A scorching new season of primetime television’s hottest matchmaking show is back A new suitor, a mansion full of cameras, and twelve women ready to risk it all for a chance to fall in love with America’s most eligible bachelor.
Sebastian Riggs is just another charming, handsome dime-a-dozen rich guy on The Final Rose with a role to play.
My part? Simple enough, produce the show, pull another hit season out of my sleeves and somehow get the promotion I’ve been working for.
Except, he’s looking at me like I’m the most interesting thing in this house. I try to keep my head down and do my job but my heart skips a beat every time we’re alone.
He’s dating other women.
But he holds the final rose for me.
If you’re gonna make the biggest mistake of your life, why not do it televised, for all to see?
The Final Rose is a contemporary romance set in a reality TV show. Perfect for fans of The Charm Offensive and the TV Show UnREal.
Amy Oliveira is a contemporary romance author dedicated to write about the two things you shouldn't skip: therapy and smut. Amy's leads are strong, flawed, and very open about their mental health struggles. And her heros are understanding, lovable, and often pierced. The combination results in a delicious slow burn with a lot of heart and a lot of heat.
got this in a Probably Smut subscription box and gave it a go ✨ flew thru it so fast, found it to be an average romance
forbidden romance 🥂 - reality show star x producer - words of affirmation!!! - british “billionaire” 💸
cliche and cheesy at times but if ur looking for a short, fast paced Bachelor inspired romance with a fairytale ending then id recommend checking it out!
I'm giving this 3 stars. Also, I JUST finished this, so rating is subject to changes or constant edits. Just mind your business 🤸🏽
I really liked the concept for this. It's about a field producer of a reality TV show and the main guy in this show. The idea iss fantastic and with the popularity of shows like Love Island, Too Hot to Handle and whatever other shows out there about this, I can't see this concept not being done more in the future. I do have some complaints, though.
One of them is that this is focused on a TV show, but while a lot of this aspect is shown, also a lot isn't? In the end, a few things are commented, like the moment when Callie (the FMC) heard the MMC saying something silly through her earpiece and laughed, but I can't recall that scene actually happening in the book. Plus, this show was recorded through months and months, so I feel like it should've been longer to show more about it, especially for it being a not common sort of setting. I would like just to have more reality TV related stuff.
The characters were also part of what didn't make me as happy about the book. When we think about the main characters, Callie and Sebastian (guys I forgot his name but I think I'm right), they are fine. They are super witty and I love their banter, and the only thing that got me annoyed was Callie being CONSTANTLY like "I'm a latina, so...", "I'm Colombian, so..." or "I'm a Sosa and Sosas..." like her personality was mostly centered in culture. But the side characters lacked a bit. I was halfway through and I could not identify who was who easily. It even happened of me not being able if someone was the person that showed up and did this or not because of that confusion.
My biggest nit-picks with the story were the ones mentioned above. For smaller ones there is that Sebastian (MMC) was banking on Callie's (FMC) brothers showing her something when he actually had no reason to trust that they actually would. It just made me think "?? you don't even know them. shut up" instead of "of course they will" because I, as someone that had actual insights to Callie's mind, didn't know enough about them to know if they would do something or not, so how I could I bank on that possibility? And also that I wish the "villain" was someone we actually met just to have more drama.
For things I did enjoy: the family dynamic. It only happens in the last 10 percent of the book, but I LOVED the Sosas. I also loved Maverick. He was so fun that I wish there was more of him. I also loved the romance and the banter. It was cute.
This was such a cute and fun read with fast pacing. Loved ever freaking thing about this book. Cover of the book? Cute. Plot? Predictable yet amazing. Characters? Such mature and romantic people hehe🤭🤭. Chemistry? Off the charts🥵✨. Banter? The best part imo. Do I still need to say more!!!!!!!! You'll love this book (just like me) if you like workplace romcom with British golden retriever MMC x Latina grumpy FMC. Highly recommend!!!!!!
