Zatch

Crimson hair and pale green eyes haunt my dreams every night. I loathe this woman with every fiber of my soul, even if I have no idea who she is. So when I discover her limp body on the brink of death, my only option is to face the ghost of my forgotten past.

Amy

Darkness devours my soul little by little. He snuffed any light I had left, leaving me a hollow shell tormented by nightmares. He is the monster of my story, yet I’m drawn to him nonetheless. I find myself at his mercy… again. Will he save me? Or will he destroy whatever’s left of me? Either way, I’m not going down without a fight.

Lunar Nightmare is a dark fantasy romance novel intended for audiences 18+

YOUR MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS!!! Know your triggers. Triggers are: attempted forced abortion (mentioned), attempted suicide, assault, blood/knife play, burning/branding, captivity, death, depression, explicit language, flesh eating, forced breeding, forced orgasm, graphic violence and gore, mental, physical and psychological torture, r&pe (on page), sexually explicit scenes, and Sodomy.

This book is a dark fantasy with content that is not for everyone and can be triggering for some readers. There are scenes that are mentioned and depicted that happens to Amy that will trigger some people meaning this book is not for all readers. KNOW YOUR TRIGGERS!!!!

I will say that while this book is really very tense I did enjoy it. I actually think that it was because of the tension, angst and the strength of the emotions from the FMC and MC. The fire, willpower, and strength the you see from Amy our FMC was inspiring. You see her pushing through things that would crumble most people.

And Zatch our MC, he has some serious, and I mean SERIOUS grovelling to do. And he does grovel. But, he does it in his own way. And it does work for him.

Zatch and Amy though were just made for each other and Lunar Nightmare shows that in the best ways possible. It was inspiring how they grew together, changed, and became the people they needed to be and they became the best versions of themselves. More than that though they find themselves for themselves, not for the other.

And then there is the jump scare that is hidden within the pages of this book. I'm not going to tell you where it is located, or what happens. I'll just tell you that it's there. I want you to have the same jump that we who read it first got.

I have to say that if you enjoy a great female lead who is strong with a bit of darkness, then you HAVE got to read this book and this series. It is so well done. This series has just taken my breath away countless times. This book and this series has been full of surprising twists and turns.

This book was TENSE! I loved the angst and strong emotions from both MC’s. The willpower and strength from the fmc was so admirable, she just kept pushing on even when it felt too hard.

And the MMC? That boy had some SERIOUS grovelling to do lol and he def did it in his own way.

The two of them were just made for each other and this book was so good at showing how they grew and learned how to change into who they needed to be.

If you like angst, strong female leads and a bit of darkness then you def need to read this book!

The main reason I read this is to continue the storyline from the first book however, I didn’t think that it was my favorite. I liked the redemption arc for the MMC, but the FMC’s storyline was not my fave. I think the author was trying to give her depression, but write it in a different way and it threw off the romance of the book because basically she got with her rapist (and it was supposed to be okay).

My favorite parts of the book was when we saw the MMC interact with his daughter, and when everyone else was in the story, I will continue reading the series to figure out how it ends

Who do I need to ki!!?

"The second installment in the Lunar Legacy Series dives deep into dark fantasy, compelling you to root for the villain in a tale that's as brutal as it is heartbreaking. With vivid violence, emotional weight, and tragic turns, the story of Amy and Zatch unfolds in a way that's impossible to look away from. Every page is gripping—this book is a new favorite and absolutely worth the read."

Just like the first book I think there are some really interesting elements within the story. I wish they had been explored on a deeper level. The world building and magic system just felt glossed over.
This book definitely is darker and more intense than the first book. I felt the comedic relief that was added throughout was nice. However, the ending was very rushed.

I really enjoyed all the twists and turns and watching Amy & Zatch find themselves throughout this book. There was a jump scare that was super fun too. Overall, a good read that I would continue to recommend to others.

This was a dark fantasy full of tension and angst. Loved the FMC wish I could also “just keep swimming”. Great twist and turns. I enjoyed myself but please check trigger warnings.
