I picked this up on a lark from a used book store, because... well, Tinsel and Terror. It turned out to be a modest, sweet, amateur effort from a local-ish author who I'm sure had a ball writing it.

It's a simple story that could do with a lot of pruning - the first 70 or so pages in particular have a lot of fluff that don't contribute much to the plot and could probably nearly be excised entirely. A tighter 150 page book would've worked just as well. Our title character could also have had a bit more agency driving the story forward.

But I don't want to harp on what I think are problems. It was a light read that I don't regret picking up. If you're in the market for a simple, low-stakes, low-challenge story with a cast of sweet, if thin, characters, it's worth grabbing off the shelf.