Like a sneak peak at the backstage and planning for reality dating show, and eligible bachelor a British hottie with a fiery Latina producer….. I thought it was going to be too Hallmark which ok yes fluff but it was really cute. Good spice, only a little bit pretty good.

••••••• Let me just say this book was nowhere on my radar and without @probablysmutbookclub I probably would’ve missed out on this sexy, sweet, fun little contemporary romance.
Callie and Sebastian were amazing MCs. They were perfectly flawed, well developed, and genuinely likable characters in a less than ideal situation. Callie fought tooth and nail to resist the charming Englishman but his hot pursuit landed them in the pantry (literally 🥵). And once these two succumbed to their attraction, they couldn’t hold back.
Yea, there’s some drama that made my heart hurt but it worked with the story. It needed to happen. And then the sweeping gesture from Sebastian? I FLOVED it.
I didn’t go into this one with the highest expectations just because I had no expectations since I barely read the blurb and I’ve never read the author. Needless to say, this author is now on my list and I can’t wait to see what else she gives us!

“It wasn’t just one moment, but all of them. I fell in love with each part of you, and I’m still falling. Every day, I’m thankful I get to fall in love with you again.”
I’m not super crazy about instalove but this book was cute! I loved the concept and it was a really quick read. If you’re a fan of the bachelor then you should definitely read this book!
Tropes: 🌹Forbidden Love 🌹Workplace Romance 🌹Instalove
I have a strong dislike for reality TV shows yet for some reason I adore books that use these as a vehicle for MCs meeting each other. Oliveira's story and characters are another fantastic example of this.
Wealthy British bachelor Sebastian Riggs has decided to find love on the set of "Love Makeover". He does, but instead of sparks flying with one of the contestants - he's immediately drawn to producer Callie Sosa. This is told from alternating perspectives and I love how consistent and clear Oliveira's writing is in differentiating the views for each chapter.
This was a great mix of humor, zing, tension, romance, sex, and trying to figure out a future together. Sebastian and Callie have great chemistry in and out of the bedroom (or pantry!). I love their witty banter and how they keep each other in check. There's also some terrific secondary characters here.
Lovely read and I'm looking forward to more of Oliveira's work.
Note: I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that there are enough editing errors in the book to repeatedly disrupt the flow. Mostly using the wrong word (stir instead of steer, snickers for sneakers, etc.) but also tense and missing words altogether. An editor or minimally a beta reader would be a good idea. This is such a gem and a little more polishing would make it shine.
“Sebastian is a god among men. He’s perfect from every angle, every pose.” DNF at 65%. My hopes were high for this one as a on and off bachelor watcher & reality tv binger but this was not for me. The premise reminded me a lot of the show UnReal which I thought had a more interesting & gritty take on behind the scenes reality producing. Curious that the eligible on season one of that show was British as well if I’m not mistaken. Speaking of tv show influence the names were def giving greys…Calliope? Riggs? Honestly all I could picture was them. I think the most pivotal mistake for me was the instalove. They have one convo and Callie is already second guessing her career. “What I’m saying is they reality TV isn’t for everyone. I think love can be found anywhere, Riggs. There isn’t a map or a foolproof way. Being a fool probably helps a little. It can happen to anyone at any time. You’re going down the street one day, and BAM.” “Love hits?” “Like lightning.” Guess the instalove is just bam like lightning. Omg the spiiiice. I’m all for a slow burn but they love each other by page 60 and have to wait unto 60% for it?!!!! And okay the pantry scene scenario was hot though…

For fans of the Bachelor and Love Island, the Final Rose takes a peek behind the scenes of reality TV.
I don't watch much reality TV, but get the feeling these crazy hijinks and plots do really happen, and this book proves theres practically just as much drama happening behind the scenes as there is in front of the camera.
It's another season of The Final Rose, and this time, the bachelor is none other than Sebastian Riggs. He is a well known British bachelor and here he is in the states- looking for true love- on a reality show. His friends and family think he's nuts.
