Who knew that helping a child out in need, would change an entire life. Nefertari was grinding trying to make a way for herself, as a home health aide. After getting off work one night amid a blizzard, she finds a small child in the street and jumps to rescue him. Upon returning the child home, the child’s father is appreciative but has an odd way of showing it.
Vince is a man of means, has everything that money can buy, however, he is miserable. He loves his son with his whole heart, but his heart breaks for him, due to his mother’s abandonment. When this caring woman walks into his home with his child, he is intrigued and believes she is the key to making things better in their lives.
For Vince to be such a powerful and vocal man in business, I wondered why he had such a hard time communicating with Nefertari. Whenever she asked why, and how long she would be there, he would only offer vague answers or none. Nefertari was fighting Vince tooth and nail, then she just fell in line. 👀
This author never misses or disappoints. Immediately you are pulled into the story and it reads effortlessly. The flow was very good. These two characters Nefertari and Vince were meant to be even if the situation that led them together was a bit crazy lol. I really enjoyed this book.
It’s soooo good to get a new project from A. Gavin and this was worth the wait! Who doesn’t love a good kidnapping?! A lil hostage situation?! I love the way Vince and Tari’s paths crossed and they became the prescribed balms that each others hearts needed to heal. Loved the cameos from my boy Que and Rhy! I miss the crew!
Captivating story..... another great drama filled love story! Fiesty and humorous! Welcomed distraction from the ho-hum summer re-runs. For the grown and sexy only!
This was definitely an interesting story. I love the connection between Nefertari and Michael, however, I dunno if it would help me docile with the bullsh*t that Vincent was on!
I loved it from beginning to end, and it even had me a bit emotional not going to lie. It had everything i needed, laughs, feelings and just overall well written. Bravo!
