🤣🤣🤣 This was SO bad 🤣🤣🤣

Okay. Let’s discuss it 💃🏾

Plot Summary

Lyric (😒) is a junior and has an illicit love affair with three senior boys Archer, Zander, and Levi, all known for being wealthy and shit-stirrers. When they plan a prank at school and involve Lyric, a fire breaks out and Lyric spills the beans that perhaps her boyfriends did it all due to some forceful nudging from her bestie Madison. The boys are found, pissed, and write her off as they’re off to military school.

And Lyric is now pregnant.

Oh this is so fucking funny, let’s keep going.

Lyric, of course, is the mother of Eli and decides to go to Sterling Heights University on scholarship, where, of course, those three exes of her are. The exes are blaming her for ruining their lives, and they threaten to take her scholarship away. Because…they have that power?? Apparently??? So Lyric, of course, becomes their 24/7 slave.

She’s such a responsible mother 🥺

Something something Lyric is such a perfect victim something something the guys are immature assholes something something she doesn’t want to explain who Eli’s father is.

Until—bestie Madison swoops in and basically outs one of the guys as Eli’s father and now the guys are pissed and wanna sue for custody. And Lyric is so betrayed that her best friend, whom was super sus, betrayed her.

What happens next on the latest CW show? Well, here we go.

Lyric, during this time, has had the help of sussy boi Cameron, who is—wait—actually a bad guy!

I know! Didn’t spot that, did you?

Now that Lyric has the talking stick and ✨speaks her truth✨, the guys feel bad. But that’s okay. Lyric doesn’t care how they treated her because she wants to be with them again 🥰

And then they fuck!

Are the responsible parents in the room with us 🤔

Something something Cameron and Madison are cousins and are working together as the Evil Villains this season. They make all these claims to make sure Lyric is dismissed from uni. Madison is a fake friend who is, verbatim, “the blonde bombshell in high school and guys crawled out of the woodwork to ask me out.”

And Madison puts “mad” in her name because she’s so upset a “fat, dumpy, frizzy-haired kid from the wrong side of town” snagged the Hudson boys.

That’s it, that’s the tweet.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I’m cry-laughing at how BAD this is.

Oh and there’s a rival frat, Sigma I think.

“Alphas aren’t going to get away with messing with Sigmas.”

Yup. That’ll do it 👍🏾

Something something Lyric isn’t expelled 😮‍💨 and something about Madison basically evil monologuing and then we montage to Madison like it was Agatha All Along and the cousins get arrested.

They’re plotting about destroying Sigma and then have sex so Lyric can “feel full” and then decide to go to Europe.

This is gonna ruin the tour.

What tour?

The WOLRD tour.

I don’t know. They fucked some more, everything’s kumbaya, Lyric somehow made some huge impact on an entire university, she gets bred to have more children, there’s a four year time skip.

Okay 👏🏾

This was so bad 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

But I laughed the entire time!

This was such “I’m 14 and this is deep so let me put it on WattPad in the year 2008” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

This isn’t a romcom or anything. This was just bad in a funny way to me. There was not much thought put into much of this, and I love it. I love how everything works off tropes. It’s like this book was stitched together from popular BookTok darlings, glue, and thoughts and prayers.

I went into this book expecting this to be yet another failure of Rue/Lawson’s Forsyth Lords trilogy.

I came out understanding this is Leila Jame’s Brutal Boys of SIN having an alcoholic cousin from Florida.

Gods, my ancestors died so I had the freedom to read this 😭🤣😭🤣

Anyweighs, I don’t know how to genuinely rate this because this was just a bad book, but I giggled. It was like a C-list movie, maybe B-list. Very CW.

My ancestors really died for me to read this. This is becoming more depressing when I think more about it 😭😭😭

Namaste 🧘🏿‍♀️

Ok so. I, usually, try to finish reading every book that I start, but… the difficulty I’m having with this one because of the sheer rage and pure FRUSTRATION it’s causing me? I swear, I don’t think any book leads (both the males and female) ever made me feel so goddamn ANGRY.
I’m halfway through it (51%) and I lost count of how many times I wanted to throw my kindle across the room.
Let’s be honest, bully romance is always kind of hard to read (at least for me) but if written well it can be good! Great, even!
This? This just made me hate it.
Honestly, I hate the male leads with burning passion, and not even the backstories are making me looking at them in a different light. They infuriate me.
The female lead? Good God have mercy. At first I gave her the benefit of the doubt (you gotta give it to everyone) but the more I read the more I started realizing she was just….kind of insufferable.?
Why does she keep conveniently brushing off everything they keep doing and saying to her? It’s starting to get really, REALLY hard to (read) watch.
I skimmed through the smut parts because I was just??? so pissed off, that I couldn’t enjoy them???? If they were the saving grace of this book….. welp.

