Someone please go back in time and slap me. Where the hell did the idea come from that it would be a good thing to read this book?
It is well written. I couldn't put it down either, although I should have done so after the first rape scene between the MCs. So there's something about this book. But I don't know how to rate it. Or describe it ... phew, it gave me a headache, I was uncomfortable the whole time and I had nightmares.
So, some of you know that I tend to read rather fluffy books and love romances. I seem to be having a weird week and obviously need these dark things. What this one is completely missing though is the romance.
Yes there are a few elements in it, but the amount of violence between the MCs and the lack of real love, though I guess you have to redefine love here, don't really make me categorize this as a romance.
My body is begging for relief, pushed to its breaking point, twisted with pain and pleasure and anticipation and—
“You just pissed yourself, little lamb,” he chuckles darkly, the end of his sentence breaking out into a long drawn out moan when I start to cry.
“Fuck, you’re perfect. So fucking perfect. I’m…Fuck…Aiden, I—” He peaks on a growl but doesn’t stop. 😬😬😬
I don’t want to sleep. I don’t want to be unconscious around him, distrustful of what he’ll do to me.
But I’m not given a choice as a rag is placed over my nose, making my eyes fall shut as my breathing slows.
The last thing I see is Levi’s smiling face, silver eyes full of genuine happiness.
And I’ve never hated someone more. 🔪🔪🔪
I'll just list various triggers because I don't know how else to describe this book. Whenever I thought it was getting better, it only got worse and the ending was totally lame.

This story was dark and disturbing and disgusting and rough, but it was such a vibe. I absolutely devoured this book.
I don’t know how Leviathan with his lack of empathy, people skills and literally any redeeming qualities wormed his way into my heart, but he did. And Aiden was a walking oxymoron of emotions and thoughts and reactions but their dynamic was super interesting.
The spice in this book was insane. A lot of it made me uncomfortable, but again, was totally living for it.
I will say that I don’t really understand the plot of this book. If there was one, it wasn’t fleshed out too well or I just missed it entirely. But the overall concept of Levi falling for his mark was fun. I just wish I understood the cult aspects a bit more.
The side characters were everything. Adored Mammon, Gore and Bel, and there was a nice setup for their book. Super interested in Asi. Cannot wait to see what’s going on with him behind closed doors.

Wow! I am completely blown away by this debut by Maddison Devlin—Addison Beck’s evil twin sister🤭. This book gripped me from the beginning and sucked me right into the deliciously dark and gritty world of these characters.
Leviathan as a character is ethically BLACK —believe me you need to adhere to your trigger warnings for this one. He is a twisted and unhinged psychopath and Maddison did a great job writing his character.

Leviathan as a book gave me everything i needed in a dark romance. It was addictive and gripping and exciting. These band of psycho brothers had me on a leash and i absolutely cannot wait for what Maddison has in store for us in the rest of their books. Again this was finger licking good! So if you love dark MM romance with morally black characters, toxic relationships, psychopaths, pick this!!
If you loved Unhinged Necessary evils series and Loren then pick this as this is a darker love child.

This is just a bit too OTT for me and it’s just feels more ridiculous than dark at this point.
I mean, the whole premise of a cult with some psychopathic murders named after the princes of hell, killing sacrifices for the end of days on their Alaskan Island is ridiculous, but I was embracing that. But just the violence and the fucking in blood etc just feels over exaggerated that you can’t take it seriously, especially when you have those inner voices yelling at you in caps throughout.
It also got a bit monotonous for me. I’m just kinda bored at this point.
Aside from that, I did find it a bit repetitive in terms of delivering information about the brothers and the cult. I mean, on page 13 and again on page 15, we are told Mammon is the oldest. Bel is called a sexual deviant a million times.
There’s some continuity stuff… like Aiden being in a towel, then naked, and Levi covering his naked ass from the view of his brothers, but then undressing him once in Levi’s room.
Or Zeus has been at the house for two weeks, apparently, even though it was nearly two weeks that he had been missing when Aiden was putting up flyers, a few days went by from the murder and funeral to his kidnapping, and he’d been in the house a few days… so should be 3 weeks probably at minimum.
Or Aiden recalls “a thick cock fucking into him” even though Levi “even without being inside him”, having just used his fingers… and then later Aiden thinks it must feel incredible for Levi “fucking into [him] for the first time, instead of rutting against [him].
Also, the odd typo, leading to sentences like: “I’m been taken—“.
I was hoping for dark with a bit of ridiculousness… got more ridiculous than I would like. And while I was pretty meh about Levi and Aiden, I thought I’d stick it out for Asmodeus, but I think this is it for me with Devilry.

