I never meant to hurt anyone, but my naive actions forced my best friend away and into the alpha and omega province, Odessa. I didn’t understand the gravity of my actions as a young and impulsive beta, but years later, I saw how wrong I was.
A second chance meeting with Raider brought me back to our time as teenage kids, and I couldn’t refuse the nudge that fate was giving me. I followed his lead, taking my first steps into their hemmed-in world, greeting his packmates, Sevyn and Badden, with a sense of shock and awe.
The life they built here was inspiring. The work they did for the cameras, showcasing love and longing in the passionate heat, was mystifying.
But it was the way they cared for one another, and the care I felt from others in Odessa, that truly made me wonder why we cast them out like monsters who couldn’t control their emotions or pheromones. Something cruel I now saw as the lie it was.
Do I find my place by their side, shirking my previous passion for a new adventure, or do I go on with my life outside these walls, snapping their reluctant trust and hurting them more than I had ever hurt someone before?
Scents of Exposure is a multi-POV, standalone omegaverse centered around complicated pack dynamics, a society that places majority-beta culture first, and making amends with the past.
You'll fall in love with this AAOB/MMMF sweet, contemporary Omegaverse with our leading men getting a little love on camera and our star working her magic to light up their world.
Colbie is a night owl with a love of iced coffee, soft blankets, her golden retrievers, and steamy romance. You can probably find her with her music too loud and hair a little messy somewhere in the Rocky Mountain region.
This was an amazing & well laid out book. The length of the book was perfect for organic character growth & development, as well as dynamic changes & resolutions. I personally dislike RH/Poly books with less than 300 pages because it doesn't feel like enough time to get to really know & experience the characters, so to me, the length of this book was a treat. This books OV is a little different than your typical OV's in a few ways; betas are on top & A/O face discrimination & segregation (even to the point of being ripped from their families & shipped off to an A/O community), an omegas 1st heat only comes when they feel totally safe & secure in their environment, and bonds can only be made during a heat & when the omega bites first. The characters: We start out with Novah, who is repentant but not a doormat - she will stand up for herself. We also get Raider, who is jaded (rightfully so), reluctant, and just plain mean at times, haha. Then we have Badden, sweet, sweet pack alpha Badden who falls quickly & just wants to take care of everyone. And last but not least, we have Sevyn, a poor sweet ball of anxiety & insecurities (I can relate). They all get to grow & change throughout the novel, Raider the most, acknowledging his flaws & needs for control, as well as the weight forgiveness can take off of you. Novah, I'd say second most because she is learning a mostly whole new world, having been separate from A/O dynamics her whole life. Even Sevyn comes out of his shell. I'd say Badden grew the least, but that's because he didn't need to grow, he was already perfect (sniffs). All in all, it was a wonderful read that makes you feel good inside. Completely well explored feelings, emotions, and relationships; as a reader, you are not left wanting. And the end was extremely satisfying, the kind of satisfying that leaves a smug little smirk on your lips. 20/10, can't wait for the next book.
The dynamics between Alphas, Omegas & Betas is quite different from the main AOB books out there which was really interesting. Feeling inferior in their designations of A&O brings a sense of closeness and community into their world as the majority of theirs is ruled/controlled by Betas. Novah & Raider have history that left both struggling with their relationship. The main sideplot deals with aspects of adult filming which was a curveballs I didn't see coming but makes sense when thinking of how Raider, Badden & Sevyn want to make it with the limited resources they have. The teamwork and acceptance from Badden & Sevyn was great. The chemistry & tension that bubbles over during Sevyns heat 🥵. Glad Raider finally got out of his rear and they ultimately all mated. Excited for Elevvens book.
Do you want a fresh take on omegaverse? Look no further Scents of Exposer is what you need! This book was so fun and diffrent from other ABO romances. For starters nothing is stereotypical. Don't go into this book with preconceived notions about what it means to be alpha beta or omega. The world is diffrent but still in a modern era.
Novah, Sevyn, Badden, and Raider are soooooo relatable. The spice is sweet, the struggle is real, and the growth is beautiful. I can't wait to see what other books come from Colbies Omegavers🤩
This is an excellent debut Omegaverse. This author puts their own spin on the typical ABO dynamic and brings a fresh story full of conflict, personal growth, and love. Also, let’s not forget the spice because it is very well written and leaves the reader thirsty for more. The world that is built in this first book is going to be fun to play in the future and I cannot wait for the next book!
This is a second chance omegaverse romance. The ABO dynamics were different than your usual ABO. The storyline has amazing build in chemistry, relationships and world building. The characters are relatable but it did take a bit for me to connect with Novah. The pace at the beginning was a bit slow but overall the story is well written and made for an entertaining read.
I loved this book❤️ I really enjoyed the dynamic of the pack and the inclusion of Chase. seeing Raider overcome his past and hatred was so heart warming. Also, their career choice🌶🌶
I've never read an omegaverse where the alphaz were kind of looked down upon and it was an interesting dynamic.
4.5🌟 3.5🌶
