother. Faced with overwhelming challenges Esmerelda will have to risk her life before it’s too late.

I was instantly drawn to Wolf Spell based on the cover. I've always been a huge werewolf fan but M.R. Polish takes a unique twist creating a new being called wolf spirits I wasn't sure at first but by the end I was sold. Wolf Spell is captivating from start to finish I actually stayed up late reading just so I could know what would happen to Esmerelda and the guys. I’m not sure how I feel about her having two potential love interests maybe it’s because I hate love triangles so I’m on the fence about that. I felt that wolf spell was brilliantly written it draws you in right from the start and keeps you till the end leaving you wanting more. An action packed story filled with suspense mystery and little romance. As the debut book by M.R. Polish I think she did a fantastic job creating a new world filled with paranormal creatures. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next chapter of Esmerelda’s story.

Wolf Spell was the book of the month for my book group and I could not have been happier with the choice. This book really draws you in and keeps hold of your attention right up until the end. I must say that I cannot wait for the next installment.

The story centers around Arabeth. She is a young woman who works at a flower shoppe and lives in an apartment with her best friend out in Vegas. When we first meet Arabeth she is preparing for her mother's funeral. When she finally reaches the cemetery she is abducted by her mother's so called doctor. The strange part is that during the whole abduction nobody came to her aide or heard her screams. She cannot fathom how something like that could occur.

Arabeth life changes dramatically. She learns that her life has been something it was never meant to be, normal. Her name is not her given name, her "parents" are the people who abducted her at birth, and she is a very powerful and sought after witch. Life can sure throw twists and turns, but when everything you have thought to be myth turns out to be very real, you begin to question your sanity for at least a minute. Arabeth has a hard time wrapping her mind around it, but with time starts to embrace her new life and future.

What book would be complete without some dreamy boys. Jareck is the guardian hired to look out for Arabeth. Everything is fine until he starts having feelings for his new charge. Those feelings cause a war within himself as he believes that his heart still belongs to another. He doesn't have much time to get his feelings in order though before his brother Ian enters the picture. Ian unlike Jareck has dreamed of Esmerelda since he was 8 years old. Having seen that Arabeth and Esmerelda are one in the same he is prepared to fight for what he believes is rightfully his.

This is an amazing story and again I cannot wait for the next installment of this series.

Wolf Spell by M.r. Polish

Rating 5****

This book was provided from the author in exchange for honest literary review.

Sometimes an author just nails it, and that is the only way to say it about this novel. If you are a paranormal fiction love like myself then this is truly a book you NEED TO READ! I had this in my u to be read pile for a couple months, and man I wish I had gotten to it sooner.
There's witch's, prophecies, vamps, wolves, and crossbreeds all wrapped up in one. The plot is a delicious blend of romance, suspense, action and betrayal. It's so juicy you just cannot put it down. I read the entire thing in one sitting.....and was mad the second book wasn't out yet.
Esmeralda is the daughter of a powerful witch and a Guardian. Stolen from her biological parents asa child, she lives her first 18 years oblivious to her powers and the whole magical world. When her "mother" dies, it sets off a spiral of enlightenment which leaves her realizing that all the creatures from the fairy tales of her childhood are in fact real. Some can be trusted, some cannot. The key to her survival and that of the world as we know it lies in her hands.
The plot is fantastic. It is extremely well developed and fast paced. I chewed my nails often here. The characters are awesome and have so much realism. Finally an author writes about a heroine who isn't perfect! She has flaws like the rest of us which makes her just amazing. I have to say this is a mist read for 2013. The sequal is coming put in a few weeks so go pick this one up and get started on it, you won't be sorry. This is one of those you keep around and read over and over again. Recommended for ýA and above....great book to fall into. Happy Reading!!!!!

My Review:

This is the first book by M.R. Polish and I will tell you that you will NOT be disappointed!! Right from the very beginning I was sucked into the story and couldn’t stop reading. I mean what could you not love when a book has witches, and vampires?? She describes everything and everyone so perfectly that I could picture everything/everyone in the book. I feel in love with Es and her story about learning she’s a witch and has powers. The other characters (Jarak and Ian) were such great additions to the storyline and I cannot wait to see what happens next for all of them ;)

Definitely a must read!

3.5 stars out of 5.0

I got this book because I saw everyone talking about it on Facebook. I figured "Why Not?". I went to Goodreads and read some really good reviews. I got excited about a love triangle, wolves and witches/warlocks. It sounded like a great book

Best part of the book: Esmerelda is 18 when her mother passes away. She is having a hard time with it and then she is kidnapped. She is transported to a whole different country where she learns who she really is. Enter Jarak....hello hottie! Jarak is actually Esmerelda's Guardian. There is a serious connection between them two and I love their interactions together. I think that they are both amazing characters. Also, I loved seeing Es coming into her own throughout the book.

Then Ian appears. I was a little unsure about Ian. He comes into the book very late. I wish he was in it more. Guess that is why there is a book 2.

I did love the action and the interactions with the characters.