This is my “review” for now. Maybe by the end of the book my rating and opinion will have changed. I really hope they do.

Update: NEVERMIND EVERYONE! I’m giving up at 52%! I can’t do this anymore! Bye!

«They’ve had their payback from me. Is it too much to hope that we can all move forward now, together? I don’t know if I should get my hopes up, but I do know that I can’t seem to live without them in my life.»

……………..…..NAH I’M OUT. I’M OUT.
After all that? After everything they did to you? After they humiliated, scorned and hurt you? Turned everyone against you?
You just hope for things to “get better” with them and…..move on? And they, what, start getting “friendly” with you again? JUST LIKE THAT?
What I wanted to read was her making them GROVEL on their f*cking knees, for them to see just HOW MUCH THEY FUCKED UP, but at this point? I just know it’s never gonna happen so yeah, I’m out. One star.
Peace.

DNF 20%. Such a waste of my time.

Have you ever read a book that you just kept laughing while reading? Not because it’s actually funny, but some of those incredulous laughs. Yeahhh this had me doing that from chapter two.

The plot is ok. It has simple bones to build on. Not a shred of originality.

The dialogue is diabolical. Bet you the author just needed to publish a book and quick and so we got this. The dialogue had me questioning literally every part of me that wondered why I even kept reading. I feel like if I read this when I was young teen I would’ve LOVED it. But I’m not. I’m a grown woman and this grown woman is not impressed at all.

The writing itself was basic. Lacking every bit of style.

The sex scene I just read? Wack af. Such a bore. Yawn.

All I wanted was a good RH book. I didn’t get that here.

If I could give a 0 star rating I would. But I can’t. So I give it a 1. *ahem* please know the reference here lol *ahem*

Lyric (FMC), Zane, Archer and Levi have been close for a long time but things between them became fractured by an event that broke them apart. One that taints all of them in their new University and puts the guys on a mission to make Lyric's life hell to make her leave.

For most of this book I enjoyed reading the push and the pull Lyric had with the guys. Some of which were steamy as hell. It was just all the misunderstandings and assumptions the guys made about Lyric without any proof that annoyed me to be honest. They didn't give her the benefit of the doubt. Saying that it was a good read.

Zane, Archer and Levi, who are brothers, are attending Sterling Heights University when they find out that the woman that they loved, who betrayed them in their home town of Crestwood is now attending the same university. They decide that her life will be theirs, she is going to pay for what she did to them. She got them sent away to Military school, which was hell. She will be under their control until they are satisfied she has paid her dues.

Lyric can't believe that the loves of her life are here. She has to stay away from them, it's not only her life that could be disrupted. A misunderstanding at Crestwood, has the brothers thinking she betrayed them and that is the last thing she would ever do.

The story follows how the brothers exact revenge on Lyric, they want to make her life a living hell. Lyric worried about her scholarship will allow the men to do whatever they want, but she still has feelings for them which make certain punishments a whole lot easier to take! But when they find they are trusting Lyric again, a further secret comes out, throwing them back to square one. They can't believe that she left them behind so easily when they left. But Lyric knows different, but does she tell them? But the people that Lyric turns to when it all gets too much for her to deal with, are they truly her friends, or have they ulterior motives?

Revenge, betrayal, hurt, humility, friendship and love are all on the line. Can the love that they once had ever return, allowing them the future they dreamed of?.

