A fun and exciting story for readers of all ages, Leo the Elf Saves Christmas is a timeless holiday story that will warm your heart and leave you believing in the magic of Christmas.
Leo is Santa’s guardian elf and it’s his job to save the Spirit of Christmas. He gets help from Ava, daughter of the town toy store owner. They haven’t sold a single toy all year but she still thinks she can feel Christmas magic in her heart.
It’s a rough job to save Christmas - Sorrow King, Despair Minions, Dark Realm. These all are conspiring to end it AND Santa Claus!
Leo looked to the Elder Elves for guidance. They told him how to find “the key”. Leo had no idea it was going to be this difficult as he begins this epic adventure in the Human Realm; looking for Ava and trying to Save Christmas.
Fantasy and adventure that’s a bit Hobbity for a younger audience. There is tension and apprehension but none of the scary or more foreboding elements that would garner a PG-13 rating or higher. This book would earn a G to very soft PG rating.
Chapter lengths are reasonable for a single sit down time. A good candidate for independent reading or groups with discussion📚
Leo the Elf Saves Christmas is a new book by Bradley Doxon. I felt like a child again as I read this sweet Christmas story. I thought the author used vocabulary that was at the reading level of Second grade and above.. But, this chapter book is a holiday story that parents can read to younger children. The characters are great captivating and the drama perfect for young children. I think that Leo the Elf Saves Christmas might become a holiday classic. I received an arc for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.
Wonderful story about a very resourceful and dependable elf who sets out to save christmas. There are a few bumps along the way and some unpredictable moments that he must go through as he tries to save christmas. Wonderful characters and good story centered around the holidays. Families are going to enjoy reading this book together. Kids will enjoy it as one of the first chapter books they can learn to read.

Save the world adventure for holiday cheer. Leo, a trained protector, teams up with a human girl named Ava. The Sorrow King broke out of the Realm of Darkness and is up to no good. What happened to Santa? Will there be enough of Mrs. Claus' gingerbread cookies for everyone? Tune in and read to find out.
It's a cute and quick-saving Christmas story. Leo and Ava made a good team. I liked the emphasis on Christmas being more about spending time with family and not all about buying stuff. But that was mentioned several times. It was sad that Jesus' birth wasn't mentioned. The focus was on the Christmas spirit.
Rating: PG-13 -some dark elements Language: clean read Recommend: maybe
Leo the Elf is a charming story, engaging the edges of Santa stories commonly known in the USA. Leo takes on the biggest task of his life so far, and finds a being from another realm, a human, to help him. A story of teamwork rising from the depths of despair to the light of good things and care for other beings. A must for any Christmas story Library!
