As a young child, Jaquayvious Holmes, also known as Beast, went through a terrifying experience that left him with deep trauma. This trauma caused Beast not to care about life and become uncontrollable, ultimately leading to his placement in foster care. Beast earned his name by becoming a street fighter and acting wild. As Beast matured, he left his turbulent past behind and became calmer. However, as he grew older, he became entangled in the dangerous streets of Cincinnati. Eventually, he succumbed to this lifestyle, gaining a reputation as a drug dealer. Beast’s number one goal was to become rich or die trying.
Enticed by an irresistible offer from the Gotti Organization, Beast found himself deeper into the drug world, both running his own operations and working for Gotti. However, as his life seemed to be on the right path, a series of deceit, disloyalty, and troubling revelations began to unravel, plunging Beast into chaotic and dangerous circumstances that threatened to awaken the inner beast that he had buried long ago. Can Beast tame the beast within, or will he unleash it? There's only one way to find out.

Must Read
Men and Women like Santana and Yonna are a disgrace. The moment Russia got with Santana and he talked her into to dropping out of College and leaving her job. Should've been a huge red flag. Their relationship might've started off good to Russia but Santana was a piece of s**t. He constantly cheated and ended up having a baby outside of their relationship with Bookie. Who is the hoe of Cincinnati. Russia was a sweetheart but Bookie learned quick that Russia had hands to. Santana was mad the Russia was at her breaking point and left his ass. Beast went through a traumatic experience as a twelve year old child. Witnessing his mother and father get murdered, to losing his grandmother a year later. Set the tone for how he grew up into adulthood. Beast was loyal as hell and had a heart for those he love. However he knew his girl Yonna was moving funny. Yonna dumb ass should've taken heed to Beast warning and her cousin Kina but she didn't. Yonna had no reason to cheat on Beast. She lost her damn mind when Beast found out and left her alone. Yonna knew how he was but yet her dumb ass teamed up with Santana plotting on Beast and Russia. Yonna thought going after Russia would be easy until Russia put hand's and feet on her and dragged Yonna like she did Bookie. Santana evidently didn't know who Beast was tied to because if he did. He wouldn't have thought it was a bright idea to kidnap Russia. I had a better understanding of why Russia didn't like her mother. Jackee was a disrespectful drunk and evidently had skeleton's that traced back to Beast. The plot and twist in this story was jaw dropping.

I truly appreciated the flow of this book and the background. Happy when Russia finally had enough and left Saint who knew what he had at home but wanted to do him, he was very controlling, and for him to be angry because she left was hilarious it didn't stop him from continuing what he was doing.
Beast was a good man and didn't deserve the way his ex was treating him but she got what she deserved along with Saint.
There was a part in this story that had me hollering, Ace was a fool for the way he responded when he walked into the bathroom and seen the female he brought home the night before.
Now the twist was the reveal about the killers identity of his parents, but justice was served.

This was a very good read for me until the end with Jackee supposedly being the one who unalived Beast parents when it was said that the shooter was a guy. The scene would’ve been better if she stated that she hired someone to unalive them. And I wanted to know why Jackee was so hateful towards Russia and was she like that with Juice. It was weird that Beast said that him and Juice looked just alike because why would Russia be attracted to someone who looked just like her brother. It was good that the author stayed with the Gotti theme with the Arizona meeting, cake, card, and milli delivered by Gotti.

nice very nice
This standalone is lit. My babies had some bad significant others at first that didn’t mean them no good. Then they met each other and surprised me how their families was connected cause of her mom and his dad. And my babies exes didn’t wanna leave well enough alone but they got theirs in the end. U did good on yet another book and I’m looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and eating popcorn and while waiting on the next book to read

This book was real good!!!…I was not expecting this story to unfold the way it did!!!…I enjoyed all the humor in this ok!!!…It is ALWAYS good to see a book that is wikis has a char that can keep it light with a few giggles!!!…
Now, I hope Ekon in this book is not the same Ekon in the story before this because I liked him in the other book, but in this one, he was for the streets and his wife sent him right back to his maker!!!…

Great Read
Beast was straight and to the point in all ways. He deserved better than Yonna. She was trifling and looking for her next come up. Rescuing Russia was the best thing that happened to the both of them. Their instant bond was beautiful. Santana got exactly what he deserved for being trifling. Ace and Tyieisha were hilarious! They were the best types of friends to have. This was a great read!

Yonna and Santana should have just taken the L. Beast and Russia found each other at the right time. Jackee should of kept her mouth 👄 shut. She should have realized Karma is always around just don't know how it's coming.

Both in dead end relationships with no good selfish individuals, they finally walked away. Their meeting was by accident, literally! When you let go and set yourself free, good things come your way! A great read!

That was a lot to take in. I can't believe that Juice is related to Beast and Russia. Russia's mom deserved to get killed. She was just evil. I am just happy that Beast got closure and Russia's dad survived getting stabbed from his wife. Great Read!

I really really liked this story. I decided to try this out to see if I would dive into the entire series, and this has truly won me over. That twist about 95% in was amazing.

This was a good read by Sherri Marie. She is a good writer. I have read other books from her. The only thing I would say was unanswered was if the baby was okay.

Beast being on the scene of the accident was the best thing to happen to the both of them. I love how they developed a friendship and fell in love 🥰
Yonna nor Santana deserved either one of them and neither one of them could accept that and move on, well look where that got them 🤷🏽♀️
Russia’s parents popping up really threw me bc I definitely wasn’t expecting that outcome 😳
Overall good read! My first from this author but I’ll definitely be checking her work out 👏🏾
