This book was short (more about that later) free and an MC book so I started reading as soon as it downloaded.
Now on the whole I did enjoy this book but...
Firstly it seriously needed editing it was littered with mistakes and I have to ask who the hell is 'Mark' anyway.
Now from the synopsis we know that Tallie returns to Crystal Springs to exact revenge on the MC she blames for the death of her brother.
Now my problem is she's attractive and intelligent, no apparently she is, she just hides it well, really well to the extent no one would ever suspect, anyway her entire plan for bringing the MC to its knees in revenge consists of her moving back to Crystal Springs and wearing very few clothes, that's it in a nutshell, the extend of her plan.
To make matters worse luck in the form of Spider saves her from...well you'll have to read the book but basically she's an idiot.
Despite Tallies dubious intellect this isn't a bad book although personally I would have liked more character development and interaction before they fell in love.
I said this was a short book, it's 124 pages but it felt so much shorter, I read this on my kindle and the type was huge, even using my smallest print selection the type was at least four times larger than than I'd normally use.

OK so I have a habit of comparing MC dudes to my absolute faves...Tack from Motorcycle Man and Horse from Reaper's Property, most fall short. While I can't say that Spider was all the way up there, I didn't hate him.

The story, while a little too short for me, was decent and had promise. I would have liked to see the characters developed a little more before they fell in love. I really do not like insta-love and don't find it even remotely plausible in an MC story.

A couple of misspellings and one obvious continuity error, on the whole not bad.

Questions

I was enjoying this book in brill Peart three where there were a few questions raised. The biggest one that no one knew he was still alive and then it contradicted itself by saying it that someone did know. It felt like a contanunty error to me but otherw it sectgis is a real good read

Three books in one, good stories. Twists and turns you never expected. Needs a little light editing, but the story was consistent and the characters were developed. I was shocked!

Talie starts working in a club belonging to the Fugitives MC to get revenge for her brother's death. She blames the Motorcycle Club he was a member of for his demise st a very young age. Although it is bot logical it is relatable a grief can cause family members of the deceased to seek retribution as a way of dealing with loss. What doesn't make sense is she went so far as to infiltrate the club but with no actual plan of revenge.
Anyway it was readable and I like that it was short and to the point.

Really fast read, but enjoyable - would have like to see Tallie get a little more explosive in the face of Candy!! Kinda dirty to start :), but quickly evens out.

Tallie's plan sounded good, but as she progressed, she realized the mistakes in plan, and Spider was really a good guy - who had his demons; they really helped each other come out a happier side.

I liked this book, I found it truthful while it held a huge amount of bad luck I thought that it was real in the lengths that people go to sometimes to exact revenge and the things that happen to change the lives of those involved.

My main problems with this book were the inconsistencies, the fact that Tallie wasn't all that hell bent on revenge to begin with, and that Tallie was TSTL.

The inconsistencies were pretty much along the lines of information switching around to suit the plot. For example Tallie's boss Jan, warned her to stay away from ONLY Dime Bag at the beginning but then when a guy named Chig starts feelings her up she "remembers" Jan warning her about Dime Bag AND Chig. I didn't like shit like this happening. It made things confusing and pulled me right out of the story. Not to mention it shows how very little effort was put into the story itself. I don't care if its only a 100 pages or so, at least PRETEND like you put forth some work.

The fact that Tallie didn't seem to WANT to get revenge on the Fugitives MC undermined the whole fucking plot of this book. She was reluctant from the get go, had NO FUCKING PLAN AT ALL when it came to exacting her revenge, and there were no malicious feelings or hatred being shown from her. So what was the fucking point of her even being there? Going through the stuff she went through??? I kept wondering why in the hell she was putting herself in this position when she honestly didn't seem to care.

And the thing i couldn't over look was the fact that Tallie was fucking TSTL. She would constantly put herself into positions where she'd be violated and put into danger, not cause she was trying to prove or accomplish something but because she was fucking STUPID AS SHIT. If a guy says he wants you and drags you into a back room, you don't just go along like a fucking dumbass "hoping" that someone would stop him. Why did she even fucking approach him in the first place when he's so obviously drunk, bigger, and meaner???? He didn't actively seek her out and happen to be passing her and grab at her, she willingly went him because??? I mean, that man was the hero's FATHER for Christ's sake and she let him finger her because?? for what reason? None. She was literally put into that situation cause she was dumb and clueless and it pissed me off.

