It’s all fun and games until the cowboy wants to ride away.
The most amazing guy sweeps into my life when I need him most, and I don’t want him to be the one who got away.
As a bonus, he’s extremely photogenic even if he is a bit reluctant to let me snap his picture. My engagement is through the roof whenever he shows up in my feed. Because who doesn’t love a man in Wranglers?
Did I mention that he’s adorably shy?
I’m hoping for a happily-ever-after, but then Grayson becomes more quiet than normal.
Social media will have to take a back seat while I figure out what’s wrong and how to fix it.
Because the only way I want him riding away is with both of us on that horse.

Saved by a handsome cowboy after a horse riding mishap, this meet-cute was perfectly sweet and funny. I love a great opposites attract romance, and you can't get more opposite than Daisy Templeton and Grayson West. A social media influencer constantly chasing likes and comments, Daisy is confident and outgoing. Grayson, on the other hand, is painfully shy, tending to avoid the spotlight.
I'm a sucker for a cowboy! I adored this small town, ranch setting. The side characters brought so much charm to the story, too, especially the overly flirty Dag. I need his story!
It was nice to have a truly shy hero. Grayson was incredibly romantic and thoughtful. It was precious to see him completely baffled by Daisy being attracted to him. Sometimes I think the story leaned too much into his shyness, though, particularly with Daisy continually not trusting their connection, even after multiple kisses and dates.
But overall, I enjoyed this. I'd love to try future books in this series. The characters are a lot of fun!
After binging Ms. Carringtons Never Say Never series, I was excited to see she had a new book coming out! This new series will tie in with her other two series, lots of overlapping characters and places, but stands well on its own.
Daisy is a social media influencer, a major extravert and just an overall happy person. She makes people feel good, loves trying new things and is kind. She is a fun character! Grayson is a handsome cowboy, introvert and shy! Especially around new people. Total opposites, but they are so cute together and you can see how they'd be a good fit.
I thought the conflict in this one was believable and I thought they worked well together figuring things out. Overall, a cute story and it was fun returning to this fun world Ms. Carrington has created.
Content Rated G Romance: Kissing Language: None Violence: None
This was an opposites attract as Grayson is an extremely shy but handsome ranch hand and Daisy is a social media influencer who loves the spotlight. It seems like they wouldn't mesh well but they end up being really cute together.
The beginning felt like things were rushing a little fast so I was glad when the pace slowed down and they were able to get to know each other better. I also appreciated some very relatable lol moments for Daisy though it was really hard to like her character at first as she came off a little shallow. Grayson was such a romantic and I loved all the things he did to try and fix the mistakes he made. Overall, a fun cowboy romance and I am curious about the other cowboy's stories! 3.5 stars
I received a complimentary copy of this book but a positive review was not required.
Daisy is a blogger who lives her life in the spotlight of social media. She briefly meets a handsome cowboy, Grayson, who is very shy and doesn’t stick around. The humor and sweetness will grab the reader from the start and keep their story fresh and lively. The story line is intriguing and the characters bring it alive, mostly Grayson who is easy to like. Grab your copy and enjoy the fun and laughter as Daisy tries to figure out how to keep Grayson a part of her life.
My only negative comment is that Daisy would drive me out of my mind having to record every moment in her life for her followers. But I realize there really are many like that out there. I’m sure Grayson and Daisy can work out any issues if she seriously values having him in her life.
This is an opposites attract story with strong characters in Grayson and Daisy. They have a strong chemistry and provide some laugh out loud moments as they come together. It's well written with descriptive scenes, moves fluidly and is a sweet romance.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
I enjoyed parts of this book, and there were definitely some cute moments. Daisy is a popular social media influencer who inadvertently meets Grayson during a catastrophe at a parade. She doesn’t catch his name but does snap a photo of the backside of his jeans, posting it to social media for her followers to gush over. The story starts to escalate from there as Daisy gets to know Grayson better.
