Hudson stole my happy ending.I’m going to make sure he regrets it. Being with the Keller pack was supposed to be the fairytale ending I deserved but everything is falling apart. My Alpha is in jail. Grayson and Maceo are keeping the company afloat while juggling two emotional Omegas. And Blake, my beautiful Omega, is suffering. I’ve never felt more helpless in my entire life. Especially when Hudson finds a way back into our life with a legal loophole. My mates believe that Luther may be the only one who can truly save us from my ex-Alpha but I also have a plan that I know will surely work. Something a lot more dangerous. It could even kill me. But it’ll save the ones I love. I never thought I’d have to fight this hard to be happy but I’ll do everything I can to end up in their arms. In Their Arms is the second installment in the Always Your series. It is an 18+ MMMMM fast-burn Mpreg Omegaverse with dark themes and ends with a HFN and a mild cliffhanger. TW/CW in the Author’s Note.

I didn’t like this one as much as the first one. It felt a bit repetitive to me and started skim reading a bit after I hit the 50% mark. I feel like this should’ve been a duology, there’s not enough plot to keep the interest high throughout the entire book. I don’t care if you give me the last two chapters with high intensity and plot twists if the entire book felt like we weren’t getting much done.
It’s still a good book, but I’m scared of having to read an entire other book to get a HEA? I feel like romance-wise we’re done. They’re already all together and very much in love, it feels like there’s not enough romantic tension to keep me glued because the romance is already developed. It’s all about the plot of the external bad guys trying to keep them apart.
While this book wasn’t as angsty as book one, it was still a bit anxiety inducing. Maybe it’s just me, or I’m anxiety prone in this period, but I had to take breaks from reading this.
I’m probably going to finish the series cause I’m curious about that plot twist at the end. I had my doubts but I wasn’t sure.

I was really excited to receive this Arc! I finished it in a day and it was great! Everything i needed answered was answered, and yet I have more questions!! The last couple chapters were a roller coaster. I highly recommend this book!
I loved seeing Luca's character develop in this. It was heartbreaking seeing the pain he endured and the sacrifices he had to make, but his pack comes together for him and shows their need, affection and love for him. It's full of spice, tension, mystery, revenge and angst. The ending was so unexpected and I am dying to know what happens next.
Rating: 3.5, rounded down for GR -ˏˋ⋆⋆ˊˎ- Story: 3/5 Spice: High (# of scenes, descriptions) Characters: 3/5 -ˏˋ⋆⋆ˊˎ- Overall reco: This book felt like it dragged a bit and I kept having to put it down because I would get so upset at the world. To be fair, I had been looking for exactly this kind of vibe, there it feels like the world is against the characters and nothing they do matters. N. Slater is very good at that. I felt the same way about Woodland Appeal/An Omega's Preference, where there is the constant threat of nothing is ever going to work out. That said, it felt like this book stagnated. We resolved the cliffhanger of the first book and then it just kind of sat there. The story folded in on itself several times and I just felt like I was running in circles with the characters and while that can be something enjoyable, to really feel the drama and how a character feels 'stuck' the effect felt more of a slog this time. I kind of hit an empathy wall I think with the characters, as I started to get very annoyed when I saw the same scene's happening several times. It felt a lot like it was being dragged out, and I'm sure it kind of was? Like the author probably wanted the reader to feel how the world was dragging out of the characters and while I get that, it made for a very frustrating experience. Honestly, I don't know how these a/b/o dicks didn't fall off from overuse. It felt like almost every chapter mentioned or had a sex scene. I rather expect that in a lot of the MPREG storylines but damn. If you are looking for drama, drama, and more fucking drama with copious amounts of sex, this is a good series. Personally, I liked this more than An Omega's Preference even thought I couldn't finish it.
(Other Notes) I will admit that I technically didn't finish this... I got to one of the last chapters. I read the chapter of the villan's POV and just decided to stop there. Maybe I'll come back and read the final chapter an book, but there is too much internal agita with this story. And at the time I wanted to be done with it. I was in a stressful situation outside of the books and I just needed to step away.
In Their Arms is the second book in the Always Yours series which follows Luca with his Alphas & Omega...plus the final "M"...who could it be??
We see Luca settling in with his Alphas and Omega seeing what true love is all about flourishing under their attention even while trying to get Hudson to leave them alone but this man will not take no for an answer. Through the whole book we see them going through so much and you keep wondering how much more can they take.
Luca chooses to do to something very drastic to try and protect himself and his pack. Will it help or will it destroy everything they’ve been trying to build?
This book ends on a cliffhanger that made me go WTF!!! It’s going to be a very long six months until the final book is released.
Do yourself a favour and read both the books currently in the series to get ready for the final book which I think is going to be the best one yet.