And let me make things clear: i'm not victim blaming her. There's been millions of times when women felt pressured or coerced into doing something she didn't want to or going somewhere she didn't want to go... but the author, this character, didn't show that. It didn't have the pressure or that fear there, not internally or even in her actions. She wasn't naively walking into situations that turned bad; she saw these situations, that these people, were bad news and she'd just waltz right into the middle of it and went "oh no, how could i ever know this would happen? what ever will i do? who knew that approaching a drunk man known for being handsy and following him into a back room would end badly for me?" It was like knowing that your neighbor is a registered sex offender and going into his house for some tea because he asked nicely. I don't know how more obvious it could get.

(on a sidenote: the sex scenes were quick and novice in execution. I could see the potential in them but they weren't up there with the better eroticas I've read :/)

Overall, this book was pretty bad. I don't really want to continue on with this series but the pdf i got from a friend included books 1-3 so im begrudgingly going to finish them. Fml.

Tallie has had a tough life growing up, for one her father was a busy working father to support his sick wife and two children, which left Kyle to take care of everything around the house, feeding his sister, cooking and his mother that was bed ridden. One day Tallie's brother left them and had a new family with the Fugitives, she felt left behind and unloved by this, then one day the news came of her brothers passing, after that things were never the same, so ten years later she comes back to get her revenge of the Fugitives for her loss, but the last thing she expects is to meet and fall in love with her brothers best friend.

What I enjoyed most about Fugitives MC is watching a Club that is family, most of them that is their family, Seeing Tallie see that for herself as to why her brother left so he had a place that he wasnt in charge of all the household duties and raising his sister, but a brother to a group of Men. Watching Spider fall in love with his best friends sister, and for him to see so much similarities between his old best friend and his old lady. The loyalty that there is within the group, added with a trouble maker within the group, With lots of crazy moments added into the mix.

This story was so good, there were some shocking moments that I never seen coming but it added so much to the story that they did happen. If you like stories with Bad-ass biker guys with a brother hood that shares everything, a Woman who originally shows up to get revenge but has a different outcome, a Man who falls in love with a Woman who he doesnt know much about, with some illegal activities with selling to Vipers that there is sometimes so bad blood between the two Clubs, A love story and happy ending. If you enjoy stories like this, then Fugitives MC is a must!!

I'm torn with how to rate this one, because there are some pieces of the book that are really good, but there are also parts of the story that are kind of weak.

It's a decent story line (albeit one that has a bit of 'rinse and repeat' feel to it. Girl's brother is part of motorcycle gang, brother gets killed, girls sets out to seek revenge on MC for dead brother).

The first few chapters are laden with superfluous details that make the writing a bit choppy and clunky. It could be streamlined and the story would flow a lot better. (ie I don't need to know every single step that Tallie takes in putting on her makeup and getting dressed). The MC's relationship with Spider feels a bit "insta romance" not that in and of itself is a flaw, it just isnt really all that believable. They have one or two interactions together and suddenly their pledging their undying love to each other. The "fight" between them after the big reveal falls a bit flat as well.

There are a few issues with continuity - things happen in one scene that aren't carried forward or the characters are called by the wrong names (Conrad "Spider" Daniels is called Mark at one point in the story??)

There is a lot of front loading in this story- but it's wrapped up and concluded in less than five pages at the end, making it feel a bit off balance.

I was given this book as an ARC for exchange of an honest review.

I felt a lot like I was reading an episode of SOA (Son's of Anarchy) and could actually imagine the SOA characters as the MC members.

This was really quite a good book, although instead of it being written in 3 parts I would have loved to see it as a 3 book series instead giving the author more time to concentrate on each individual story. The character interaction was fabulous although in the 2nd and 3rd parts there were a lot of loose ends that really kinda leave you wondering why they are actually there, ex. Rube and Bear in the second story...you never actually know what it is that Bear is holding over Rube's head and so really doesn't make much sense being there. The romance scenes are quite intense at times and come quite often so if that isn't your kind of thing I would not suggest reading this book!! All in all the story had pretty good flow, fast paced where it needed to be for the most part and slower where it needed to be as well. I particularly love that Gonzo's sister comes back and falls in love with his best friend, then likewise for himself to come back and not only get his MC family back but his sister back as well. It's definitely a story of pay back and redemption. Good story and I'm looking forward to reading another of her books.