I loved Grayson! He is kind, caring, such a hard worker, selfless, shy, sweet, and doesn’t like being in the spotlight. He is constantly sacrificing for others. Daisy was harder for me to like- she came accross as selfish and a bit too self-centered. I didn’t love the turn the story took, and how hard Daisy made Grayson work for something that I don’t think he was wrong for saying.
Still, there were lots of cute moments, and I absolutely loved the bonus epilogue at the end! Getting to know the ranch hands at Stargazer Springs was so fun- they are hilarious and I’m excited to read more of their stories!
*I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review
Every girl has a bit of a thing for cowboys right? Then when there is an entire ranch full of them and they are all sweet, thoughtful gentlemen? Sign me up. Who cares if it's complete fiction. Not me. Lol.
Have you ever had one of those weeks where you're frustrated and all you want to do is run far away from it all? That has been my week. Since I can't really do that, I did the next best thing. I escaped into a book and lived vicariously through the characters. It was just what the doctor ordered!
To say Daisy and Grayson are complete opposites would be an understatement. She loves the spotlight and makes a living being in it. He wants nothing to do with it and tries to stay far away from it. But with their off the charts chemistry, Grayson is finding himself having to step outside of his comfort zone just to be close to Daisy.
Y'all. There was some super swoony, funny, and sweet moments between Daisy and Grayson. I really enjoyed watching these two get to know each other and find their HEA. Grayson is just freaking fantastic and I love him! I do have to say that there was a point in the book that I was a bit frustrated with Daisy. I may or may not have wanted to shake her and say... just stop and listen for two seconds woman! Yeesh! Lol. But she did redeem herself in the end. That bonus epilogue was AMAZING!
I am SO excited for this new series! It's going to be so fun getting to know all the ranch hands that we've been getting some glimpses of. I am dying to get my hands on Tyler and Jasmine's book! Y'all. I. Can. Not. Wait!
I know I've said this so many times but y'all. If you haven't read any of Ms. Carrington's books then you are most definitely missing out! I have adored every single book I have read. There's a reason she's one of my favorite authors. I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!
As for my casting, I saw these two pretty much from the beginning and think they are perfect! What do you think?
This book was ADORABLE! I loved it so much and didn't want to stop reading it!
I related to Grayson SO much! I've always struggled with shyness, and I don't think I've ever read a story where the characters shyness mirrored mine. And it was so nice.
Daisy was adorable and she lit up the page! She was a little sunbeam and I just adore her.
Cowboy romances are quickly becoming a favorite genre of mine and I can't wait to dive into more of Remi Carrington's books!
I read this book in two days because I was so eager to have a romance marathon, I really needed after some stressful days, and I have to say that this kind of delivered. I've never read anything by this author before, so I didn't know what to expect, but this was quite cute. It's a cowboy/small town romance and it was what I craved in that moment.
I think this is the first in a spin-off series of another series by the same author, but I only read this one and I had no problem at all understading most things, it can totally be read as a standalone. This novel follows Daisy, a girl who works with social media and that shows the beauties of the area she lives in, and Grayson, a very shy cowboy who works in a ranch in a small town.
For the most part I enjoyed this story, it was very simple to follow, even though sometimes I felt like I was kind of lost for all of the names of people and love stories that I think happened in previous books. It was still easy to follow, and it did not take off anything from the main plot, but I kind of want to know everything about everyone when I read a book so that was totally on me. Also, I feel like sometimes I didn't dig too much into the main realationship. They felt attracted to each other right away, and that's completely fine, but at the same time I think they developed feelings almost right way, and I don't know if I believed them.
But this book also had some really cute parts, and like I said I'm a sucker for small town romances, so I liked to see fairs, parades, local sweets and all this kind of stuff. Also, I found myself rooting for Daisy and Grayson in the end. I think I will also check the second book in the series, because I liked the epilogue (even if I liked the epilogue of the epilogue more). I think if you like small town romances and cowboy stories, this could really be something you enjoy.
