About the author

Lee M. Cummings is the founding and senior leader of Radiant Church. Lee and his wife, Jane, started Radiant in 1996 in a high school auditorium in Richland, Michigan, a rural community in the outskirts of Kalamazoo. Since then, Radiant Church has grown to reach thousands of people in several locations. Radiant is a praying and worshiping church that is relentlessly leading people to become fully formed disciples of Jesus Christ living on mission together.

Since 2016, Lee has also served as the founder and overseer of the Radiant Network, a family of churches and leaders who share a common vision for growing the Kingdom.

Lee is the author of the highly acclaimed School of the Spirit: Living the Holy Spirit-Empowered Life and Give No Rest! A Renewed Commitment to Pursue God's Presence in Prayer and Worship in the American Church. His newest release is Take Heed, Watch & Pray: Overcoming Deception in the Last Days.

Lee and Jane currently reside in Kalamazoo. They were married in 1992 and have three grown children, two sons-in-law, and three grandchildren.

“Israel should be significant to Christians, whether Jewish or Gentile, because Israel is important to God.” This statement is the heart of this book! The knowledge in this book is so powerful. If you are a Christian and are studying the Bible, this will be a great asset to your reading and walk with Christ. We need to know about what is on the Lord’s heart and Israel always is. Especially in this time and age for a political season, Israel Matters! Would recommend this book everyone.

Pastor Lee takes an incredibly complicated topic of the Israel-Palestine war and breaks it down biblically.
In this book, it is carefully researched with back ups from history and Biblical references to show the Jewish claim to the Land and why Israel is so significant to Christianity, the Church, and prophecy.
This is such a complicated issue and many disagree, but Pastor Lee only helps affirm where Christians should stand.
It is a short, but concise book and Pastor Lee pulls no punches with the Truth.

While the book itself was short, An Overview of Why Israel Matters is an informative read that covers all categories of concern for the believer. I will need to read this again to really take in all the information. This is definitely a book I would recommend.

I really liked the book. Its brevity encourages the reader to use it as an initial resource to build upon further (hence Lee’s three pages of recommended reading at the conclusion of the book). While certain facts are presented in a partial or one-sided manner, the overarching perspective and the heart behind the book are incredible, and I highly recommend it.