Now so great about the book: Even though there was action in this book, there were some parts were I was just bored. There was too much filler and it was unneeded. Also, I wish Ian was in the book more. He came into the story very late and the "triangle" was there but it felt a bit rushed. On top of all that there is a lot of stories within this story and I had to read some parts again to make sure that I was understanding who-was-who and what their purposes were.

Nonetheless, I will read book 2!

Oh my goodness!! If you are looking for a book that holds soooo many secrets and witches, Vampires, Guardians with spirit wolf's (I know right!? that's new but so cool) and crossbreeds that are good and bad, people who you think are friends and out to help, you only to find they are out for themselves or out to help a crazy man to kill..... yea then you need to pick up Wolf Spell! I was a little confused at first keeping names and powers straight but Esmarelda is part of one huge lie that starts to unravel from the get go and the more you read the deeper you find her getting. As far as she knew in the beginning was that her mother had passed away and she had a funeral to attend after that BAM! All of a sudden she is kidnapped her name isn't what she thought it was these past 18 yrs but ist is actually Esmarelda and now she has powers and is supposed to save the world! Talk about slow down and take a deep breath so you don't pass out from your life crumbling around you! And then comes Jarak The hunk shes falling for.... and then Ian his brother who becomes her night in shining armour! ( Secretly I am routing for him) this book packs so much and effortlessly moves from one person to another persons point of view. I truely ccannot wait to read the next book I HAVE to see how this all plays out! happy reading everyone!

M.R. Polish has outdone herself with Wolf Spell, the first installment of a fantastic paranormal fantasy series. I loved it so much I can't wait to find out what happens next so hurry up and finish book two, Ms. Polish!
Wolf Spell is a creative, new twist on all things paranormal, witches, vampires and guardians. Guardians are new to the paranormal scene but the concept of them is absolutely brilliant. I don't want to give away spoilers so I'll just say they have something to do with wolves.
While this book is definitely PR it also action and adventure heavy in plot. I chewed off half of my fingernails while reading it, so yeah, the adrenline flows with this novel.
The characterization is beyond incredible in this series. I adore each character, especially the MC, Arabeth/Esmerelda. She gets dropped right smack dab in the middle of crazytown but manages to maintain her sanity. Then there is Jarak and Ian, both gorgeous, sweet and head over heels in love with Esmerelda (this chick is Team Ian, all the way). Every character is carefully placed in the plot with a special purpose. Even the secondary characters are crucial to the story.
If you liked The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare, The All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness, Silent Orchids by Morgan Wylie or The Soul Quest Trilogy by little ol' me, then this series is for you!
I gave Wolf Spell 5 stars!

I enjoyed this book. I loved the different take on the supernaturals. I really enjoyed that the guardians had a wolf spirit with them instead of turning into a wolf. That would be a really fantastic power to have to be able to draw upon a wolf at any moment.
The characters were intriguing. I already knew before the book went any further that the main girl was there daughter. That was not hard to figure out because of how the book started. The other aspects that came along I did not see.
I really do not like love triangles but in all honesty this wasn't really one of those love triangles so it didn't fall too much for me.
I do not like April no matter what. Something is off about her and I hope she grows up soon.
I am interested to see where this story goes and what ends up happening.
Overall I liked the characters and the different take on the supernatural characters. I did feel at times it may have dragged on a little, there was one scene I thought the book was going to end but kept going. I was happy it kept going but needs to also keep my attention which eventually it would get to a part I wanted to know more about the book.

Eighteen-year-old Esmerelda thinks she’s just a normal girl. At her mothers funeral she is kidnapped by a Warlock. Esmerelda is thrown into a world she has only read about in Fairy-Tales. Witches, Wolves, Guardians, Oh My! She is a very special witch with powers over all the elements. A very corrupt Warlock wants her powers to take over mankind and all with powers. She is not sure who she can trust, her mother and father are not who she thought they were neither are all those new friends.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!. I can't say enough about this book. It is Brillant, Awesome ,Fantastic. I could not put it down, every time I tried something new and exciting would happen! I stayed up very late to read this book only when I could hold my kindle anymore did I put it down. First thing in morning I was back reading till I finished. I so didn't want Wolf Spell to end! I can not wait till book 2 is out I will be first in line to order it!

5 STARS , WISH I COULD GIVE 10- 20-30 STARS!

This book was fast paced with a constant tension that was palpable. I enjoyed the flow of the book. It seemed that the plot seemed to almost peak and then at the end had soft crescendo. However, though the ending was not as amazing as I thought it should be, I wasn't disappointed. Because it still left me wanting to read more. I want to see what happens to this character. I want to see what becomes of the villain. I still want to see more.

The characters were developed quickly and the way they wove in and out of each other was particularly interesting. The way the view points changed and the fact that you could see through different eyes, made this book feel fresh with every chapter. It was also refreshing to have an opportunity to review a book that left sexual tension as just that...tension. Though there was a lack of naughty moments, the physical tension was still palpable. And since the characters well written, you felt each and every moment.

I give this book 4 stars. A very good read.

I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest literary review.