This was a light, quick read! Grayson and Daisy were complete opposites and I honestly didn’t see how they were going to work. Daisy makes her living as a social media influencer. She was a little hard to connect with because she initially came off as superficial and only concerned with posting and getting likes/comments. Then there is Grayson who is a ranch hand and incredibly shy, but super sweet and a gentleman at heart.
These two start dating after Grayson rescues Daisy from a horse riding incident, but they only seem to connect when they’re kissing. It’s not long before their perceived incompatibility causes a major fallout. But I enjoyed the way these two worked through their issues and laid things out on the table. The beginning of their relationship felt forced and rushed, so I liked that they communicated and got to know each other during the latter part of the book.
Grayson did some pretty amazing things to win Daisy’s heart. The bonus epilogue just melted my heart. I also liked how the author introduced us to the characters that will be getting their own books down the line. I’m super excited for Kent’s and Dag’s stories. I can’t wait to see how this series continues to play out.
Destiny Can’t Be Controlled - With Remi Carrington’s description about the fit of Grayson’s jeans and his reserved demeanour in the story, there is no chance you not falling in love with him. Daisy on the other hand was a social media influencer, who lived her life in the public eye. Even though they had different personalities, the connection between them was difficult to brush off and it got stronger the more time they spend together. They encounter a few bumps on their way to a happily ever after, but communication, understanding and compromising, help them find happiness together.
This is a beautifully written story, with an unexplainable attraction and passion, that is woven into a touching love story. I was dazzled throughout this addictive page turner and could stop reading once I started. I am really looking forward to reading more from this talented author, whose work I highly recommend to every avid romance reader.
I received an advanced copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
I loved this book! How this story develops is so interesting. At first I was a little annoyed with Daisy's need to post everything, as I identify so much with Grayson's reluctance to have every single thing posted on social media. But this story just gets you to understand both pov's regarding that topic, and don't even get me started on the character development both of them go through👌🏻*chef's kiss*.
I love how Grayson starts getting more comfortable with Daisy's strong personality. I love that she had her eyes on the goal and never wandered from it. Watching Grayson getting out of his shell and do all those grand gestures for Daisy was so sweet💞 their chemistry was out of this world. I just loved it! Oh! And those kisses they shared throughout the whole story🙌🏻.
Every turn of the plot, even the difficult ones, leads to an amazing wrap up💛. I love that they weren't perfect but fought for each other. Can't wait for the next book in the series.
My favorite scenes definitely involve: 🌼Goats 🌼Kittens 🌼Cowboys 🌼Dancing
Just do yourself a favor, and read this one.
🍁🍁🍁 * I was kindly gifted an ARC from the author. This doesn't influence in any form my review/opinion of the book*
I have loved this whole series of books, but I think this one is one of my favorites. You are hooked from the first word and keep reading to see what happens with Daisy and Grayson. Can just imagine the dancing cowboys video, it made me laugh. This is a book you can read over and over. It's a sweet, clean story with swoon worthy romance. I am glad to recommend this book by a very talented author.
I was given this advanced copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.
This book is the best! I knew this would be a great when blogger Daisy, shaking in her boots, hops on a horse to get pictures for her followers. Maybe don’t try to conquer a fear in the middle of a small-town Texas parade, but then again you might find a knight in dusty Wranglers. Grayson is definitely #boyfriendgoals as Daisy might say. This clean romance is one that I absolutely recommend.
Remi is a drop everything and read her books when I get them! I love this new series! Grayson and Daisy are perfect Romcom material! You won't want to miss this one filled with laugh out loud moments and sweet swoony moments!
I received an ARC from the author and all opinions are my own.
Cowboy FMC Opposites attract Small town Closed door romance
This book delivers a cozy small-town romance that feels both charming and down-to-earth. The characters are relatable, the setting is inviting, and the romance grows with an easy, natural sweetness. It’s the kind of story that wraps you in comfort and leaves you smiling.
