James R. Reeves is a mineral exploration geologist. He lives in Spokane, Washington, with his wife, Leeann, a public school teacher and part-time college instructor, and his two children: son Tom Brian and daughter Shannon. Jim and Leeann are natives of West Texas. Jim began writing fiction in grade school, but Mekong! is his first effort at a novel.
