She’s 70 years old and about to experience the best autumn of her life…
Monica, who just celebrated her 70th birthday is spending the fall with her daughter’s family off the coast of Maine.
Since her husband died 10 years ago, she’s given up all hope of a new happily ever after and tells herself she’s content just being grandma to two beautiful boys.
The thing is Monica’s always had a secret passion for baking and business. A passion she never got to pursue as a wife and mother. So when she sees a job opening in the local cottage cafe, she jumps at the chance. Impressed by her pastry skills, the owner offers Monica a chance to shine in the kitchen.
Over the moon with this new lease of life, Monica’s happiness is short-lived when she finds out that hotel developers are threatening to buy out the local cafe.
Then, when Monica finds a notebook left behind in the cafe one evening, she discovers inside it the story of Benjamin, a once-famous local sculptor who is grieving his late wife. The cottage cafe was her favorite place to be too. As Monica delves into the history of the town, she realizes just how pivotal the cafe has been to the people who live here through the years.
Intrigued, Monica sets out to make friends with the reclusive and crotchety Benjamin, who just so happens to be the only man who can save the cafe from its fate.
A reminder of the importance of friendship, love, neighbors, and reaching out to those around you. Spend a hopefull fall with Monica and Benjamin as they embark on an unlikely romance and band together to save the beloved local cafe from going under.

Unfortunately, not a very satisfying conclusion to the series, with sort of a half-ass HEA and a lot of boring genealogy talk. However, I love Ben & Monica, just wanted more for them.
What a wonderful way to finish up the series. Everything is tied up and done. The town is saved. Secrets are revealed. One of my absolute favorites for the year.
In Book 6 of the Cottage Café more secrets are revealed. We learn the story behind the land. Monica and Benjamin grow closer, and Ben gets some closure from Emma. I wish we knew how Donnie and Andy resolved their issues, and I'm still curious why Fred and Andy hate each other. Overall, I loved the series and was happy with the outcome.

Questions are answered and we learn who is innocent and who is guilty. I might add that it seems some of the ‘big guys’ are scared to show their faces. Can’t say I blame them as Monica and Lydia pull a number on them. They make quite the mother/daughter team.
Romance is in the air and maybe, just maybe, love is right around the corner for Ben and Monica.
It was a satisfying conclusion to a good storyline with a few ‘wishes’ left… see below.
🤔 OBSERVATIONS:
I would have liked more to the ending such as:
✒︎ how the ‘high and mighty’ dealt with what was discovered and were there in legal ramifications
✒︎ what the issue was between Andy and Fred
✒︎ where it goes from here with Andy and Donnie and how Donnie did a sharp about face
✒︎ does Lydia get her job back or does she start her own business … and who did the complaining to cause her to lose her job.

shadows from their pasts hang over many of the townspeople in this sort of close knit community.
they seem to hold grudges as tightly as hopes and dreams, in some instances.
a slow simmering romance still bubbles, along with the possibilities for new beginnings for one time couples who have been dragging along some baggage.
Hopes lie close by heavy hearts and shadows as this series draws to a close.
I can't help but hope to visit some of the folks in a new series, to find out what happens in their afters - happy or heartbroken.
This is a moving testimony to the weight if friendships and broken pieces fitting together or shattering apart.
I enjoy the sweet bits and the drama, and am looking forward to reading my next Sage Parker saga.
Yes! We finally have the answers to the situation with the council and it’s staff members. And, of course, the relationship brewing between Benjamin and Monica. The ending was so fitting and sweet and I loved that we got to see some on Benjamin’s vulnerability when he admitted his feelings for Monica. I truly enjoyed this series and getting to know the characters and learning about their pasts and how they were all connected.

The mystery is solved, and answers were found as to what was happening in The Cottage Café Book Six. No one could have seen the results of the investigation Monica and Banjamin were able to do. This gave us the final answers to who was behind the dirty deeds, but Monica and Benjamin were not going to let The Cottage Café go down without a fight. I loved the connection between Monica and Benjamin grew throughout the series.

