“Not everything that comes out of Hell is necessarily evil. Think of them as… overzealous pranksters.”
Having reread this in preparation for book two, I am very pleased I did, as this book is quite multifaceted.
I stand by my initial review, and it is undoubtedly a five-star read. While it may not appeal to everyone, those who get it, GETS IT. @JCORNELIUS writing drew me in, curious to find out what's going on in Daryl's head, is it real is it all a fiction of his imagination, or the ramblings of a mad man?
initial review
The author's captivating writing style immediately drew me in. The introduction of Daryl, recounting his memories of pain, death, and awakening in an asylum, sparks immediate curiosity and compels further reading.
The inclusion of demonic visions reflected in mirrors and other surfaces brilliantly blurs the lines between reality and illusion.
The characters are exceptionally well-developed. This novel masterfully blends mystery, magic, suspense, and supernatural elements, encompassing demons, gods, angels, and more.
Remembering Demons is a thrilling, suspenseful, paranormal mystery that masterfully blends confusion, madness, and psychosis, all to captivating effect. This fast-paced narrative consistently maintains suspense, ensuring the reader remains engaged until the very end.
It was a truly exceptional read.