I love Callie, our FMC. She's really independent and smart- great at her job and never sees her attraction to Sebastian coming. She's too busy to deal with anything love related unless it is this show- but this is a rom-com, and so we have some workplace/ forbidden love vibes flowing.
This was cute, and felt like a hallmark movie on paper. I especially LOVE the Probably Smut edition I received in my book subscription, the cover is adorable!
Although I’m not a regular viewer of The Bachelor, this book completely won me over with its charm, humor, and heartfelt storytelling. The premise was irresistibly fun, and I was genuinely tempted to check out the show after finishing it! Callie and Sebastian were an absolute delight, perfectly matched and emotionally compelling. Callie, in particular, felt incredibly relatable, and I was rooting for her every step of the way. Her journey to finding love was sweet and sincere, and she left me with a whole heart. ♥️
I want to preface this by saying I am not a fan of dating shows. They're not my thing and I find them ridiculous.
When ProbablySmut announced this as their January pick, I was hesitant. BUT then I saw their cover and was immediately drawn to it. You know that funny saying about judging books by their cover? Well...
The cover was adorable and so was this book.
The plot was, as predicted, predictable...but really cute. Cheesy at times, but still so cute. I think for the premise of an "Eligible Bachelor falls for the Show's Producer" with around 250 pages, I'd expect nothing but cheesy and cuteness.
It did take me a minute to get into (and I think that’s mostly because of the setting) but then I found myself really wanting to know how these two were gonna manage to get together.
This was such a fun palette cleanser and such a quick read! Definitely perfect if you want something lighthearted.
Our MCS were also, for a lack of better words, cute. Sebastian and Callie are two people who didn't expect to fall for each other but naturally, they do. Sebastian joins the dating show to find love but he does so in the ways he least expects. Honestly, I was rooting for them.
Did we get some epic romantic development? No. Character development? Not really. Did we get some sneaking around and drama? Absolutely.
I'm rating this the way I did based solely on entertainment and not how it's actually written.
For a really quick and playful read, I'd recommend. If you are a lover of all things dating shows/competitions then you'll love this.
This was my second bachelor inspired contemporary romance and I didn’t like it nearly as much as my first. It was a cute book but it was predictable and cheesy. I did enjoy the Latino representation. I got this book as part of my Probably Smut monthly book box.
Callie is a field producer on the long-running Bachelor-style show, The Final Rose. She’s a true believer in love and genuinely thinks the show’s formula can work—until the new Eligible (aka Bachelor arrives and flips her world upside down. Their instant spark and undeniable chemistry make her question everything: the show, her career, and even her future. I absolutely loved this story. I’m a sucker for a workplace/forbidden romance, and when you mix that with behind-the-scenes drama from a TV show, you’ve got one of my favorite tropes. I’m not even a fan of The Bachelor franchise, but I devoured this book. The banter? Perfection. I’m obsessed with quick, dry wit, and The Final Rose absolutely delivered. I finished this book in just one day because I had to see these two find their way to each other. If you love sizzling, lighthearted romances packed with sharp banter and wit, this book is a must-read!
᪥ Bachelor Style Reality Show ᪥ British MMC ᪥ Producer x Bachelor ᪥ Workplace Romance/Forbidden ᪥ Dual POV
If you like The Bachelor & you’re looking for a quick read with some steamy moments & a fairytale ending, this is probably the book for you!
The idea for this book was cute, with the producer and the “Eligible” falling for each other. It felt very fan-fic meets hallmark (which isn’t for me, but might be for you!)
I felt the characters, though they had cute banter, really lacked chemistry. I find where most of their interactions were just dialogue or *ahem* intimate times, the relationship could have been more believable by establishing some sweet moments between the two before moving into each other’s beds. Or pantries. So to speak.
A few more thoughts: I think in general the plot could have used some more tension. Like maybe the girls could have been catty and jealous of Callie, and maybe the stakes could have been a bit higher for Callie losing her job. Just a little tension to add to the “will they won’t they” aspect and make it seem a little more off limits or difficult for them to be together.