This an excellent ending to a fantastic series. Monica realizes and accepts that life doesn’t end at 70. The cafe is the cafe for the community. This book shows how the “little” person can make a difference. The realistic characters and their behaviors are so genuine that I couldn’t stop reading each book until the very last word.

A short and sweet conclusion to this amazing series. It may not have had a lot of pages but they packed a punch and the story was not short on depth and emotion. I loved the later in life romance that was thread through the whole story and how the community all came together for each other and the town. This is the perfect series for those who love a small town saga with mystery, suspense and some feel good romance. The ending was wonderful!.
Pretty much kept my interest throughout the 6 - book series to reach conclusions. Sage Parker is a gifted author and her books are written with well thought out content. I thought the plot was well developed, as were the characters and there was diversity throughout the different scenarios that kept my interest and kept me wanting to read through the ending.
The Cottage Cafe, Book Six, is the finale in the Falling For Maine Series which concludes the romantic story of Benjamin and Monica. Information from a surprising source helps the city council to make their decision regarding the land where the cafe stands. This series had a great conclusion.

A stunning ending to a fantastic book and series. The intrigue has built through the series. I love the ending which wraps up one part of the story, but leaves other parts of the story to one's imagination. Truly a highly recommended series and author.
I read this book and series as part of an advance reader team and am voluntarily writing this review.

The City Council Meeting was finally scheduled.....for 3 weeks away. The town was in a buzz. Freya got to Lydia to let her know that the meeting would take place while the Mayor was on Vacation.....Convenient???? And the Detectives (Monica, Ben, Fred and Lydia) get to work.
Fantastic ending Sage.

The Cottage Cafe (Book 6) is book #6 in the Falling for Maine series by Sage Parker.
It’s time for the final showdown regarding the property. I loved the relationship between Ben and Monica. This is an overall feel good story and I hate to see it end.

What a perfect ending. It was so cute how Benjamin just kissed Monica after their victory!! They were sweet on each other and it was adorable to watch it turn into love. Two individuals who lost loved ones, but managed to find love again at their age. Loved this series and I loved how it centered around an older couple. So cute!!!.
Wonderful conclusion to the story with a lot of answers to the questions that you follow along as you read this book. Like the older characters and the interaction and conversations that they have. Great setting or the story. Entertaining read.

Book 6 - The land issue revolved. Ben and Monica move to a more committed relationship. Ends a bit abruptly, and is a bit open ended. Unless there’s a book 7, you need to assume and use your imagination on where it goes from here. I enjoyed this series. I just wish it would’ve been one novel instead of six novellas, that must be read in order to make sense.
I cannot believe they figured out what was happening with the help of someone at City Hall. With all the digging and searching, I wasn't sure Ben and Monica were going to make it. They did. It was a great ending to this awesome series.

I loved this entire series. I couldn't wait for the next book to come out everytime I came to the end of a book in the series. So I was very disappointed in the end book. It was too abrupt of an ending, there should have been more.
Monica, Benjamin and the gang are all back for the last in the series. What will the town council decide, can they affect the decision in any way? This was a delightful series with great characters and a wonderful ending. A must read.
loved the story and the characters. Monica and Benjamin continue to investigate the mystery and definitely it was a surprise ending . An easy and enjoyable read.

Thoroughly enjoyed the books. My only issue was having to constantly get the “next book”. All six, averaging about 80 pages, could have easily been made into one or two books. Each book was like a chapter; everything just continued right into the next.
Ridiculous ending after reading six books. Extremely disappointing. Plus each book was so short. Simply a way to keep you buying books. Not a fan and will not read this author again .
Such a wonderful series! A little mystery, family, love and small town adventures. I wanted to keep reading and when I got to the end of the last book….I was sad that it was over.
Thank you Sage Parker for this series of adventures♥️