This was such an awesome and angsty journey! If you haven’t read book 1, stop here cause there will definitely be minor spoilers for the first book, plus you should read book 1 anyway! Okay so book two has us see Luther still in jail and Grayson, Blake, Luca and Maceo are trying to cope without him. Blake takes ill and that’s when crap really hits the fan and Luca is removed to go to an Omega center. Things go from bad to worse for the entire pack. Things are dire and heartbreaking and there’s some powerful people trying to keep them apart. Luther gets out of jail to learn everything that has gone down and they must come up with a plan to save Luca from Hudson. This was just an awesome read. Sucked me in and didn’t let go until I was finished. And let me tell you, I did not see parts of that coming! I love the Keller pack. I love this series and I can’t wait to see how it plays out in book 3. I will say that this book leaves you hanging a little bit but no major cliff hangers, but it does leave the plot open for the final book. The pack is left in a good place. Well written, endearing characters, sexy times and so much love and angst and heartbreak. Thoroughly enjoyed this one and can’t wait for the final book.
Wow, this series is truly outstanding so far! It’s filled with darkness, angst, trauma, and unexpected twists and turns. The characters are captivating; you either love and adore someone like Luca or despise someone like Hudson. Then there are characters like the buyer who completely blow your mind. I can't wait for the next book!
This book was so good!!!! I love a good mpreg but this book gives you so much more. That little plot twist at the end of the book I can’t wait for book 3 now! I love the dynamics in this book and now I need more.
Absolutely loved this book! All the turmoil that Luca and his pack are going through broke my heart. The plot was ridiculously good and I never saw it coming! I love Luca and Blake together they’re adorable. Omg the ending!!! Did not see that one coming at all!!!
Hurt to comfort, suspenseful book. With plenty of highs and lows! Can not wait for the final instalment!!!! Great character development. Feel like I need a lie down though after finishing xxx
Soooooo…. All of my questions from before were answered. But I still have so many questions!! Absolutely loved this book!!! My heart broke for Luca and his pack though. This book had me at the edge of my seat and had me all in my feelers. Highly recommend this book and this author.
This is still one of my favorite series by this author!!! Book two was no exception, i absolutely love the Keller pack and honestly cannot wait for book 3. They have had so much thrown at them and they continue to come out stronger at the end of each thing. And holy cliffhanger at the end!! I did NOT see that one coming!!!
I am glad I didn’t have to wait for book two because after reading the first I dove right into this one! I could not put it down. I stayed up all night to finish this beauty! This started right where it left off from book one. I was sucked in from the get go and I don’t regret a moment! I was left hanging though and I can’t wait for the next one! I and absolutely excited to get it!
My heart hurt for this pack because things went from bad to worse. My heart is hurting for them and I was happy when they were finally all back together. They all deserve to be happy and they are together and that makes me smile.
Overall, I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait for book three. This book was well written and the characters are lovable. The pace is good and it gave me so much angst and heartbreak,m. Highly recommend this series if you love omegaverse!
What a stressful ride. Everything seemed like it was falling apart and I was so worried that we would lose some people, but thankfully things picked up and we have some peace near the end.
Doesn't end in a cliffhanger, but in suspense instead, since we see hints (or confirmation?) of Luca's original buyer and he has plans.
Luca's parents are awful and I hope they get their karma.
So happy for the pack to be more cohesive, and I loved all the dynamics and seeing everyone play well with one another yummmm. Excited and scared for the additional members we'll be getting, and stressed about what's to come in the next book.
This was a really great sequel! I've been dying to read the second book after that ending from the first installment, and this gave everything that I wanted it to deliver. It's a nice follow up that got even more thrilling the more chapters I was in, with an unexpected conclusion and reveal.
Without spoilers, the story continues where book one ended, which is with the pack having trouble with the new situation they're in. Luca and Blake, the omegas, are the ones who are doing the worst, but the rest isn't holding up better. Things get worse when the one event that Blake was the most afraid of takes place, and everyone is devastated. Luca will have to confront another challenge, but this time he isn't alone and his pack is working to make things right.
This series keeps surprising me in a good way. There were many things I enjoyed from book one that reflect in this one as well, one of them being the poly pack of five guys acting reciprocate they are in their affections with each other. It creates the sense of unity and equality in treatment for all of them, something that is very needed in poly stories, especially this one because it involves a handful of people. Despite that, the story is consistent with letting each one have their POVs according to the events.
The good pacing was another great thing. I enjoyed book one a lot, but there were moments where I thought some sex scenes were taking space from the plot. Here, there are less and they're short in comparison, which doesn't interrupt the gripping drama overall. I would've wanted a couple of them placed at another time, but it didn't affect my engagement because I understood they were needed to create comfort following the reunion scenes. I'm especially very into Blake and Luca as I stated in my review for the first installment, their dynamic is something I always crave in books with more than one omega and this series is giving me exactly what I want.
Last thing I wanted to highlight is that the story took me to places I didn't expect. I really like how the mystery is developing and that the conflicts aren't solved easily. It makes them feel more believable, considering the construction of the villain(s) in the story. I also got surprised at the reveals near the end. I only guessed what Luca was told in the middle of the book, but after that I had no idea. I really like surprises when they make a story compelling, and this is one of those cases.
Ultimately, this was a great follow up to the start of this MMMMM poly omegaverse, full of thrilling scenes and reveals near the end, with a gripping plot that continues to expand while maintaining the core of the story, which are the mutual care and protection shared between five men of different designations.

