After the events of Violence on the Meek part 4, Paul Homolka is on the loose and is more violent than ever. But will Paul's reign end before it even has the chance to begin when an old foe decides to hunt him down?
“My name is Paul Edward Homolka, and I am responsible for more human deaths in the past twenty years than any motherfucker alive.”
Bray’s latest installment in the VOTM series is as vile and deranged as you may expect. He has managed to pull off five books created under one universe and somehow each one got better and better. This is rare in my opinion. But it’s also what makes him one of the stand-out authors in the community with one of the most popular series in the genre.
The monstrous details, offensive dialogue, and horrid scenes are fucking insane. But done in a way that is palatable to the reader. His character development and writing style has proven to be unmatched with his use of multiple POV’s in a unique way, which again, I rarely see pulled off as well as Bray can.
People who have come to know Paul and the other main characters of the series are in for an unhinged ride to hell and back (jk there’s no coming back from the hell that this book takes you to) that I am certain will break readers. The ending is easily one of the bleakest of any book he’s written, and any book I’ve read in general. My jaw gaped and I audibly said “what the fuck just happened?”
I’m not kidding, I went back and re-read the ending THREE fucking times because I was in absolute disbelief. Yeah… It’s like that.
As wild as I’d like to go with this review. I simply can’t. This story will shock and horrify readers. There is nothing I can say that will prepare you for how fucking unhinged things go.
Paul has been chained up in the dark basement on the pig farm for over a decade. Somone on the police force is helping his captors in keeping him there to suffer. Well Paul escapes and goes on his last rampage to see how many more maggots he can kill before his time runs out! What a fucking ending to a series!! This is one of my fav series I’ve read so far.
What an absolutely unbelievable end to one of my favourite series..... every book in this series has been off the scale, unhinged and depraved, Paul is a character I'll never forget!
I love Stuart’s writing so much and this book really put a nail in the coffin for me because I’m officially obsessed. I was speechless and the ending had me opening a beer bc wtf
This 5th book dives back into relentless violence, chaos, and moral decay, picking up with familiar faces and new horrors alike. It’s a raw, unapologetic ride that delivers exactly what fans of the series have come to expect.
It was great to see Mary Ann again—her presence brings some continuity and edge to the chaos. The pacing is relentless, and Stuart Bray clearly knows how to keep the blood pumping.
That said, this series leans heavily into the splatterpunk vibe for shock and gore more than deeper storytelling—which I’m honestly fine with. Sometimes you just want a brutal ride, and Bray always delivers exactly that.
Paul Edward Homolka is one of the most vile, reprehensible characters in modern horror, and he's back for one final installment. After surviving the events of the pig farm in book four, he's ready to unleash more suffering on anyone who crosses his path.
Paul has devolved into pure, unadulterated evil. There is no back story, no explaining away his actions. His dialogue is immoral, ungodly, and his brutal actions defy understanding. Evil for the sake of evil should make for a flat, one dimensional character, but in the hands of Bray, Homolka is a multifaceted monster, each layer of him exposing a new, horrific revelation. Getting to the end was almost a relief.
One of the best, most brutal extreme horror series on the market that makes no apologies and gives zero f*cks. This book is available now.
We've reached the end of yet another mind-bending series, and I’m still reeling from that ending. It wasn’t at all what I expected, but after marinating on it for over an hour, I can now confidently say—yes, this is exactly how it was meant to end.
If you're reading this, then you’re already familiar with Stuart’s unapologetic depravity and the lengths he goes to when crafting the most despicable characters imaginable. Every twist, every choice led to this jaw-dropping finale, leaving me ravenous for each book like a sugar-fueled child set loose at a party.
The characters, both wicked and innocent, are all essential players in this dark masterpiece. Yes, it’s disturbing at times—okay, all the time—but that’s part of its brilliance. Stuart doesn’t just revel in the gore (though there’s plenty of it); he weaves in layers of deeper meaning, turning this EXTREME HORROR into something profound. Just keep in mind, this one’s not for the faint of heart!
This series is one of my absolute favorites when it comes to horror/extreme horror! Paul came and went and came again. The full circle of this story is one I wasn't expecting and loved every bit of it. I hate to see Paul go but I loved to read him in all his decrepit glory. For the last book in the series this was the ending it needed. I enjoyed how it ended, and it didn't leave me wanting more. This series though unhinged and full of madness is one that will live with me forever. If there was any other way to end this series, I don't think it would've been as great as this was. Also, the epilogue was epic lol!
I have been waiting ever so patiently for this book since votm 4 that I finished in April. This book was well worth the wait! I don't want to spoil too much but Stuart Bray has such a talented way of tying up loose ends. This story absolutely sucks you in and you can't put the book down no matter how hard you try!
This one was probably my least favourite in the series. Everything was pretty predictable and there were SO MANY spelling mistakes. Probably the most I’ve ever seen in a book before. By far. Anyways, the content is as graphic and disturbing as the rest, I just really can’t get over how many spelling errors there were, at least one, maybe two per page. I wouldn’t recommend
3.5 stars. I wish the book would have been beta read. There are quite a few errors that easily could have been caught by a beta reader. All of the errors left me feeling like the book was rushed. The story itself was exactly what I've come to expect from the series, and I ... enjoyed(?) it.
Bray did a phenomenal job creating the Violence on the Meek series, and this installment was no different. Paul is back wreaking havoc like he does, but this time he will have to face someone from his past. It was gruesome, gory, and so well written.
3.5⭐️ a fitting end to the series. would have loved for paul and mary-ann’s reunion to have more… depth? it just felt so crucial to the story, but their scene together was rushed

Paul is back and remains as insane as he has always been in this fifth and final book in the VotM series.
If you haven't read the other titles, I urge you to do so immediately! No, seriously, do it; you will not be disappointed. In fact, you can't go wrong with any of his titles, but let me get back on track.
This story brings us to the end of the series. Oh, what a series it was. What a hell of a ride, and this ending does not disappoint. It's loud, it's vile, and it's in your face.
Paul Edward Homolka easily ranks among my favorite characters. The most evil of evil. A being that literally does not care about anyone or anything. Bray brings him to life with such intensity that the chaos draws you in and mesmerizes you.
It was a stellar ending to an amazing series. Thank you, Bray, for taking us on that journey.
