Hardcore – Elliott Murphy is an independent romp through the musical career of Elliott Murphy, the American singer-songwriter who began his career as one of the "New Dylans" (along with his friend Bruce Springsteen in 1973), moved to Paris in 1989 (where he still lives) and has recorded over 40 albums to date. In 2012 he was awarded the prestigious Medaille de Vermeil de Ville de Paris. The book also features album reviews, rare photos, exclusive interviews with Murphy, band members and his professional crew (past and present), discography including rarities and bootlegs, and a full listing of all Murphy’s bands.
Charles Pitter has written for PopMatters, Zouch magazine online, and a number of print magazines. In 2011 his poetry was nominated for a Puchcart Prize.
