This book came at the right time and is exactly what we need in a world of noise, endless negative newscycle and misinformation. The author skillfully adapted traditional buddhist wisdom & meditation practices for everyday people to deal with modern day challenges. The meditation instructions go beyond just "being mindful" and has many contemplative exercises to help us develop skills to be focused, increase clarity for decision making, develop empathy for ourselves and others, feel joyous, and to live authentically in a conflicted world. This is such a gem, highly recommend!
This book was kindly gifted to me and has been a great help in affirming my concerns with how the current digital age is affecting our sense of self and psyche. As the title suggests it offers a discussion around this theme including the Authors personal experiences which sets a casual, relatable tone throughout. With various meditation methods and mindfulness techniques, it offers a way to establish a clear direction in life - with less distractions and more time to focus on what really matters. A great book to take your time with, while learning a bit more on Buddhism too!

My favourite part of the book is the easy to follow meditation practices! The content in the book is very concise and can be consumed in a bite sized fashion. Can’t wait to delve deeper :)
