He rejected her, but I'll make sure no one touches her.
Kira’s life shattered when her mate rejected her—at their wedding, no less. Humiliated, heartbroken, and determined to reclaim her dignity, she enters The Reject Project, a brutal reality show where rejected mates battle for a second chance at love. It’s dangerous, filled with broken hearts, desperate mates, and cutthroat competition.
The look on her face when she realized I was one of the eligible bachelors? Priceless.
As her brother’s best friend, I’ve protected Kira from the shadows for years. She thinks I’m just here to make things worse, but she has no idea how far I’ll go to keep her safe. My wolf is ready to claim her, but this game has more enemies than either of us anticipated.
When the cameras stop rolling and the claws come out, I’ll prove that I’m the one who was always meant to stand by her side. Even if she still hates me.
This time, I’m playing for keeps—and I’m not letting her go.
The Last Alpha Standing combines all four thrilling books in the Game of Wolves series, where a rejected shifter fights to reclaim her honor—and the fierce alpha who would risk everything, even entering a deadly competition, to protect her. Packed with danger, desire, and heart-stopping twists, this collection is an unmissable journey of love, survival, and second chances.
5 stars - original story. I have read many paranormal/shifter books and this storyline of a cross between survivor and The Bachelor is fresh and fun.
4 stars- characters are likable and generally well developed.
3 stars - starting the first book and series with a super steamy scene. It just seemed unnecessary especially so early in the book because we didn’t even know the characters yet.
The story is written well and contains a great balance of intrigue, action, drama, and love interest.
HOWEVER...
Kira is an insufferable FMC. She is a heinous twat to Wyatt throughout the book. She's harsh and pretty and it seems completely unwarranted. Wyatt will banter back, but it's not the same because he isn't trying to be cruel—unlike Kira. Since near the end of book 1 we get a glimpse of the day Kira decided to lock her wolf away that the drip feed of this will continue, but I'm just not interested. Especially reading the blurb for book 3 that has Wyatt saying Kira doubts their love because others disapprove. Kira needs to GTFO and walk straight into oncoming traffic. WTF else should he do to prove he's worth it? Save your life? ✅ Save your life multiple times? ✅ put up with you cruel, demeaning snipes and brushing off any compliments you give? ✅✅
I genuinely hate damn near everything about this FMC and have zero desire to continue the series.
Props to Zoe for character I'd love to have as a BFFL. Chick is awesome and even lays out hard truths Kira is too dense and caught up with herself to notice and doesn't sugar coat it either. Too bad Kira is too dense to give the important bits much brain power.
So, I did end up reading the entire series and deeply regret that decision. Kira stays insufferable and idiotically stubborn until the very end. Speaking of the end, the war has broke out yet pack leaders are still spouting their bullshit? No. And the way Kira's parents treat Wyatt was horrendous.
This is mostly a shifter fantasy story, with fated and chosen mates as a foundation. The betrayals here involve more than an alphahole, and run throughout the entire culture. Kira and Wyatt along with their many packages go through a very Tolkein-like series of battles on a reality TV show to finally gain their HEA. Be warned, the level of violence, bloodshed and abuse is not for the faint of heart. The book is long at over 1300 pages, and the show scenes began to bore me as they become increasingly bizarre, but overall it's got great character development and managed to wrap up most loose strings.
⭐️⭐️ Finished book 1. Just. Started book 2… I just can’t. End of the line for me.
In most shifter worlds I’m happy for pretty much anything to happen and I go along with it but I just cannot believe that anyone in this fictional world would watch a tv show, for 30+ seasons where multiple people die with the aim that they fall in love… and apparently people watching this show are cool with people they’ve supported and cheered on dropping dead and being replaced at the drop of a hat?!
I don’t watch ANY reality TV so maybe this is a me problem, but I just can’t get behind the plot.
I downloaded this on a whim after checking it out a few times. I was pleasantly surprised! Kinda had a Hunger Games appeal to it, but it was really good. Would have benefited having a beta reader or editor since there were quite a few grammar mistakes. I was really happy this was the complete series also. It was a great read, lived the characters. I even liked Von even though I wanted to punch him. I appreciated his "flare."
I loved this whole series. The concept of wolves finding their mate through a life and death struggle on a dangerous island was intriguing. I loved all the main characters that were well developed throughout the 3 books. Kira and Wyatt's actions and emotions were portrayed in dual narratives, which enabled the reader to experience what was happening from both main characters perspectives, adding depth to the storyline.
