Accepting Destiny is a heartfelt journey of two people broken by life’s hardest blows, whose chance encounter sets them on an unexpected path toward healing and love. The story begins on Sanaa’s birthday where she and her bestie are preparing for a fun night in when she stumbles across a gut-wrenching social media post. Her cheating ex-husband has just proposed to the woman he left her for—using the very ring Sanaa once wore. Fueled by betrayal and revenge, Sanaa barely resists the urge to confront him, but her best friend wisely takes her back to her hometown of Mahogany Falls, where Sanaa hopes her mother’s hugs can help her recover.
The MMC, Armond,, has also been stuck in a cycle of grief for two years, haunted by the anniversary of a life-changing tragedy. He lives in a haze, surrounded by well-meaning but pitying glances from his small town, and feeling as if he’s trapped in the shadows of his past. Trying to keep to himself, he heads to the grocery store for a quick errand, thinking it’ll be another day of numbness and routine. But fate has other plans. In an unexpected twist, this brief trip for coffee creamer becomes a pivotal moment, setting him on a new path when he crosses paths with Sanaa.
Although they knew each other from high school, their reconnection is covered in layers, filled with the pain and hope that only two people who’ve been deeply hurt can understand. The chemistry is undeniable as they begin to break through each other’s defenses and find solace in their shared vulnerability. Cozy Small town read
Sanaa and Armond shared a forbidden kiss in high school. Years later Sanaa returns home from the big city after a failed marriage on her thirtieth birthday. Accepting Destiny is a second chance small town romance that will give you all the feels. Author Lesanda Moore does a great job of writing writing a MMC that worthy of the book boyfriend title and Sanaa is a strong FMC with a slick mouth . I really enjoyed this story. 5 stars

After the pain…
This was an enjoyable quick read. Learning to trust and open yourself up again after experiencing a loss is a challenging task. Both Armond and Sanaa had to overcome their individual insecurities with being vulnerable again. Once they realized they couldn’t live without each other, it was a wrap. New to me author and I enjoyed her writing style.

Everything I expected and more!!
I loved this second chance love story! It was sweet and put me right in my feelings! I was waiting for this book to drop and Lesanda did not disappoint me at all!! I’m so glad Sanaa got her happy ending!

Cute comfy read
I enjoyed my time in the falls... I like a little chaos so I was waiting for Sanaa to sugar Charles tank but thank goodness for friends who talk us off the ledge and keep us out of jail!

A great read
This book was amazing. I loved that I was able to witness the growth of the MFC. And the second chance love story was top tier, I definitely recommend this book.

You talk about an intentional man! He allowed her to go through what she needed while supporting her. When he thought she may slip away, he showed her he was in fact not one of them 😂🥰!

2.5⭐ I really wanted to love this story, but it fell short for me. The FMC returns home after divorce and immediately picks up with the guy she kissed at prom 10+ years ago. I am not a fan of insta-love/lust or characters falling for each other without there being reasons beyond physical attraction.
On a positive note, the characters felt relatable and sincere. The story just needed more development and frankly, more story.