I am disturbed by this book, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I was planning on giving this book 5⭐️ but I feel like it lacked some (Levi isn’t even redeemable so what am I even saying) groveling. Levi does some horrible things to Aiden, and yes he did grovel in his own way, but I needed a little more.

Holy crap! Ive never read a dark MM romance like this before - fucking STUNNING! I LOVE how these characters grow into their twisted dynamic - their journey to become a couple feels so natural (and its really fucking dark and i fucking love it!). These MCs relationship is so delightfully and deliciously fucked up! Pleass read the CWs of course (mental health first)
The writing is also a joy to read and i have so many parts highlighted! The author really captures these characters mindsets beautifully and i was just cheering for the shift in their relationship - this was a true pleasure to read. And i loved the use of the collar and how this author doesn't need to tell us how the MCs are feeling but instead shows us, letting us just watch and revel in their chaos and observe their twisted mannerisms and coping mechanisms 💜💜
I can't wait for the rest of this series. Im so freaking excited that Mammon and the terror twins are up next *squeals* - Enjoy friends!

I love both these boys but Levi - he’s just a big softy really… I mean getting Aidan YARN 😭 what a man. I loveeee the realisation of actual found family despite the darkness. It was dark, hot, absolutely crazy and I loved every second of it :) I only wish I had MORE …

I have had the absolute pleasure of reading these boy twice over, and I’m still not ready to let them go and send them out into the wild 🥹 but here we are !
Leviathan is a super spicy, VERY DARK, morally black MC romance with a very long TW list, a lot of 🩸, a handful of found family side characters, (👋🏻 Mammon, baby!) and a very questionable main character named.. well Levi(athan) 🖤
After our boy Levi unsliced his parents when he was young, he is taken in by a man who raises him to be exactly what he was always meant to be, a killer. One who will do his bidding for him, no questions asked.
His bounty for this year? Our very own Aiden. Aiden is stuck in a life he doesn’t want. He has no friends, no life, he hates his girlfriend, and the only two things that bring him any joy these days are sunshine and knitting. HE IS SO SWEET. But he has a very dark side within him that is just DYING to come out and play.
Levi and Aiden do NOT have your typical HEA. There is no walk off into the sunset hand in hand ending for these two. They wouldn’t want that anyways. Their ending was perfect for who and what they are and become.
This book was full of twists and turns at every angle. Every chapter had me DYING to continue on, and seeing Aiden become who he was ultimately meant to be was.. beautiful. Terrifying, but beautiful.
PLEASE read all TWs before diving in. If you have some triggers, I can guarantee they’re in this book 😅 if you have none like me? We’ll feel free to dive right in! This book is PERFECT, and if you’re still in your dark, spooky era, then you’ll enjoy them just as much as I did.

I had to take a bit to gather my thoughts for this one.
Where to even begin with this book? First off, this is a dark, dark, dark read. Pitch black. One of the darkest I’ve read in a while. And definitely not a dark romance beginner book. It may turn your stomach at times or make you cringe with unease.