This was a cute story. I really liked the beginning. I did think Grayson's feelings for Daisy could have been developed better. He was really put off by social media and crowds, when she loved all those things, so I would have liked more reasons he fell for her. But Daisy's side was developed pretty well. I would have liked more humor, too, since it's a romcom. But I liked the side characters a lot, and they were introduced well for their upcoming books. Overall, a quick, fun read!
Another delightful tale by Remi Carrington. I’m loving the start to this cowboy series as a take-off of the Stargazer Ranch series. This is a fun story of opposites attract, when Daisy, a professional social media maven is rescued from a runaway horse by Grayson, a very shy cowboy. Sparks fly and the rest is not history, as they struggle through their differences. I loved how Ms Carrington developed these characters, giving us insights into their personalities and what they were thinking and feeling. The friendships each had—Daisy with her girlfriends, and Grayson and his fellow cowboys was really heartwarming as they tried to navigate the rough waters their disparate personalities led them through. Watching them gain insight into themselves, as well as each other, and how together they might make a relationship work long-term was a literary gift. It was really great to see the way the other cowboys helped Grayson work through his shyness and find his way to the HEA we all knew they deserved. A really delightful read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. This is my freely given, honest review.
If there's one way to describe this book, it's 'safe and squeaky clean.' What I mean by that, is that there was no spice or even a single cuss word. The story was cute, but playing it safe like this was, isn't something I would have expected. Kinda disappointed. I guess I'm used to my rom-coms having a bit more oomph. This wasn't it.
It had some cute lines 100% but overall i wouldnt say it was worth it
First off: Character issues. Daisy is like if you mixed Piper Rockelle, Kim K, and that one chick who played Madison in AHS Coven but made her broke as a joke but also not broke as a joke? She is what is wrong with social media. And no matter what she or the author says, the way shes written sounds like she WAS infact using Grayson for views. And Grayson is this odd mix of the Batman 'im dark and brooding AHHHHH' man, the acutely self aware of his issues man, and sits in the corner scared to talk to girls man. I dont think ive ever heard someone call themselves out on being shy without coming off sounding rude or like a pick me, to put it bluntly. This however is more a writing and perception issues than a character flaw. And Grayson, among i would say Parker, Dag, and Jasmine are in my list of characters that if you take away certain aspects and leave the IDEA of them as a whole, are salvageable for sequels and bringing back these characters in general.
Second: Its insta love, yall know i hate insta love. Actually check that, i can stand insta love but this was just all the way through insta, insta, insta. From the moment they met, to the rushed through ending of them getting engaged. Side question: WHY DID HER FATHER GIVE GRAYSON HIS BLESSING SO SOON? THEY HAD BEEN DATING LIKE 4 MONTHS? The amount of *close the book* *deep breath* "what did i just read?" that gave me is astronomical
Third: Even the writing seemed like insta. Dont get me wrong the plot is amazing, but it all seems rushed and brushed over. It seems like to put it plainly: that the author (mad respect for you in gen but i need to rant im sorry, girl) is writing a clean romance for the sake of it being clean. I can get with clean small town vibes, i grew up on it. But its the way that some things like (forgive me if i mess this up i forgot alot of details because it took me 4 months to finish) Jasmines experience in the club? bar? i gotta be honest i cant remember. is brushed over. Im all for advancing the plot to make room for sequels, or just plot for plots sake, but if your writing style requires you to brush over things like trauma or drugging or even just Dags personal life, you need to find a better way to dig a hole under the subject, let the reader know vaguely what it is, and burrow back to the surface a foot away from said subject, without getting too off course or even just out of touch.