Once last thing: I received the Probably Smut edition of this book and can I just say!! The cover art is SO GOOD. I am obsessed with it!!
You know what? This was nice. Nothing to really write home about, but still nice.
I have reservations about Bachelore set ups. The characters always put so much emphasis on finding true love in a pool of 12 candidates and we all know that's ridiculous.
This, does do that, but it also has banter, some sweetness, and it's an easy read.
She's short and spunky Latina, he's tall and sarcastic and British. The characters don't really have depth but that's not the goal here, I don't think.
I genuinely thought this was going to be a closed door romance but then 60% mark, we get some pantry fucking so, you're covered there lol.
It reminded me a bit of True Love Experiment, but concise. I'm not mad about it.
"To all of you silly enough to believe In a meet-cute In the perfect kiss In romance books. It’s okay. I believe it too."
i adore this book so much!! i love the cover of this book...
Sebastian Riggs is a wealthy British bachelor, he decided to find love on the set on "Love Makeover!" He didnt have any sparks flying with one of the contestants but he is immediately drawn to the producer Callie Sosa.
This book was supposed to be like the show The Bachelor but “behind the scenes”. However I feel like this book was a rip off of the show Unreal (it’s currently on Netflix) the story line is identical. The spice was minimal. I feel like I would’ve enjoyed the book had I felt like she didn’t just copy this show and put it in a book 🤷🏽♀️
3.5 stars it was super cute, quick read. Fans of the bachelor will love this! Spicy scenes were great and not over the top. Good book to cuddle up with over the weekend!
I loved this so much! My first PS Book Club read, and they choose a great one to start 2025 off with!
I never really watched shows like the bachelorette or the bachelor, but I am a fan of reality tv shows, especially the relationship ones. But this book was so cute and the way she wrote for Sebastain to take the show in a new route from what it's normally done as was cute you don't see that often. Never thought I would swoon over a British man till now. I fell in love with their banter and how he non-stop thought about Callie, he really changed the game for reality TV. I also love seeing like the behind the scenes for the reality shows especially ones where they meet and then end up marrying or just continuing to date till, they are ready. I hate that it's sometimes about the status of who's in favor by the fans and not of the ones favored by the single guy/girl there, so choosing is not only for yourself but for the sake of the people watching at home.
Assistant producer Callie is ready to move up the ranks in the reality television show universe and is excited to begin work on another season of The Final Rose (a Bachelor-esque show). But when she's instantly attracted to the new lead, Sebastian, and their chemistry seems off the charts upon meeting, she has to decide whether to follow her heart and risk or job or continue grinding for the dream opportunity she's been working toward.
I love reality television romances, particularly ones set in dating show universes. Indeed, I have a whole Goodreads shelf dedicated to this trope. So I was VERY excited to read this book. Unfortunately, it didn't end up being my cup of tea. For starters, the ending seems extremely similar to another book I've read before (Winning Mr. Wrong? The Charm Offensive? I can't recall, now...). It was also very, very instalust. I'm all for our two characters hooking up whenever they want to, as early as they want to, but then I need their connection to progress at some point throughout the story. In this book, Sebastian and Callie seemed so into each other, and while she may have learned about him from her role as a producer, interviewing him, I don't think he knew a single fact about her other than that she was hot and they laughed together. That is a great start for a relationship, but instead of building the connection, the book steamrolled ahead to (undiscussed, unprotected) hooking up, sacrificing Callie's career, and an engagement in rapid succession.
Thanks to Love Notes PR for my eARC! All thoughts and opinions are my own.
What a fun quick read! Bachelor style setting but with a hot man with an accent? Yes please!
“Our back and forth is so quick, I know no one would follow. I feel alive under my skin, my fingers tingling as I try hard not to open a beaming smile for the woman in front of me. Her eyes dart across my face. Her mouth curves just a little, but quickly, she bites her lip and puts a stop to it.”
