Project 2025 seems to be primarily about returning the U.S. to an earlier time. So it’s easy to think that conditions will get better for white people. After all, white people were in charge back in that earlier time.

This story is another take on highlights of what a white woman’s daily life might look like the year after Project 2025 has taken effect. She is an ordinary woman of a certain age, single, with grown children and grandchildren who live in different states. She lives in a city. She is diagnosed with breast cancer and spends a year being treated for it. She doesn’t have any insider knowledge, just what she can observe.