I was given this ARC for an honest review.

This book was really three novellas in one.
First was Spider and Tallie (Tina). Their romance seemed to happened rather quickly, less than two days they were in love. Spider is devoted to his club. Tallie wants revenge on the club because she believes they took her family away from her. When she actually meets the members of the club she changes her mind about revenge. The action and romance happen rather quickly in Part 1.

Part two is Gonzo (Kyle) and Brenna's story. Their romance takes a week before they realize they can't live without each other. I wasn't sure I wanted to read this part as I thought the ending was spelled out in Part 1 but I was wrong.

Part three brings everyone together. Some questions are answered, others are left hanging.

While I enjoyed the book I think some of the stories were rushed. I also think a big part of the book - the "rat" was left unanswered. Why wasn't he found out and what will happen if they do. This character played a big part in the story but was never really developed to an ending. I am assuming that some of the issues may be answered in a follow-up book.

I previously read one of her MC series and really enjoyed it, so I gave this one a go. It wasn't a bad book, but it felt really rushed. There was little character development and story development. It was one of those they fall in love but you're not exactly sure how since it seems they just met and barely know anything about each other. If you're looking for a quick steamy read this would definitely work for you, if you're looking for a good story to go with the heat I wouldn't choose this one.

Almost perfect

I didn't realize that this was kind of a two-part book because I love her books and didn't bother with reading the description. That being said, it was a good book. I have to assume that this wasn't meant to be a standalone and that the Fugitives was supposed to be a series because there was a huge part of the story that was completely left out. The whole reason why the story is split. If there were going to be no more Fugitive stories told, there should have been an extended epilogue or something exposing the betrayal of Jessie/Dime. It just doesn't feel over. Not that the rival MC played a huge role, but there was never any type of resolution there and at one point, it felt like the J/D storyline would bleed into that. Anyway, I love all of her books and this is the only time I've ever had an issue. Still 5 stars! If someone is talented enough to tell a story that keeps you interested and reading all they way to the end, they deserve all the stars! Please, remember this and support everyone who provides the joy and escapism that is the written word! Have a safe and happy day!!!

Honestly, i like the 3 parts, what I didn't like was not knowing whose thoughts they were at any one time, too much jumping from one person to the next.

The fatal flaw for me was that part one says Tallie's mother got worse after Gonzo was announced dead, part two, when talking to Brenna about his life, before disappearing, he said his mothers illness had worsened and she died, this was while everything was going down but he hadn't disappeared yet, then part three made it again seem that part one was the true story. I was determined to finish this story, I kept thinking the storyline would improve, but it ended with a lot of things that didn't make sense.

It has the ingredients to be a great story, but I have to be honest. I felt like a lot of part 2 was copied from part one, there was too much similarity in the scenes between 4 very different characters.

I don't like writing bad reviews, and this storyline had a lot of potential, just too much going on, and too many typos, words were completely missed or replaced with something else.

I'm a fan of MC books and this one was okay. It's a free read on Amazon so I took a chance and got it.

Tallie's older brother Kyle was killed ten years earlier when she was only a child. She's older now and she intends on getting revenge. Pretending to be someone else, she gets a job as a waitress at the bar the Fugitives MC run. She didn't plan on falling in love with Spider, her brothers best friend. As their feelings grow, she feels guilty for keeping the secret from him. When a rival MC club causes problems, she can no longer keep her identity a secret. It may cost her Spider once he learns the truth.

This is an extremely fast read and there's an instant attraction between Spider and Tallie. It has an ending, but I believe their story continues in the next book Reckoning.

This is pretty simple, Spider and Tina (changed name) fall in love. Tina's brother Gonzo worked with this gang of bikers, she comes to take revenge but realizes that she's falling in love with the leader of the gang. That his business is drugs and prostitution was not a problem at all. This book has so much potential to be a great book if all three stories were combined, two if the depth of revenge and the attraction played out longer and three if there was some remorse over what the characters are/were doing. Spider is a great guy, his real name is Conrad, he could have turned into a good guy, but he's doing bad things. I was so invested in Gonzo in the beginning, I almost thought this story was about him. Then he gets killed. Its a great premise and had the oomphf factor. The inner workings of the gangland were well done.

