For a group of famous gamers…

Meeting Penny might mean they’re facing their final level.

Penny tags along with Jade to a gaming convention, ready for a change of pace. With no Raven sightings for months, she almost lets herself believe she’s finally free.

Then the black bird returns.

And this time, he’s marked an entire table of tight-knit gamers for death.

Convincing them they’re in danger? That’s the real challenge. To them, life is just another game—one they think they can outplay. But Penny knows better.

They have 24 hours before it’s game over—permanently.

With Jade by her side and new allies Titus and Scrubb in the mix, Penny races against time, unraveling cryptic musical clues before the Raven starts picking off players one by one.

In this paranormal cozy mystery, the final showdown is coming fast—and if Penny and her friends can’t roll the right dice, the Raven wins.

Sarah lives in California, in a home that brings her happiness and hay fever. She loves God, loves her family, and loves freshly brewed coffee. She has a husband who cooks, a son who stop animates, a daughter who loves animals, a dog that follows her everywhere, and a turtle who scowls at her condescendingly.

Her mother raised her on Mary Higgins Clark, Diane Mott Davidson, and Remington Steele. Her grandmother shared True Crime stories with her as they plotted how to get away with the perfect murder. It's no surprise that Sarah became an award-winning spinner of suspenseful tales brimming with quirky characters. Mysteries are in her blood. Not that she could survive one of her own stories. She confesses, "I'd be snuffed out by chapter two."

Wonderful addition to the series.

I hadn't read one of the Penny series yet but the thoughtful author note at the beginning explained everything I needed to know. (And now I want to read all of them.)

When Penny's raven omen appears at a pizza party at a gamer's convention, she has a difficult time narrowing down the possible targets or bad guys.

Penny, Jade, Titus and Scrubbs each play a part in solving the mystery. There is a sweet side plot of Titus and Penny navigating their obvious feelings for each other. Penny doesn't understand Titus's faith and he doesn't push it on her. This is something I really appreciate about this author. She doesn't force her faith down your throat. Similar toTitus with Penny, she lets readers draw their own conclusions and have their own perspectives.

There is a major development in the search for Penny's sister, but I won't spoil anyone.

I highly recommend this to Sarah HuaIde readers and anyone who enjoys a good, clean, cozy mystery.

The Case of Penny and the raven is a paranormal cozy mystery drama of heartbreaking proportion .Penny's past given in portions and her deadly troubles almost never ending is intriguing on its own but Penny is no longer alone facing her fears and pain Penny has acquired friends who care and stand by her. This is one such time. The array of familiar characters bring faith in mankind they are vibrant, colorful, quirky and committed in their friendship, the newest array of characters are also vibrant but are very different in their dynamics because as we know this is a mystery so there's a deadly schemer and deadly entity to deal with and struggle through a mess of partial hidden clues as well as down right bold. This plot of intrigue, mayhem, secrets and betrayal isn't intended to be missed it's a must read whether you've read the previous books to this extraordinary series or not. Acquire " Rolled " the eighth mystery read in " Paranormal Penny Mysteries " for hours of intriguing and enjoyable entertainment. Kat

A road trip to a gaming convention brings more than is bargained for along with a hope of finally seeing her long lost sister. All Penny has to due is survive the weekend and another mysterious Raven plot. With Scrub fanboying, Jade working hard and Titus and his steadfast presence Penny has her crew but will they be enough?
Great story. Loved the venue and the chaos of a con as a backdrop for a Raven plot. Was a bit slow in the beginning but once the Raven appeared the story picked up and moved fast. Lots of great deductive reasoning work from the crew and a bit of a bittersweet ending. All in all a really good read.

Rolled is A Paranormal Penny Mystery Book 8 by Sara Hualde. I am enjoying this series and Rolled is excellent. Penny can see death in the form of the Raven and his henchmen. Penny and Jade have taken the food truck to a Gaming weekend. Spades is not a happy cat because he was left at home. I really liked that there are several themes woven into this story. Penny is nervous because the Raven has been quiet. She is hoping to finally find her sister and Titus is moving super slow in there relationship. Unfortunately the Raven does show up and Penny and friends must try to unravel clues. The book is really exciting. I received an arc for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.

Penny's ongoing struggles with coping with her powers find new twists as she meets others with their own special gifts.

Fun or frightening?

Is Death something Penny can negotiate or avoid?

Is it really tracking those clise to her, like a curse? Or is she just more in tune with what lies ahead, potentially, for folks nearby?

Kinship, creative differences or something else as awareness of folks with perception grows?

The fears, and the intensity of the energetic and personal connections for Penny are moving, and I enjoy adventures with her, though I feel sad for her persistent fears and sorrows.

This was enjoyable. I hadn't read the earlier books but it didn't matter. There was a good explanation given at the start.

It is a bit different and is set around a game and a group involved in it's production. It is clear that things are not all bright and rosy within the group and Penny soon realises that someone is going to die. There is an interesting development at the end which makes me want to read the next one.

Gamers and Reapers and Ravens, oh my!
New to this series I understand this is book8. That in and of itself can be a little confusing until the story takes hold. I admit, I know nothing about games and the lingo, almost like Penny, but what had me going on was the mystery of the raven. After Penny sees the raven, it sets the 'fun' of the game to another level. Keepers must reveal the reaper before the reaper kills the keepers. Question is, how did one gamer really die? Will penny thwart the raven? Lastly, where is her long lost sister? Guess you are going to have to read this to find out!

I love Penny and her crew, which I'm so glad she found. I love the way they support her and help her out. Every time they talk about the cinnamon buns, I want one. They sound delicious. I can't wait for her next story. I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Penny has joined Jade on her food truck at a gaming convention. Unfortunately, Penny sees the Raven whenever someone is going to die and it just showed up at the convention! Can Penny and her friends figure out all the musical clues and somehow stop the Raven from taking another life? Quick read but it packs a punch!

All of Penny's favorite found family are in one place. She can be truly herself. But that doesn't stop death from showing up.

I do struggle with Penny's insecurities. Her internal (and external) dialogue regarding Titus is so much unknown, when he repeatedly shows and says he cares deeply about her. What's that about?

This falls inline with her previous books, good but sad at the same time. It was a short and easy read. The characters came to life on paper and were wonderful. I look forward to her next book.

Penny, Jade and their boyfriends Titus and Scrubbs were all busy with the food truck Delish Mode and involved in a game which dealt with danger. The murder of Dillon Carrey, finding Penny's sister Christie and going against the Raven has them racing against time. An intriguing paranormal read. I received this ARC copy via Booksirens. I recommend this book to other readers.

This was book 8 paranormal Penny mysteries. This book has a different type of twist of mysteries and the paranormal.. the storyline is very detailed, and the characters are all realistic. I feel that you can read this book without reading the other ones that’s how well the story and the characters are put together..

I love the Penny Mysteries so much. I love getting swept away in the story, they're easy to read and harder to put down.
This story took us on two mystery solving trips, although the second mystery isn't solved yet.. I'm eager to find out if Penny will eventually find her twin sister.
I really enjoyed the way the main mystery with the gamers played out whilst seeing TC and Penny's relationship develop more. I really love these characters and their developments. I love how each potential murder mystery plays out and are different from the previous ones, how the Raven still keeps us on our toes. Another great story in the series.

Penny is helping Jade at a gaming convention when she sees the Raven over a group of gamers. What does it mean, and will she be able to solve the riddle in time?

Super engaging book. This book is definitely a page turner, that I could not put down to the last page. Great characters with their little quirks, and lots of twists and turns in the storyline. An amazing fun book to read.
