Transmigrated to another world and forced to live as “Karen,” Ichika is frustrated about her sister, the saint who stole her identity. But when she saves her fiancée Noah from a curse, it’s revealed that she is a saint as well! Now, armed with knowledge of the magic she wields, Ichika takes on a job to purify a river together with Noah. As the two grow closer even through bickering, Ichika discovers a whole new power residing within her…
Oh, this series continues to be delicious to read!!
Maybe that's a weird way to say you've enjoyed a really good book, but I can't think of any other way to word it because goodness, THE FEELS! The creator knows EXACTLY what she is doing concerning Ichika getting closer to both of our guys and how even my own heart is struggling with which guy to choose for her!
HOWEVER!
I'm pretty sure Noah captivated my heart in this volume with the kindness he showed to Ichika. Is he still grumpy and prickly? For sure, BUT! There were moments (like him teaching her magic) that really showed more of his character and that he isn't as uncaring as he seems. I really really loved it!
Though my heart still really likes Cecil. *hides* There is such a princely aura to him and with him being such a gentleman, it's hard for my heart not to swoon a little bit. LOL!
I am VERY curious as to what's going to happen next because what a cliffhanger! Ichika is definitely growing closer to the guys, but she and Karen still seem to have an icy relationship that keeps getting colder and colder thanks to Karen...
Saying that though, let's rewind for a moment! That opening chapter dropped a bomb of information on who the culprit is for the "bad things" happening and I am NOT happy about it. I'm actually very interested in seeing if my feelings toward Karen will change at all and if she herself will change as the series goes on.
Overall, this was definitely a worthy sequel to volume one and I'm so excited to read more! The art and story are wonderful and know I'll be devouring the next volume ASAP!
Really liking this one, and wish there were more translated chapters out there! The art is great, and I'm enjoying the overall plot. Can't wait for more!
I haven't read many isekai yet so take this with a grain of salt, but the basic premise and opening chapters seem very generic. The first couple of chapters are extremely fast paced and it seems the story can't really be bothered with all the whys and hows of traveling to another world, it's as if it simply wants to jump straight into the action of the other world. And in a way, that's ok - I take it this formula is common enough that most wouldn't even care to read too much about it. As a fairly new reader of this genre, I did feel like the introduction of our main character Ichika, her sister Karen and the mirror she uses to speak to a boy in another world went by extremely fast. There was little to no build up and the next thing we know Karen has already disappeared into the other world and a mere few pages later we skip a year and Ichika also finds herself in the other world.
It's only around there that the plot slows down and we get introduced to the world and characters. In the year that she's been gone, Karen has essentially usurped Ichika's identity. She is about as nasty as you can get and it is yet unclear if something changed her or whether she's always been such a resentful character. In any case, she forces the real Ichika to live as Karen, so both have essentially reversed roles in this other world. But the real Ichika is a much more pleasant character and other characters around them pick up on that too.
Despite the extremely rushed opening and fairly simple premise, I did end up enjoying it and can see it taking an interesting turn. There are a few hints and reveals that show there's more than first meets the eye and I'm looking forward to see what political and court intrigue lie ahead. It's also very much worth noting that he art is very pretty.
Still not in either of the guys (Cecil seems kind but he needs to get out of Karen's (the real one) influence and Noah seems to have some kind moments but he is still an ass). But I love how Ichika keeps going, tries her best, wants to do more. I hope she figures things out, I am definitely rooting for her to get used to this world, and her new name. I hope that she gets a chance to tell the truth (as her sister is not going to do that, what a bitch). Plus, I wonder if it was really Cecil she talked to... or was it Noah? Given that Cecil didn't remember that key part I wonder. Or Cecil could just have memory loss, also a typical trope, haha.
I'm two volumes in and it's bugging me that Ichika isn't putting any effort into figuring out how to get the truth about her and Karen's identities out. I also suspect that Noah is really the Cecil she spoke to through the mirror, but we shall see. Either way, I'm enjoying the story, and I need to check to see if there's also light novels because there are some things lacking that I hope to get more info on.
Noah was WAY more of an asshole in this one with very few redeeming moments....Cecil is just confusing....and Karen is so frustrating I want to punch her face LOL. Ichika is the only good character so far and even then, she didn't have much character development in this one. I will try one more volume before I give up

The Queen seems up to no good…Still left wondering what all is going on with her sister. Hopefully we find out more on their trip together on the next one!
AMAZING!!!! Plz read this series if you’re into villainess/princess isekai! The MC isn’t a villainess, but it does have those qualities in it. Overall 10/10, would recommend!!