I decided that I needed to start a new book and this book won out on the choices. I am glad that it did. This book had me all kinds of intrigued. I couldn’t put this book down at all. Arabeth just lost one of the most important people in her life: her mom. While she is attending her funeral with her dad, she is kidnapped and flown to Spain. She is also told that she is a very powerful witch. Not only that, but it is her destiny to stop someone from creating cross bread creatures. There is a surprise when she gets to Spain. Someone that she though she lost.
I want to be able to give you a better synopsis than that, but that would ruin the story. This is the first book in the Wolf Trilogy, this book introduces you to Arabeth, and a whole slew of people that either want to help her or hurt her. This book is so action packed that you read through this book fairly quickly. And it isn’t a short book by any means. I am glad that I picked this book to read! You will too!!

My review of Wolf Spell by M.R. Polish. I received a ARC copy in exchange for an unbiased and honest review. Let me say for a debut book this was AMAZING. The author had me engaged from the cover to the end. I love the imagery she used in building her characters. I was able to picture each and everyone of them. You couldn't help but love Es and want ger to be able to end Nicolas madness before anyone else got hurt. Then Es finds out about her heritage and that alone could throw anyone over the edge. There are twists and turns around every corner once you think you know whet is going to happen BAMM another twist is thrown. Now that is not a bad thing I lived it. I would probably classify this as YA but an excellent read for all ages. I definitely want to read more in this series. Thank you for allowing me into your creative journey.

Well I was pleasantly surprised by the novel Wolf Spell by M.R. Polish. I was so impressed that I had to keep reminding myself that this is a debut novel. M.R. Polish has done such a wonderful job of drawing readers into the story and making you believe you are actually seeing the characters and the scenes before your eyes. The characters are absolutely wonderful and are written with such detail that it is hard to believe that they are not real live people. Wolf Spell is faced paced and has lots of twists and turns along the way. Just when I though I knew what was going to happen, another curve ball was thrown at me and I was left guessing again what was going to happen. If you want a great novel that will knock your socks off I recommend going and getting a copy of Wolf Spell as soon as possible.

WOW WOW WOW -- M.R. Polish has outdone herself with Wolf Spell. Wolf Spell is the first book of the Wolf Trilogy -- which is a fantastic paranormal fantasy series. While reading Wolf Spell, I found it very hard to put this book down!!!

Wolf Spell is a awesome book that includes all things paranormal, witches, vampires and guardians. The main character of the book (Esmerelda) is primarily the one who is telling the story. All the various characters of the book are carefully contributing to the plot with their own purposes. I don't write spoilers but once you start reading this book - I am sure that you will be just like I was - totally unable to put the book down at any time!!!

I received a complimentary copy of Wolf Spell in exchange for my honest review. All opinions shared are 100% my own.

Ehh

Okay as I've mentioned before the story is interesting but the style is just meh at best. And we'll sometimes I was just reading because of my mild curiosity about how it was going to go. Okay maybe if it was written differently is have liked it more maybe not who knows. I wish there had been more context it felt rushed and forced at times. How did she get so good so fast that learning curve was unreal. Want to know more about this war, and the characters we don't know much about any of them. And the going back and forth in the points of views well I don't think it really added to the story. The book was free on amazon. Wasn't really great in my opinion, not even the romance parts. Those parts felt so fake yea fake like they where happening to ppl other then the characters if that makes sense? Like an out of body experience. Anyway the book was meh for me.

How would you feel being kidnapped at your mother's funeral and then told that you have magical powers? For Esmeralda, this happened! She has no idea what is going on and is told about the powers she supposedly wields will awaken some dead witches. Throw in a hot bodyguard and his brother, what's a girl to do? Decisions, decisions.

Wolf Spell was such an entertaining read. I loved how easy it was to get sucked into this book and how badly I need to read book 2. I really enjoyed how M.R added another author in the mix as part of a scene. Wolf Spell is definitely original material with none others out there like it.

I have the feeling that this series will be one of my favorites to date.

Need book 2 please!

Wolf Spell is so freaking fantastic that I need book 2 now! Action packed and full of surprises, you will be left wanting to start the next chapter of this adventure.

Arabeth is thrown into a world of mythical creatures and finding out truths within the lies. She is kidnapped from her mother's funeral and thrown on a plane for reasons she isn't sure of. Throw in 2 hotties that Arabeth can't help but undress with her eyes and you've got yumminess! Let the craziness begin!

Wolf Spell is an intense, non stop rollercoaster of awesomeness that leaves you hanging at a good point BUT still...you're left hanging. SO on that note...I will patiently wait for M.R to finish Book 2 in the series. Ok..maybe not so patiently! Great job!

Let's be clear here, I didn't dislike the book, I just didn't enjoy it. Honestly, on the emotional scale, this registered as a zero, which would normally translate as an "Okay/Two stars" for me. The reason why this ended up being a one star and not a two star rating is because so much of this story felt like a an early draft. All the ideas are there, but the edges haven't been smoothed out. Examples of these would be pacing, stilted dialogue, contradictions, and quite a few moments when I had to question the characters' logic. There's definitely a good story here, but it just needs the right editor to take it to that next level.
