Protecting her is his job. Getting close to her is a mistake. And falling for her is something he has no right to do.Luna’s quiet life is shattered when a silent, dangerous stranger forces her to leave everything behind in the middle of the night. He claims it’s the only way to keep her alive.
She doesn’t trust him. She shouldn’t. He’s guarded, rough around the edges, and carrying secrets he refuses to share. But as the danger closes in and isolation blurs the line between fear and desire, Luna finds herself drawn to the one man she was never supposed to want.
A slow-burn romantic suspense with forced proximity, a protective hero, emotional scars, and a love that grows in the shadow of danger.
I was recently lucky enough to receive an ARC of "Protecting Luna" so here's my thoughts 👀
First off, this is not a straight forward guy-meets-girl-and-they-live-happily-ever-after scenario... This is for sure a slow burn with lots of twist and turns!
Luna is the daughter of a scientist who is working on a formula that becomes extremely dangerous for them... Luckily for them, and unbeknownst to Luna, they have bodyguards to protect them when things take a turn for the worst!
Luna is thrust into a life that is constantly changing and taking her on different paths, whilst also trying to ignore her attraction to Ethan, who saved her. But when they end up staying with a friend of his, it all gets very confusing and her emotions are put to a real test... And unfortunately, she is only pushed into further tests as you get through the chapters!! 🫣
I absolutely enjoyed every single page of this page and really loved that this wasn't the typical romance. There was so much more to it - so many characters, so much drama and threat, so many issues along the way... It felt (although not a standard life me or you may lead) so much more real, because it WASNT straight forward!
