Sanguine Necropolis is a wildly immersive, post-apocalyptic LitRPG epic the kind of high-octane adventure that throws readers into a sprawling multi-verse teeming with danger, magic, and cosmic chaos.
Gideon, fresh from surviving an assassination attempt and facing enemies both mortal and godlike, drives the story with relentless intensity. Glasscock balances massive battles, universe-spanning stakes, and apocalyptic conspiracies with deeply personal emotional threads, especially his devotion to allies like Little Shira and L’Sana. The narrative moves at breakneck speed, delivering brutal challenges, dungeons, dragons, and fierce battles that make every page pulse with tension.
The book’s genius lies in its layered complexity: multi-verse politics, moral dilemmas, family betrayals, and romantic tension, all intertwined with a progression system that rewards strategic thinking, skills mastery, and character growth. The chaotic, almost celebratory tone complete with cosmic pinatas and tequila-fueled mayhem adds a unique flavor to the grimdark setting, making the action thrilling and darkly fun.
Fans of epic LitRPG, grimdark fantasy, and multi-verse adventures particularly readers of Primal Hunter or Defiance of the Fall will find Sanguine Necropolis irresistible. It’s a universe-spanning saga of violence, loyalty, love, and survival.
Series has so much potential, but refuses to use it.
We have an awesome world that we don't explore. There's an interesting power system, but our mc only gets boring detective abilities that he doesn't actually use except to fuck better. L'Sana has potential to be an awesome side character, instead every book turns her more into a 13yo's vision of a living anime fuckdoll.
Other than all of that, this book is also mostly just skippable. Dungeons need clearing, they clear some dungeons, nothing much happens except for more threats of rape and sex dungeons.
F*cking vampires, badass rescue mission 😎 After that, the book's kind of a blur for me 😬😕 I just wasn't able to focus and follow ☹️ The book really needs to hold my attention.