Every once in a while I get the urge to read something out of the norm. Something dark and twisted that pokes at my mind. This was a twisted story of obsession, desire, and the darkest parts of the soul that hide behind false masks. It’s depraved, but addicting. And though I went into it with a bit of trepidation after reading the triggers, once I started, I could not put it down.
Leviathan, or Levi, is not a hero. He’s not morally gray with a heart of gold underneath the gruff. He is a villain, a monster, through and through. With blood on his hands and a soul made of villainous shadows. But there’s something buried deep inside of him that only Aiden, who has some shadows of his own, is able to reach. They’re toxic together. Unstable.
I won’t say more than that. This is a story one has to experience for themselves. I’m excited for what else this world, the characters, and Maddison Devlin, will bring.

This was a twisted story of obsession, desire, and the darkest parts of the soul that hide behind false masks. It’s depraved, but addicting. And though I went into it with a bit of trepidation after reading the triggers, once I started, I could not put it down.
Leviathan, or Levi, is not a hero. He’s not morally gray with a heart of gold underneath the gruff. He is a villain, a monster, through and through. With blood on his hands and a soul made of villainous shadows. But there’s something buried deep inside of him that only Aiden, who has some shadows of his own, is able to reach. They’re toxic together. Unstable.
I won’t say more than that. This is a story one has to experience for themselves. I’m excited for what else this world, the characters, and Maddison Devlin, will bring.

I knew this book was going to be 5 starts the second I heard Addison Beck was switching to the dark side. Levi and Aiden will never claw their way out of my heart. They will permanently live there forever. I don’t even know where I begin. This book has quite literally taken over my brain the second it was announced. Within the first few chapters I knew I never wanted it to end. Levi’s obsession with Aiden the second he lays eyes on him is everything. His little lamb waiting for the slaughter. Never expecting anything, yet feeling everything. Their souls are truly connected and drawn to one another’s. It was only a matter of time until Levi’s control snapped and he took Aiden.
They are connected. Their bodies weave in and out of each other. Levi is so fascinated with this new found emotion towards Aiden. His body is reacting in ways it never has been and he’s utterly confused. That doesn’t stop him from holding back. Oh no. Aiden’s demons are trapped inside. Waiting to be let out. Trying to claw their way to Levi’s own. Once they meet, hell will rise. Levi is truly too sweet when it comes to loving Aiden in his own way. This monster with a collar and leash is wrapped tightly around Aiden’s little finger. I love how Levi was willing to change such important things about his life to accommodate Aiden. His presence may not have been welcomed by everyone but that didn’t make Levi love him any less. My heart broke for them when they thought they lost one another. They are nothing without each other. Their bodies are woven together in the darkness they share. Levi was never going to kill Aiden. He was never truly a bounty. Aiden was Levi’s way out. His own personal master. Luc held the key to Levi’s own personal hell, and they will both happily live in it forever. Till death takes them both or neither at all.
Maddison Devlin has somehow managed to turn her debut novel into my favorite book this year. Definitely not complaining. She has outdone herself with the page turning story and the page burning smut. I happily reviewed an ARC of Leviathan. This is a book u won’t ever forget. Happy reading:)

First of all, this is not a light read, and there certainly isn't romantic, tender love happening with the two MCs. No, their connection is dark, toxic, twisted and deranged and it's so good 🤭❤️🔥
Leviathan is a true pychopath. He comes from a 'family' and all of them are at least slightly (or a lot) insane and series unalivers. Aiden seems to be an innocent, cute guy at first but he is much more than that and his relationship with Levi awakens parts of him he never planned to let out.
There are things happening between the MCs that are toxic AF, but it needed to happen for them in order for their unique story 🖤
I loved Mammon with the terror twins and I'm so excited for Asmodeus' story 😍

DNF: I didn't make it too far into this tbh. I wanted to like this, but it reads like a poor rip off of the Unnecessary Evils series, but worse and with more violence/gore. The beginning was a bit confusing and I didn't really like any of the characters. The premise is a little out there. I read some of the reviews and I'm not sure why so many people like this, but to each their own. This book is definitely for people who love a lot of trigger warnings in their books.