Which leads me to my Fourth complaint over all: The way the characters spoke, the time line, the placing, seemed just so 5th person. It was like i was getting scrap details from Luis in Ant Man and everybody loves Luis. I as reader in general cant imagine people very well, only places. So if you can make me imagine a person or even a whole place ive never even seen pictures or fan art of, i will give you my soul. But, because i cant imagine things well (this may just be a personal problem) little things like when characters say odd things or just dont talk normally, it makes it impossible for me to get through. The time line skips were also a problem for me because in some chapters, there would be a normal time skip with a space inbetween days, hours, whatever the period was, but in other chapters or even the same one it would be something like "Daisy was getting in the car to go to Graysons cabin. Daisy calls her mom. Her mom doesnt pick up. She reaches Graysons cabin" THIS now this part is 100% on me, but i do find slight changes like that in books jarring which doesnt help how quickly i read things.
I really did want to love this book, i loved so many little details, like the dual POVs in first person, which is so hard to find, the short chapters, even the chapters starting on the same side of the book everytime. If im completely honest the only reason i didnt DNF this book is because my friend has promised me the other books are better and much easier to read.

A sweet western romcom between a mysteriously shy cowboy and a sunshine social media influencer.
This was the second book I've read by Remi and it impressed me just as much as the first ("More Than a Blind Date")! The hero, Grayson, is just wow.... He is an incredibly handsome *stand out* man, yet despite being a total heartthrob, he is one of those guys that doesn't realize just how handsome he really is. Which makes make him all the more handsome! Grayson is incredibly shy, awkward, introverted, and doesn't like any attention on himself (which to me, just makes him all the more swoony and attractive, too). The heroine, Daisy, is just as her name suggests: all sunshine and flowers. She is the total opposite of Grayson: highly extroverted and a social media influencer.
On a personal side note, I really am not a fan of social media influencers and often cringe when that is the heroine's job title in books. I think they are just too into themselves and seem to have no regard to the devastating effects public posts can hurt/disrespect others, especially those who prefer to lead a more private and humble lifestyle. However, I thought Remi wrote a very tastefully done social media influencer and if I were to like any social media influencer, I would like Daisy. It's just hard for me to look past how much social media influencers like so much attention on themselves. You'll notice in the story, as with any social media influencer, how that can eventually cause problems, especially in the peoples' personal lives who are being plastered all over public social media outlets. That all said, I think the social media influencer part to this story really did a good job highlighting Grayson's unique shy character and how it makes him so special and more attractive than just his good looks. At first it was hard for me to understand how someone as devastatingly good looking as Grayson could be single, but his shyness is truly crippling for him and he really needed just the right girl - who happens to be called Daisy - to look past his shyness and appreciate Grayson for who he truly is and see that he really is "more than just a pair of jeans."
Oh yes, and I cannot forget about the meet cute! Utterly handsome shy cowboy too afraid to look the heroine in the face... comes to her immediate - and very public - rescue in a very dangerous situation! Ever the protector, but too shy to want any recognition or to have his name out there... just as mysteriously disappears. I think the mysteriousness of Grayson, just adds to his overall appeal. Very swoony!
I truly enjoyed reading "More Than Just a Pair of Jeans" and I think you will, too! Matter of a fact, I am enjoying reading Remi's books so much, I cannot seem to get enough of them! I'm now trying to read her entire backlist! Yes, they are just that GOOD! If you enjoy clean/sweet western cowboy romcoms with all the sizzle, chemistry, and feels, without any of the unnecessary bad language or explicit scenes - this book is just for you! Her books are well written, funny, and they will surely hold your interest!