It is one of the most intense books I have read in a long time. This book really draws you into the drama and relationships of the characters. It is not for the feint of heart, a lot of very gruesome stuff, and certainly very steamy sex portrayed throughout the whole book, especially when it comes to the main characters. But it is a great book to read, and the moral of the story is very important. I would certainly read it again.
I did enjoy this series. I feel that the characters are well written and developed, the storyline is engaging and has good plot twists, and I liked having all of the books in the series in a bundle. The only thing I didn't like is that I purchased the audiobook and although of the narrators were amazing, the audiobook purchase is misleading and it is not all 4 books. Besides that, overall, good series.
Love this series. I've laughed and bit my nails and had many late nights staying up reading this book. But I love it. You could seriously do spin offs with some of these other characters in here and I would DEFINITELY read them all. Great writing and story line. Again I say please do some spin offs on some of these other characters... maybe all of them in a book collection. Just send me the updates lol because I want to read them.
I really enjoyed this one. I enjoyed the reality show concept, and the slowly unfurling enemies to lovers to rivals to friends to lovers romance. I know a lot of the reviews said there were some inconsistencies and I did find that but i don’t feel like it overshadowed the story. Was enough mystery, action and steamy times to keep me interested. Thanks!
I kept skirting around this series due to the perceived hunger games aspect as I am not a fan of reality shows but gave it a chance due to another review. I absolutely ended up loving it. Sucked me in almost from the beginning. May be one of the best series I have read. Team Kyatt all the way.
I enjoyed the heck out of this series. The bachelorette meets a deadly game of survival on an isolated island filled with the worst of the worst creatures. Kira and Wyatt’s story is great !! She is rejected at her mating ceremony and auditions for the Rejected Mates Game. She is cast as the female lead and Wyatt pulls a lot of stings to be a contestant. He is her brothers best friend and has spent years looking out for her and keeping her safe even when she hates it. Absolutely loved !
This series is jam-packed with everything! There's everything from humor to horror. It's suspenseful and also romantic. The writing and character development are so well done. I applaud these authors. Seriously, it's a great series that I would recommend again and again.
I wouldnt say this book is bad at all, Too me it felt a little dragged out and way to long personally. Im glad how the story ended from what I read( skipped a lot) but the authors have nice writing techniques.
Not gonna bash a book and give it poor ratings just cause it wasn’t for me at some point!
Eventually, a book about shifters with an incredible story 🥰 I found the series well written and the storyline is fantastic. I couldn’t help but root for the characters in the book and couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. I was hooked. I cannot recommend this high enough. Read it! You will not be disappointed I guarantee it.
This was probably one of the better werewolf/shifter series that I have read. the story made sense, the timeline and the plot moved at a exciting but not too rushed pace and the lead characters were very likable. I particularly liked that the author did dual point of view so you got to see what was happening on both sides. Overall, five stars
I usually read werewolf books of different kinds, thrillers and like some adventure. This is werewolf, mixed with hunger games, mixed with maze runner and various other things. It is a long series but very much worth it! I loved the characters and how they developed too. A must read really!! My first book written by these authors!
The Last Alpha Standing: The Game of Wolves complete series bundle is filled with amazing characters. Each book is filled with intensity and edge of your seat moments. The heroes of the series are some of the best written characters I've read in a long time. Every character will have you reading paragraph after paragraph wanting more.
So glad to have found this author. Now three series into her books I have lost so many hours of sleep just to see what happens next. Definitely reading more!
I really enjoyed this collection. I love shifters and mates so this was right up my alley. I didn’t see a few of the twists coming and so I was on the edge of my seat. I’m happy everyone got their happy ending and what they deserved.

This series was exhilarating and absolutely full of action, heartbreak, and love. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and there were so many twists and turns that it hard to stop reading.
I have read many paranormal romance novels and enjoyed this series. Written well with engaging secondary characters. I am an Amazon Book Prime member so I am "recommended" free books to read and this is one I wouldn't mind owning and rereading.
This series was excellent! I couldn’t put the books down ! Lots of adventures, lots of intrigue ,lots of engaging characters , lots of love and best yet a happy ending. What more could a reader ask for ?
I had to buy this book because i loved it so much, I laughed, cried, yelled at it,rolled my eyes a couple times... Great story and characters. Love love love this!!!!
I really enjoyed this series. It had a great storyline it really kept your attention page after page. With all the creatures and challenges. It really kept you rooting for these poor contestants playing for there lives.