I obsessively consumed this story. I needed answers and I was far to emotionally invested and became quite attached during book 1. Book 2? I spent the first 25% of the book with tears in my eyes by the time I was at 30%. This second book was beyond an emotional roller coaster. It was totally devastating, with a touch of happy moments. But how long does happiness last?
Watching the characters develop more was absolute perfection. Watching everyone have to come to terms with the hands they were given was heart wrenching and of coursing finding out piece by piece more of what was REALLY going on kept my eagerly turning the page. I needed answers. I needed to know what was next. Now that I have finished book 2? My eyes sting from the constant tears that would appear. My mind is processing the information I have been given throughout the story wondering if I missed any signs now that I've had the ending. I'm jumping straight into book 3 because I need to know.
While book 1 did not feature mpreg book 2 does. I know this is going to be a more niche area than a typical omegaverse and I didn't know what I would think of it. But I'm obsessed with the characters, I'm in love with the moments, their actions, theirs bonds. For the world it makes sense and adds a new layer to an OV world that I hadn't really thought of. If you haven't tried an mpreg story, while I know it is NOT for everyone I do think this could be a good story to start out with it. Book 1 you'll meet the characters, get the plot, see the bonds, and everything that happens and develops and in book 2 eventually you do get mpreg. It was easy for me to accept after becoming so attached to the characters. The author really did do fantastic and I'd recommend giving it a try. If you love mpreg and also unconventional pack dynamics, bonding bites, deep heart wrenching moments that also get lifted up with the moments of hope and happiness I'd recommend diving into this series. It has had me wrecked, it's had me laugh, shocked, and being entirely emotionally invested that I've been a wreck right with the characters.
Following straight on from From The Edge, we pick the guys up separated and not in the greatest of places. Luther still unlawfully in jail, Blake in need of the hospital and the others just trying to hold on.
Blake struggles throughout this book, only finding a place to land towards the end. Luca finds himself with a special surprise and his own run in with the law. Luther, Grey and Maceo are giving all the alpha energy and I cant wait to see how there relationship progresses.
The story feels like a rollercoaster in the best of ways finally bringing us to a happy for now.
I cant wait for the next book and conclusion, little surprises, the end of the buyer and the well deserved HEA.
The Keller Pack is probably one of my favorite packs to date. “From The Edge” ended on a cliffhanger and this book did not disappoint. It made me cry, yell at the characters, and made me so angry, but the fluff was a bitter sweet balm as the Keller pack fights for their omega, desperate to get him out from under his abusive ex. What I loved about this book is that the world is falling down around them, but life continues and they must roll with the punches as they come as they keep their heads above water. Luca and Blake are just the sweetest omegas and watching their relationship makes you feel like you’re intruding, and I need more. I cannot wait for book three.
Alright....... I am lost for words. Nothing could have prepared for that cliffhanger.
That is a sign of an author that knows how to keep their readers holding on to the edge of their seats as they turn their pages.
I loved it. This was so fucking good and dear Lord, the spice was just lip smacking. The relationships and love as well as the emotions Luca and the pack go through just make you feel like you are there along with them.
This is just a perfect book. Looking forward to the next book.
Honestly, the plot is good, and I love the dynamics of the pack. Need me a Luther.
However, it does become hard to ignore that that nearly every sentence is structured almost exactly the same. Example: "His nostrils are flared, Blake not listening to me in the slightest. His panic is riding him hard, Quentin watching me with worry."
That having been said, I still greatly enjoyed this book and the first in the series, and I've read them both cover to cover. I just hope the writing style improves a bit in #3 so not every sentence is "He verbed, verbing."
In Their Arms, book 2 of the Always Yours series, by N. Slater @slater.47. First off, I am a fan of Nic’s & this book was no different!
This was a phenomenal 2nd book about Luca, Blake, Grayson, Luther & Maceo! Tropes: Contemporary, Omegaverse, MMMMM, Found Family, HFN but that Cliffhanger! Holy wow!
this was a good follow up to the last book. The characters have completely pulled me into this story. I need to know what happens next. Luca is so lovable and you can't help but feel for him, what he's gone through and what he's continuing to go through. I cannot wait for the final book to see how all of this is resolved.
The Keller pack has been going through so many obstacles that they can’t get a break. The happiness is always short lived and it’s so sad. I feel so bad for Luca and Blake the guys too. The cliffhanger at the end I wasn’t really shocked I felt like there were lots of hints there, but I can’t wait to see how the next book plays out. I am on the edge.
I was sick with anxiety the entire time I read this book. It was absolutely phenomenal!!!!! You get relief for a moment and then you're freaking out because of something else. Ugggg, I want to read this for the first time all over again already.
Definitely not your standard omegaverse, I like the plot though it’s depressing 95% of the time. This pack knows little to no peace and considering that they decide to be hot and horny at the worst times 😭
I really love the follow-up from book one. In their arms. Was a thrilling and emotional read. And I love this omegaverse story. I love the connection between the pack members and I was highly engaged with the story and the characters. I highly recommend reading this book series
In their arms is book 2 in the always yours series and just as good as the first one I love n slaters books. I am getting tired of cliffhangers though lol every series I read lately has them it's driving me nuts but it was worth it
