Sayo is pathetic. I love pathetic middle aged men. Yamadera is so messed up. We got some glimpses of the trauma that he dealt with as a child which is helping us understand how he go where he is. Sayo and his cat were very cute in this volume. He is still learning how to vampire, I enjoy following his journey.

We get two new vampires in this volume a Yakuza one that is scared a bit and also scary as he doesn't care as much as Sayo nor Mirei about staying safely in the shadows. The other is introduced at the end of the volume and we will have to read more to learn about her.

This is really dark and maniacal. To me it is captivating and I want more ASAP.

Aber no Rape, so thats a plus for me.

Creepy! The story is a little interesting, but also a little boring. I’m not sure yet if I’ll be continuing with this series.

The artwork is gorgeous and easy on the eyes but storywise, it keeps going back and forth with the two male leads which is confusing enough to what their intentions to each other here?! Also they add a pointless loli character and another girl who is annoying having the hots for one of the male leads just cause he’s a vampire. Look, I’m only giving a high score for the art but the rest, nah..

This series continues to be unhinged, and I love it 😌👌🏼

Minoru is still precious and too good for this world. He deserves only love and happiness, but instead he gets weird ass people in his life. A true shame 😔 He also spends half the volume feeling bad about something he did to Yamadera, but he shouldn't feel bad! He should've killed that man actually 😩

At least everyone who meets Yamadera in this volume thinks he's a freak...because he IS one. That man lost touch with sanity ages ago. He doesn't act like a rational human in the slightest. Even his whole little speech at the beginning of this volume was deranged. How are you going to tell someone as sweet as Minoru that you hated his guts because he was too good of a person? And that you're happy he's miserable now? Girl, seek therapy. He clearly needs it for his childhood trauma that has somehow lead to whatever the hell he is now 💀

Finally, I need Itachi to take a chill pill. He's being so hostile towards Minoru and Yamadera for no reason. Relax, dude! I mean. He could kill Yamadera, and I wouldn't feel bad. This doesn't mean, however, that I think he's handling the situation well 🤦🏻‍♀️

Now I'm forced to wait for the release of vol 3 to figure out what Mei wants to do with Yamadera 😔

The second volume continues where the cliffhanger ending of the first left things, with Minoru Sayo being run over by train. Unsurprisingly, since he's the protagonist and a vampire, he survives. But he needs Yamadera's blood to recover. So the younger man strikes a deal with him: become his slave for his blood. The deal very much favours Yamadera, but Sayo doesn't care.

Sayo meets another vampire, who tells him his progenitor is a powerful vampire who everyone is afraid of. He's a dangerous vampire too, and threatens Sayo and Yamadera, but just as things are about to get dicy, the progenitor shows up. The volume ends with that.

I still don't know what to think of this manga. It's not BL, or any kind of romance. It's a bit dark and weird. Yamadera is still creepy, but we get a glimpse to his backstory and there's deep trauma there, which explains some of his behavior. Sayo is still a pushover and very annoying. I have no idea where the story is going, other than some sort of tragedy. I'm not sure I'll continue.

I received a free copy from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.

Manga | Vampires | slow burn male love male?

Thank you to SuBlime for this ARC in exchange for my honest review!

• Plot:
May I have a taste? Vol 2 picks up from the cliffhanger incident in Vol 1. Yamadera confesses how he loves that Sayo has fallen from grace. Sayo encounters a foe.

• What I Liked:
It’s a twist on who holds the power in a vampire relationship. Yamadera even jokes that Sayo is a machoist. Sayo isn’t; he’s just trying to survive without hurting anyone.

• What Didn’t Work for Me:
Yamadera is not a decent guy like Sayo. Yamadera drags Izumi into things.

• Themes / Ideas:
Child abuse, protection, etc.

• Who I’d Recommend It To:
Those interested in vampires and possibly male love male

• Overall Thoughts: Sayo is very sacrificial in protecting Yamadera. In this volume, there isn’t any outright yaoi again, aside from some intimate licking and biting. Slowly, Sayo learns more about Yamadera. This volume ends on a cliffhanger, encountering the one and only sought-after vampire Mei.

An amazing sequel to the first volume, we go more in depth now regarding Yamadera and Sayo, as well as to other characters being introduced in this story and how now we are getting more information about the vampire who turned Sayo.

The cliffhangers in both volumes are to die for - literally lol.

That freaking cliffhanger had me rip this manga open so fk fast.

Anyway i really liked the second volume, no doubt. You get more answers about vampirism and how it works, you also get introduced to more vampires and you even get to know more about the original vampire that turned Sayo.

Yamadera is still a psychopath but he is growing on me quickly.

Cant wait for the 3rd volume

This is hilariously the most BL-non BL that I have ever read. These two give me a migraine with their every action, omg.

This volume was hilarious and the plot has moved in a direction I did NOT expect. But both are down to clown and complete these impossible tasks.

Thanks so much to Edelweiss and the publisher for the DRC.

Omg is he going to get what he wants??

So I'm not really reading this as a BL and more just for the paranormal plot. I don't really care for a romantic relationship between the two men, but I like how Yamadera is getting closer to Sayo and we're learning more about him.