This book was free on Amazon and it was a biker story with a cool synopsis...so of course I wanted to read it. For the most part it was ok...very typical of many short books that I have read with a similar storyline (revenge for a death, mean-girl catfight, kidnapping and almost inta-love) and it would have been better if it had been longer, so more time could have been used to develop characters a bit more. But it was a fast-paced, sexy and not too violent story about a girl who thinks she knows what she wants (revenge for her brother's death) and ends up getting more than she baragained for when she comes face to face with a man from her past.

*** 3 *** "looking to the future and not the past" stars

I received this book for free to give my True and Honest Review
And I recommend it

Book 1
This is my first book I've read of Daphne Loveling and of yes she pulled me in wanting me to get to know all about Kyle (Gonzo) & his little sister Tallie Hendricks, their similarities between their age difference and the way my eldest had to do in some ways was just the way he had to deal with my youngest and the way my MS became worse after his birth.
Anyways enough about that, but I was full of emotion about how Kyle was feeling and how he had to get away especially after his best mate Spider (Conrad) Daniels, who's dad was the President of The Fugitives MC saw the difference between their lives and having some freedom, though what broke my heart

While I did really enjoy the book, it did just put you through the ringer. First you have Tallie hating the fugitives for destroying her family so she poses as "Tina" to take them down. She never quite figured out how to do that though. Good thing because in walks Spider. Her dead brothers best friend. Instant love and moving in. Then you flash back to the brother. And the back story on him and the love of this life. Then you come to find out he's not dead for the last decade. Wait what?! Nope. Faked it. So then they all need to come together and get over just feelings. Over all I did quit enjoy this book and would recommend it. Ends very sweet and every thing is as it should be. (Even if some questions we're never answered)

Good story. Yet.... so you decide.

Good story but despite the three parts it is horribly unfinished with regards to the club.
Given it has been years since published. There are so many unanswered and unaddressed issuers.
The rat of the club still exists yet no one is concerned since there seems to be no threat. Does not make sense.
I liked the concept the different views and the years gone back to define each persons POV.
So many missed opportunities to reveal the rat. The daughter of the mayor could uncover documentation given and is the only child of the mayor and her mom passed when she had her daughter.
Liked it. Surprised there is no story for Other members for the opportunity to root out the rat.

The book was a little bit too short and it had some editing issues. If the book was longer the relationship between Tallie and Spider and the plot could have more time to develop. Instead we get Tallie who pretty much forgets her plans for revenge the minute she meets Spider and instantly falls in love with him the minute they have sex. The point in the story where Tallie get kidnapped should have been more developed and maybe should have taken more than a couple pages in the book. To me it was really boring. Also they part where Tallie tells Spider the truth about who she is was boring and Spider forgave her too quickly.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review....

This is the second book I've read by this author. It is by far better than the first one I read. I was a little confused as to why she put this book in the order she did; however, once I got to the end I understood it a little better. Lots of conflict throughout! I figured out part of the story before the author actually filled the reader in. I laughed and I cried. This is a very touching story of two families. The plot was great; however, it could have flowed a little smoother. There could have been a little more investigating on one of the characters. That portion of the story had potential with a little more expansion.

Gifted an ARC for an honest review......
This book actually felt like a 3 part series, first Spider and Tallie's story, then Gonzo and Brenna's. The last part was kinda scattered and left a lot of loose ends that I felt weren't answered. The book had a ton of potential, it just wasn't well developed or maybe should have been separate books in a MC series. The ending was rather abrupt, the characters weren't very well developed, it was hard for me to sympathize with them. I would still give the author Daphne Loveling another chance and hope for better results.

3.5*

I'm going back and reading this authors writings. This is not at the level of her MC series books but I can see it getting there.
It's an interesting arrangement, 3 parts - 2 separate couples then a "so this is what really happened" wrap up and where we are now. flow-wise, I think parts 1&2 should swap, but that's personal preference.
The story is solid, the writing good, editing good. The sexy times were spicy!
Sometimes I found it hard to follow and repetitive. The emotional connections seemed lacking, I'm not really sure how sexy fun times became LOVE.

Tallie is a young girl when her mother gets ill her dad works a lot and her brother, Kyle, is left to take care of her and her mom a lot of the time! Once Kyle gets old enough he choses a different path in life and leaves his family! Tallie never understood why until she got older! Spider was Kyles best friend and when Tallie returns to her hometown for revenge, what happens is far from it! But in the process she learns things that she needed to understand about her brothers life! Great read.