“Of all the beautiful people in Los Angeles, I can’t believe this London boy is the one who flusters me.” 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5
Sebastian Riggs is this years Eligible on the Final Rose and Callie is his producer. Sebastian and Callie have such good chemistry together right out of the gate, fun bantering and smack talk. Callie is even comfortable enough to pinch him which made me giggle. They have this forbidden aspect; he’s on the show looking for love between one of twelve contestants and she is supposed to remain in the background, never crossing any boundaries.
“Are you going to be quiet?” I should say no. I can’t be quiet. I can’t be still. I want to scream, moan, and move around. I want to fall apart in his arms. But I nod my head quickly, his hand still over my mouth, knowing my promise means nothing. And then, he buries himself to the hilt. “Shh, quiet. Don’t say a word, Calliope.” And when I nod again, he praises me, “That’s my girl.”
✨The Final Rose by Amy Oliveira is an absolute gem of a story that perfectly blends romance, humor, and heartfelt emotion. Set against the glamorous yet chaotic world of a reality dating show.🌹
Callie is brilliantly written—relatable, witty, and full of depth💕. Her journey of self-discovery amidst the drama and pressure of the show is both empowering and captivating.🥹Sebastian, my man is such an amazing character! He showed such emotion when came to true love and showed endless love when it came Callie. Ugh warms my heart!❤️🩹 Their chemistry and tension between Sebastian and Callie was undeniable!🥵
💖The side characters is equally dynamic, with each character adding layers of charm, and humor to the story. The balance between laugh-out-loud moments and tender emotional beats is masterful, making the story impossible to put down.🤭
⭐️The Final Rose is more than just a romance—it’s a celebration of individuality, strength, and finding love on your own terms. A must-read for anyone who loves a story that’s smart, funny, and full of heart. Highly recommended!🙌🏽
Thank you to the Author Amy Oliveira and LoveNotesPR for the opportunity to reads this ARC!
This was my first book by this author, and I had such a good time with it!
I loved the forbidden nature of Sebastian and Callie's relationship (she is a producer on the reality TV show that he is the lead on – think "The Bachelor"), and I was so pleasantly surprised that there was no other woman drama in this book at all. Instead the time is dedicated to furthering Callie and Sebastian's connection, which I really appreciated, and the book flowed so well because of that. I read this super quickly, which is a rarity for me these days with eBooks.
Also, props to the author for the portrayal of a British hero! So often the accent/mannerisms are overdone or inaccurate, and that wasn't the case here at all.
The only complaint I had was that I think this could have done with another copy edit to iron out some awkward passages and help with the flow of writing. (Side note, if the author is reading this, I've been a copy editor/proofreader for over 5 years and I would absolutely love to work with you on this and future projects – let me know!)
I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This doesn't affect my review of the book at all, and all opinions are my own!
A reality show where the producer falls for this season's bachelor? The bachelor is looking for love but finds it outside of the contestants. Will they last?
Overall, it's a quick, fun read. Sebastian was his true self around Callie, and they developed a friendship that turned into more. They had to go through issues if they got caught Callie's career being affected and Sebastian's contract for the show. The "breakup" was not my favorite. However, the ending of the season and how Sebastian went about with his grand gesture made up for the breakup.

When I signed up for this ARC, I had very high hopes because the blurb I read sounded promising… let me say that this book went WAYYYY above my expectations!! Amy Oliveira the author you are 🥹🥹. I can’t find the right words to explain the feelings I felt while reading The Final Rose - the chemistry, writing, and character development?!?! Unreal. This is definitely in my top 10 books I’ve ever read (and probably better than a lot of booktok books I’ve read). Thank you to Amy Oliveira and Love Notes PR for the opportunity to ARC read The Final Rose! ❤️
The Final Rise by Amy Oliveira is such a cute and quick Bachelor-style romance! While the plot was predictable, the charm of the book lay in the banter between Sebastian and Callie—I absolutely adored their dynamic. Their chemistry kept me engaged, making this a perfect Kindle Unlimited palette cleanser with just the right amount of spice. If you’re in the mood for something fun and light with a reality TV twist, this one is worth the read!
