My Times : An Autobiography

Rate this book
My Times is a brilliant literary work that will arouse the enthusiasm of scholars of the Indian national struggle, as well as all those who want to glimpse into the world of the freedom-fighters and leaders of the pre-independence era. Kripalani sheds light on the relationship he shared with legendary figures such as Jawaharlal Nehru, Subhas Chandra Bose, Maulana Azad, Sardar Patel and of course, Mahatma Gandhi. Written in lucid language, My Times evokes Kripalani's famous speeches which were observed to be, by the great poetess Sarojini Naidu, “an enduring memorial of a soul that has passed from turmoil to an inner sense of realization.”

Truly a brilliant memoir. Released many years after the death of Kripalani this book gives aviv is overview of the struggle for independence as well as the traits of the key players during that period. Excellent addition to the story of Indian independence as well as the first thirty years of post independence period. Go for it.
