When I post my review for this book, it also appears on another book's page. Although the ASIN is different, "Ripple" and "30K", both by Chuck Grossart, seem to be linked somehow. If I change one review, the other changes, too.
Whenever this problem is resolved, I will be happy to post my reviews again... in their proper places.
Merged review:
“Ripple” by Chuck Grossart is another grand and twisted bit of flash fiction, about a young boy with an innocuous name: Jimmy. Jimmy didn’t do well with dentists. But he had a cavity, so his mother dutifully took him to one. Then to another. And another. And finally, to a fourth dentist.
Jimmy has more than just a cavity. He has a power with which he can make things happen just by thinking about his desired outcome. Did I mention he doesn’t like dentists?
Chuck Grossart is a name you might want to keep track of. I know I will be doing just that. He has got short horror stories down pat. “Ripple” doesn’t really have a twist at the end. Instead, it has a perfectly gory finish. That’s why I like it!
Ripple, A Flash Fiction Story by Chuck Grossart I received a free kindle copy of Ripple, A Flash Fiction Story by Chuck Grossart in an Amazon promotion.I gave this very short story three stars. Jimmy Hayes was different, in unimaginable ways. He did not like pain, yet had to go to the dentist. His mother was worried. This story ended with a bang.