Healing Old Scars? Or Opening New Ones…

This was a really emotional, yet spicy, bully romance. The storyline had great pacing, and because of that it kept my interest the whole way through. The bullying was harsh at times, but I was able to mostly sympathize with the guys, as well as Lyric, because they all suffered because of one night & all the assumptions made about the events that took place (even though I wish they had all just been able to sit down & communicate all their hurt before it got so out of hand). What started as revenge, became a healing journey for 4 people who needed each other to soothe out all of each other’s jagged edges. Revenge led to old scars being reopened, old feelings pushed their way through without permission, and before any of them knew it, new feelings had started to pave the way to the possibility of redemption for all involved. Too bad the issues between them aren’t the only obstacles they have to face. The ending is full of drama that other people bring into their lives right as they think they’ve started figuring things out together. It made for an exciting & chaotic ending, but made the resulting HEA that much better. If you enjoy friends-to-lovers-to enemies-to-lovers, and second chances for a HEA, then this will be right up your alley. It was definitely more of a fast burn physically, but slower to mid burn emotionally. I loved the balance between emotion, plot, & spice, and enjoyed watching all of the character development that unfolded. Another great story by Lisa!

Lords of the Campus is part of the Forbidden Reverse Harems collection. It's a steamy, OTT, enemies-to-lovers, reverse harem, opposites-attract, curvy girl gets her 3 hotties second-chance, dark college bully romance. Lyric is a young, curvy girl who grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. She was best friends with the brothers, Archer, Levi, and Zane since middle school. She was a year younger. They were lovers in high school and took her virginity until they thought she betrayed them when a school prank went wrong. They went off to military school and would not talk to her, writing her off. She was pregnant but never able to tell them. Fast forward a few years, and they end up at the same college. They resolve to make her life a living hell, and she lets them, not wanting to lose her scholarship. But the line between love and hate is thin. There are other enemies unknown to the group. What happens when they find they have a son? Can they forgive each other and find love again? The chemistry was pure fire between these 4, and we did get a fantastic HEA,but it was quite a roller-coaster of emotions first.

This is a story about manipulation, revenge and misunderstanding. Archer, Zane and Levi are the big men on campus in high school until a prank was blamed on them. They were sent off the military school.
Now they are the kings of the campus in college until the girl they think turned them in shows up and they decide to get revenge.
Lyric has worked hard to keep her grades up and get a full ride scholarship while also raising her little boy. But when the three boys that she fell in love with see her she sees the ugly side of them.
But when outside forces try to take them all down they find out that the people they trusted shouldn't have been. But can they overcome all the obstacles that are put in front of them?.

Good storyline, but the timeline needs work

It was a good book, I would recommend reading it. My main issue is the timeline of events and how some of them were presented. One thing would happen, and then the next page it was suddenly weeks later. Also, Eli was around 18 months old when Lyric started school, and although it doesn't say for sure, I'm assuming this was a four year college. In the last chapter it states that it had been 4 years since they left college behind, which if you do the math would make it 8 years since she started school. However they stated that Eli is only six, and then somehow he has a sister who is four. She would have needed to have gotten pregnant almost immediately after starting school to have a child 2 years younger than her oldest. The ages just don't match up.

A few year later, when Lyric attends Sterling Heights University, she bumps into them again. The brothers decide to make her life hell, which she takes in stride to not lose her scholarship. What happens when they learn of the secret she's been keeping since they left? Will they forgive each other?

The guys were so brutal I wasn’t sure I was going to like this story. But, they finally got their heads on straight, listened and redeemed themselves. I can’t say I’d be as forgiving as Lyric was. This story was absolutely brutal but in the end filled with absolute love.
It’s funny, they say women or fickle, but the way the guys reacted and immediately turned in Lyric is something I’ve seen a lot of in my life. Guys tend to be less willing to find out what actually happened than just responding.
A great why choose filled with lots and lots of great smexy time once you get past the bullying.

This is an emotional roller coaster ride with revenge, deception and sabotage. The story is about Lyric, Archer, Zane and Levi. This is a reverse harem story about high school friends who find themselves sharing a hot, steamy summer together only to come back and find their lives forever changed. When Lyric starts college her world is turned in its axel when she is confronted by the three men she gave herself too. I enjoyed the story. I did not like the guys at first but as the story developed I saw the way the grew and realizations kicked in. Little Eli stills the show in the end. I liked to see that karma finally caught up to the antagonist.

This was a tension-filled RH romance.

Lyric is trying to attend college while providing for her young son. Archer, Levi and Zane are the three boys/men she knew and loved in high school. The guys were blamed for a prank, and sent off to military school. They believed Lyric turned them in. So, there are obviously some hard feelings.

