Non Spoiler:

It’s no secret about what happens during order 66. This book also came out before the last season of the clone wars, so the reasoning and thought process of why the clones executed order 66 is different from cannon. However, it does make sense for these group of people about what happened.

This is my first time rereading the series, and it still left the same impression on me regarding order 66. The last few chapters are honestly gutwrenching, but it’s to be expected lol.

My only problem with the book was it was a little slow at the beginning and I don’t like when women are referred to as “females”. It feels degrading and disrespectful, but that’s just my opinion🤷🏽‍♀️

Spoiler:
I love the layers that get added to each character, you really see how everyone is just trying to protect their loved ones. There really is no clear cut wrong or right answer because the system is severely flawed and has been for decades and you get to see how flawed the system is for the Jedi and the clones.

Dude, I already knew what happened to Sev, but it still breaks my heart every time reading delta leave him form scorch’s perspective. They were so close and really complemented each other in a way that was different from the squad and seeing how that was eating scorch alive really really really made me sad.

Speaking of sad, poor Etain. Her death still is something that is tragic to me. She was so close to getting her happy ending, and it blew up in her face. She died saving a clone and that shows you how much she cared about them. I just feel so sad for Darman and niner and honestly everyone. You really get to see how darman copes with the death of his wife and him deciding to leave his son. He’s literally creating two different versions of himself to cope with the trauma. Niner is definitely one of my favorites in the series and it’s just so devastating about what happened to him and what is going to happen to him.

overall good, but the ending is way too long with no resolution

sad that the series is over with so many unresolved plot lines. Where does the story go from here? The lengthy ending didn’t resolve much - just rambled
