I was really disappointed in the book overall and here's why.
First, this is probably the worst edited book I've ever read. The first half was decent but the last half looked as if no editing had been done at all.
Second, whereas the first books had a real plot and direction, this book seemed to aimlessly wander. It seemed to have no direction.
Third, while the first two books were a good mix of sci-fi and fantasy, this book was much more fantasy than sci-fi and the fantasy wasn't that compelling. It seemed almost too surreal, even for a fictional book. Naero seemed to have just the right tool handy for any situation and at some point in the book I realized there was no longer any suspense because you knew what was going to happen.
It wasn't that this was a BAD book. It's just that it wasn't as good as it's predecessors. I will await the next installment and it will hopefully be better.