Hmmmmmm rom-com is a new genre for me. This is only my second book, but I'm not sure it was what I was hoping for. I'm also unfamiliar with tropes, but if there's a trope for "diving in head first", I'm not sure I'm a fan. The story was cute, rather hall-markey with everyone from the ranch helping out the painfully shy guy get a girl. With only one "witchy" woman, the characters all seem too good to be, well , believable. And I know that rom-com isn't supposed to be 1000% realistic, but I love a romance that gives me butterflies along with the main character and I didn't feel that with this story. They're just too opposite for my brain to work out what their common ground is. They also never really have like a real, true, honest to goodness, spill your heart type conversation and to jump from their meet-cute to their engagement in 6 months just seems so very fast. And I oddly felt bad for shy Grayson being shamed for his desire for privacy - but I like privacy so I was on his side and couldn't really side with Daisy when she wanted him to change and accept her. When they stopped seeing each other for a few days, I thought they'd surely have a deepening to their relationship, but it didn't happen. I kept reading waiting for it, but Grayson remained the shy muscle-cowboy with a cute butt and Daisy remained a social media influencer no matter the time or day. No boundaries or middle ground....idk. I'm still open to try more rom-com, but I hope I find characters that are willing to really get a deeper feel for each other and the relationship.
A light hearted read with a story following an influencer and a cowboy, Daisy and Grayson.
Daisy, an influencer/blogger who snaps photos of everything she does, agrees to a parade for a small ranch town in Texas. After a slight mishap, she's saved by a quiet cowboy. Wanting to know everything and anything about him, she's relentless in trying to get to know who he is.
Grayson, a shy and lowkey ranch hand, ends up saving a woman who's his complete opposite and seems to be drawn to her.
The writing style and language used throughout is fun and easy to follow. The descriptions and storytelling are on point, and make the story very easy to follow.
There's many cute moments throughout the story, and the natural progression of the relationship is nice to read through. I just couldn't like Daisy as much as I felt I should, given she never once asked if she could post photos of other people on her page. The constant snapping of photos and the selfishness that comes across from this just didn't sit right with me. The fact that Grayson changed so much, entirely changing his positions with no growth from Daisy was a little odd to me. . I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I wish I loved this story, but unfortunatey, I didn't... (I will adress mall spoilers)
Don't get me wrong, I adore small town romances and I am starting to get into the whole cowboy romance era thingy, but no. This almost made me want to quit it.
I think the guy is shy? I mean, it's not as if it wasn't mentioned 248345 times in the book jeezz, we get it, HE'S SHY. Honestly, it annoyed the crap out of me. At first I thought it was charming and cute, but after reading about it multiple times in every chapter.... pfff.
Also I hated the fact that she was a social media influencer. There's nothing wrong with that, but it was in this story. I got annoyed that she had to take pictures of everything and I felt cringy the entire time she talked about posting and content and her videos etc. Again, there's nothing wrong with the FMC being an influencer, if it was done well. Now it sort of made me dislike the character tbh.
And the story was way too long in my opinion. I felt like at least 25% didn't need to be in there. I mean, she fell in love after what? 2 chapters? There was little build-up in my opinion.
If it worked for you, then great! Sadly, I didn't love it.
Cowboy romance, I'm in ! This was such a cute little fluffy romcom with the most beautiful characters. I lived through them and loved it.
The story was super cute, they are complete opposites which I really loved, they both got to help each other grow and understand their way of life. They didn't give up on their love. It was super swoon worthy, adorable and sweet. It is a clean romance that involves some kissing and I felt it was just perfect.
Carrington created some relatable characters that you cannot help but fall for. I was rooting for them all the way. Loved reading their story and their HEA !! Grayson is adoooorable. The conflict and the resolution was very realistic.
The ending and the bonus epilogue were great, I just felt it was a little rushed for me I would've wanted more.
If you're looking for a cute swoon worthy small town cowboy romcom try this one !
I have always enjoyed reading miss Carrington's books. I just love the clean emotional connection that is written and that builds in the book. Grayson is so sweet, I feel bad that he is shy but that's just him. But because he loves Daisy he was willing to go the extra mile and put himself out there for her. I just don't know how to put all this but Grayson and Daisy are beautiful together. It is sad, that there has to be a disagreement between them for Grayson to come out of his shell. Thankfully, he loves Daisy to make the effort. I loved the fact that Grayson asked her father for her hand. I'm just waiting to enjoy the other ranch hands to find love. .
