Zen/Saeko being cute saved this manga somewhat for me. I did not like the Landlord character or his relationship with Shimana. All I could see was an adult man dating a teenage girl and for some reason no one had a problem with it. Their marriage happened too fast and it still looked like an adult with a high school kid.

There was no chemistry between the main pair, some characters were unnecessary and tacked on, and the plot felt like it was on fast forward. It was too over the top for my tastes and I ended up skimming through some pages just to hurry up and be done with it.

Boo 😒

I hate how the story progressed and eventually ended. Shimana and the landlord’s relationship was weird and didn’t develop. It was sort of insta-love that didn’t turn into real love even volumes later. The fact that they got married didn’t make sense to me. Plus no one cared that a 22 year old was dating a 16 year old smh.

This series is definitely one of my favorite and one I will read over and over again. The plot is not original at all for a shojo, it’s pretty typical to be honest.

My enjoyment comes first from the art style. It’s not a surprise anymore that I’m a big fan of Ichigo Takano’s art, that’s why it becomes more difficult for me to like other shojo’s manga because I find the art style weak compare to hers. Second is the characters, I became attached to all the characters, especially Taiyou because of what he is preaching: Have a dream and follow it. This theme seems to be recurrent throughout Takano’s mangas (i.e. Become You).

I kept reading, hoping someone would come to their senses. But in the end, a 22-year-old man and a 15 or 16-year-old teenager fell in love and wound up getting married straight after her high school days. And I’m just... I read all 10 volumes hoping for some kind of deeper analysis of why this wasn’t right. And Zen got me through, but ohmigosh the main love story was indescribably bad. And I often stopped while reading and looked at the page where Taiga looked like a man in his 30s and Shimana looked like a child... and nope.

So yeah. The art for this series? Great? Zen and Miura? Here for them. Do I kind of regret reading this series? 95% regret.

Wow I finally finished this series and the ending annoyed me so much.

This adult man just followed her around school in a school uniform pretending to be a high schooler for a day. And they really just got married...?? Like Shimana had no motivations except wanting romance and her literal whole being revolved around being with the landlord. She goes to college to be with him, she's willing to give everything up for him to go to school. Like wanting a romance and a happy ending and to get married is fine. But she literally had nothing else for herself.

I'm happy for Zen and the girl (I already forgot her name because she was literally just thrown in to give Zen a new love interest). I would've preferred a series about them tbh because they were cute. I don't even want to talk about Asahi and his crush/half sister. I think Asahi's plot line would've been interesting if it got more development, but it's so glossed over i don't get what the point was.

This series was just not good imo. Which is extremely disappointing because I've liked Takano's other books and this was just... yikes.

I just... I have so many complaints. I’m so confused. What weird part of Japan is this set in? Do people not have physical relationships there? I mean, I 100% acknowledge that this book is for teenagers, but even teens understand that committed couples should call each other by their first names and at least kiss a few times. I DON’T GET IT!

*sigh* The series was cute, but I feel super let down after reading the final volume.

This is the last volume of the Dreamin' Sun series. I really enjoyed reading this series. I enjoyed watching the characters and their relationships grow. Zen is definitely my favourite character of them all. He's just so adorable, strong and kind.

Ichigo Takano really has a knack for creating characters. I loved Orange which is my favourite manga and there the relationships between everyone is fantastic.

I definitely will read more by this author.

Finally I cute and fluffy ending for everyone. 4/5 for the whole series. Shimana annoyed me in the first volume but as the series progressed her character grew and become a cute and enjoyable character

Well, the wedding was cute, but this series got way too repetitive. You could cut two of the later volumes out and not miss anything in the story.

Zen was my favorite character, but, throughout the series, he really needed to take a hint and keep his feelings to himself. I like how mangaka showed his feelings didn't change overnight. If it is that easy to love someone that quickly, did you really love the other person?

Me llevo muchísimos recuerdos, risas, sonrojos, fangirleos y lagrimas.
Los voy a extrañar a todos! ♥

In the first volume, Taiga told Shimana that you hold a dream. Then in the final volume, they achieve their dream. This manga taught me the importance of never giving up and having a dream.

It was a weird series and yet it still made me laugh and have a good time. This volume was cute and I’m glad we got to see everyone be happy.

I love these characters and wish there had been a few more volumes to see some relationships and friendships grow more. However, I don't think I was ever fully on board with the main relationship—if it had been more flushed out I probably would've liked it.

But I do hope they’ll turn into an anime one day :)

I'm conflicted about the ending for the main character and the romance, but some of the side character endings were much more fulfilling to the point of almost being a relief. I reread this volume of the series at least once a year for the feels.

Ugh this was just not it. So this series started off so good but then went downhill after the first 3 volumes. It had romances between adults and minors and even lowkey incest! That was not what I signed up for when I started this. I continued because I thought, "surely they aren't going down thus path?" But they did. And the incest thing is a spoiler but vaguely . This series was a waste of time.

The main couple isn't even cute. One of them is obsessed with the other and the other is so cold 95% of the time. I didn't believe in their romance at all. Shimana was ridiculous because she "falls in love" so fast and there is never any reason for it.

There were so many side characters and I feel like we randomly got their backstories when it didn't even matter. I did love Miura and Shiho's backstory and honestly I wish their story is what this manga was about. Though it was unnecessary to the plot.

Zen unexpectedly became my favorite character of this series and I am so happy for him by the end when he finds the sweetest girl who loves him. It's what my king deserves.

Honestly don't waste your time with Dreamin' Sun. It starts out great but quickly goes downhill. Don't torture yourself if you don't have to.

Questo manga va benissimo per i sostenitori dell'astinenza sessuale prima del matrimonio... E non è un complimento!

Se vi dico che alla fine Shimana e il padrone di casa si sposano non è uno spoiler, vero? Dopotutto siamo in uno shojo manga...

Sigh!

Va beh, passiamo oltre.

4 stars for the series, for sure. I really enjoyed it and I think I just had expected more things to be drawn out in the last book but I appreciated the fact that the author tried to wrap things up and still move the story so it didn't feel rushed. I think I just really enjoyed this weird group of people and maybe wanted just a little bit more.

Cute, silly, funny and ridiculous. I loved it.

This again was very cute, but I can't help it: I was a bit disappointed! I LOVED the other volumes and the story itself, but the ending felt a bit rushed and I didn't feel that many emotions in the end. All in all it was a great series though.

Very, very cute ending. I really enjoyed this manga. The pacing was weird at first, but midway through it got really good. With it being 10 volumes, it’s an easy read and really enjoyable with great characters and atypical romance.