It's a very angsty story, as the guys bully Lyric, trying to exact revenge. All the while, Lyric is trying to survive school, and the guys, all while keeping her son a secret.

Lots of tension, tons of steam, and an eventual HEA. Enjoyable read!.

Not sure what it is that makes the whole 'bully to lovers' genre so entertaining especially when you see how much bullying those hot guys direct towards the lead female. But for some wild reasoning it does and it seems to just make the eventual moment of love recognition even more delicious. Great characters in an action packed plot filled with so many entertaining scenarios that will truly keep you emotionally charged. If you enjoy the Reverse harem, college bully boys that truly make a girls life emotionally testing then you just might need to check this title out for yourself.

Lords Of The Campus is my first read by this author. It's a great RH story that'll pull you in quickly and keeps you there until the end. Lyric, Zane, Archer and Levi bring us to Sterling Heights University. Their story is compelling and consuming. well written journey. These characters are fantastic! Being able to go on their path with them as they evolve past the lies, secrets, misunderstandings and betrayals and find each other again has been one heckuva ride.

Good story

I liked this story but the bullying got a little repetitive at times. I love a good bully or dark romance, this was just one miscommunication after another. I had to remind myself at times these characters were in their early 20's. I also thought after everything they put her through they should have Grove led a bit before being forgiven. I do love a good grovel. But this was an interesting story, good characters, lots of angst and drama and pretty fast paced. I would recommend this book.

I would give this more along the lines of 3.5 stars. You could definitely tell these were younger adults. The things they did to the women they “loved” I would call it abuse. I can’t believe she still wanted a relationship with these guys. The whole book was basically the bullying or belittling her in some way. For something she didn’t do. It was hard to finish reading this book. The writing was good. The characters where just so immature.

I have mixed feelings about this book. I've always enjoyed bully romances and I love a reverse harem. But I feel like the boys went a little far. And lyric was just too willing to forgive and forget after all the things they did. What really irritated me was when she gave her speech about having too much self-respect and then turned around and showed how little self-respect she had.

Lyric & The Lords of Campus: Zane, Archer, & Levi: The Forbidden Reverse Harem Collection: Enemies to lovers/ secrets/ college bully/ revenge romance: This is a spicy emotional rollercoaster filled with revenge, misunderstandings, manipulation, and desire. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline, however I feel like more groveling was due to Lyric. Entertaining and spicy read.

Secrets, lies, misinformation, misleading statements and miscommunications all lead to this explosive book.
Wanting to scream and say open your eyes and stop blaming other people for your own actions was a big part of reading this book.
Thankfully is all worked out in the end however the ride getting is filled with angst, betrayal, mistrust, cruelty and frustration.

Not my favorite by Lisa Cullen. These 3 "boys" take bullying to a whole new level and not in a good way. And how Lyric puts up with it and forgives so easily is beyound me. Archer, Zane and Levi are the big men on campus and use that positiob to make Lyrics life misserable. Too much for me, just an OK read.

I quite enjoyed this book, even if I thought Archer, Zane, and Levi were kind of childish until almost the end, and Lyric was a bit of a doormat. The story was strong enough, but I felt the smutty scenes were a bit repetitive - and I love smut! But sometimes less is more! I'd give it a 3.5, I would normally give this author a 4 or more.

It was really good. I gave it 3 stars because there was alot of time jumps. I wish we would of seen more of the guys parents involv3d with the kids and stuff. But I love when a book does a future look. The charater was so good and the writing was great. I've enjoyed a few books of this author and I think you will too.

Lisa is a queen at writing RH novels and this was a fun read. Loved reading about past loves, betrayal, finding one again and coming to terms with the past.

Lyric and her men are in for a ride and not everyone is on their side.

This is a very good story about how Levi, Archer and Zane thought that Lyric betrayed them, and how they exact their revenge.
This book is super steamy, with some sad and emotional scenes. It is also fun when they try to challenge each other and then, more often than not it ends up steamy!
This is an excellent read.

The wrong end of the stick causes the need for revenge on their first love. The punishments they serve out are cruel and push the limits but love prevails. This is an enemy to lover story with an intense story line. A brilliant read with a lot of steamy romance.
