Presley Williams is a beautiful and resilient young woman who inherited the reins to her family’s wildly successful timber company. She works hard and loves even harder, taking life as it comes with help from her faithful pit bull and her best friends who are more like family. When a Hollywood production moves into her small Pacific Northwest town, Presley’s quiet routine starts to take unexpected turns as she catches the eye of hunky acting sensation and chronic playboy, Trent Hayes. While Presley and Trent take a leap of faith into the unknown, it becomes clear that not everyone is so eager for the stars to align for their budding romance. If you love a good romance book with fun and relatable characters, witty banter, a unique plot line and a dash of thriller - you’ll love Starstruck.
Small town, suspense, chosen family, celebrity, and more!
Tropes: + Small town + Celebrity + Millionaire + Boss babe + Chosen family + Loyal pup companion + Romantic suspense + Sorry, no more spoilers 😂
My friend gave me this book, saying I HAD to read it, and I'm so happy that I took that advice. Yes, this is the premier novel for this author, but Baley Noal's writing is fantastic and pulls you in to the story. (And it's clear that she had an editor because the grammar and all those behind-the-scenes things look pristine!)
FMC Presley is super down to earth and relatable, goes with the flow, is kind and compassionate, and it's clear why everyone loves her. Maybe some even love her too much... ROMANTIC SUSPENSE! Presley is written thoughtfully and her character is warm and wonderful. Plus she's a boss babe CEO queen who gets stuff done, respect.
MMC Trent is a swoon-worthy book boyfriend. There's that fantastic tension building in the beginning of the will-they-won't-they slow burn and the chemistry that Baley Noal writes is off the charts! And the BANTER! Oh, lawd! MMC Trent is an alpha male who has a sense of humor, yum! Please believe that this book definitely heats up and brings on the SPICE!
The chosen family aspect of the story is GOLD! The dialogue among the group is hilarious and makes you want to be a part of their sweet little found family.
The story starts cute and clean with a Hallmark movie feel (and I freaking LOVE Hallmark movies) and then starts to twist and vine and spike into a suspenseful web, giving multiple POVs and insight into the DRAMA and I am living for it! Expect to be shocked and then completely unable to put the book down because you HAVE TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS BECAUSE OMG WHAT IS BALEY NOAL DOING TO US?!
Seriously, this book is fantastic and keeps you hooked. Give this debut novel a try, and you won't be sorry!
(Also, the formatting of this book is so stinking CUTE! It's obvious author Baley Noal took this novel seriously and made sure it had a great team behind it making it look beautiful. It seems like it should be some sort of special edition or something... And it has TEXT MESSAGES and EMOJIS, y'all! Adorbs! Very polished and professional, and the dedication and acknowledgement pages in the voice of the author made me giggle!)
Starstruck, written by one of my high school bests, is a whole vibe and such a fun story!
Her name is Presley Williams and she has inherited her family’s logging company. His name is Trent Hayes and he’s Hollywood’s go-to action star working on his first horror film, which coincidentally is being filmed at Presley’s gorgeous lakeside country house nestled in the heart of the Washington state Olympic Mountains. Complete with a full on obsessive CREEP who tries to thwart their relationship at every turn, this story was a wonderful mix of suspense and romance. My favorite characters? Hands down Presley’s best friend Jake and her lovable beast of a pitbull, Baron or “Bare” as she calls him.
Presley (FMC) is so adorable and relatable! Loved seeing her life in a small PNW logging town. And of course her beloved dog, Baron was such an added fun element to this story. Trent Hayes (MMC) is the ultimate book boyfriend and absolutely love everything he does for her. Their chemistry and connection feels so natural and I enjoyed reading about them so much. The thriller aspect to this book really gives it that extra UMPH that made me not want to put the book down so I can figure out what’s happening next. And that ENDING?!?! Are you kidding!!!! Dying for book 2 and I cannot wait to read it!!
I feel like the concept of this book could have played out better. I believe not even 100 pages in, you get a plot twist that I was excited to see pan out since it came so fast. But the whole middle of the book felt like I was reading the same kind of motions. The same motion over and over again with no real character development between the couple. Then, less than 50 pages to the end you get a huge event that happens to Presley but it’s all so fast paced, that it’s just suddenly over. I gave 2 stars cuz the plot was great, just needed more sustenance.
Would highly recommend this book! This book had me fully consumed. I think I went through every emotion possible while reading this. The way this author describes things in such detail had me feeling like I was actually in the book experiencing it all. Absolutely amazing! 🤩 Consider me Starstruck!✨💕✨
THIS WAS SO GOOD! I can’t stop thinking about the characters. I loved the relationships, witty banter, and romance. I am not usually a big thriller fan but it was exciting, not drawn out too long and the emotions were so real. CAN’T WAIT FOR BOOK TWO!!!!!
You will not be able to put it down. If you’re from the Pacific Northwest you will literally feel like you’re in the book. Presley and Trent are amazing and I was glued to the characters. Please give this one a chance ! Definitely giving this one 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Starstruck is a captivating read set in the picturesque Pacific Northwest, where the vivid descriptions of both the characters and the landscape immediately drew me in. From the very beginning, I felt like I knew the characters on a personal level—their personalities were so well-crafted that I could easily visualize them and feel their emotions.
The plot is equally impressive. As the story unfolded, it became increasingly impossible to put the book down. The pacing was perfect, with each chapter building momentum toward a well-thought-out and satisfying conclusion. By the time I reached the final chapters, I was hooked, eager to see how it all came together.
The author's attention to detail made it easy for me to picture the characters, scenery and let's not forget Baron, the forever loyal and protective companion. Baron added a layer of security to the story and their bond was felt.
Overall, Starstruck is a beautifully written and engaging novel with strong character development, an immersive setting, and a plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I would highly recommend it to readers who enjoy character-driven stories with a touch of mystery and adventure.
I'm incredibly proud of Baley for pursing her dream. It's so inspiring to see you follow your passion and your dedication in all you do has truly paid off!
Loved this book so much! This romance thriller ish really captures all the feels for the characters and scenery. This was written so well and is one of my favorite books.
