The fourth story in the Winters’ Resplendent Royals series is just as amazing as the first three. This novel focuses on Princess Odette and American billionaire, Wyatt Worthington. While these two might not seem like they would work on paper, from their very first adrenaline fueled meet-cute, it is obvious that these two were a match made in heaven.

This story brings Odette and Wyatt and their passion for cyclist and pedestrian safety while on the roads. Odette takes over the patronage of Vision 360 and Wyatt is on the board of what I understood of the city planning. Odette and Wyatt start off forming a friendship while they plan to get the board’s approval to reconfigure or add additional protections to several of the city’s most dangerous intersections. Believe me, Winters makes it extremely interesting to read about. Odette is a cyclist who was hit by a car while biking which she had her dog with her. It was that intersection that she wanted to change first. While the plans to recharge the city’s safety, Odette and Wyatt become closer.

One big theme of this novel is mental health. Both Odette and Wyatt have met tragedies and hardships in their lives. Odette is hesitant to enter into a new relationship after the spiral she went through after the end of a toxic relationship. Wyatt is hesitant because he lost his wife three years earlier, he has a four-year-old son he needs to put first, and the fact that he is thirteen years older than Odette. Wyatt had his own bout with depression when he lost his wife, worked hard for several years through therapy, and continues to manage his symptoms with medication. Odette’s recovery was rocky at the best of times but with a combination of family support, mental health professionals, and medications she was able to stabilize her daily life. Winters told the pair’s mental health journeys with respect and knowledge. She did her due diligence with her research and brought a realness to the characters that pulled me in.

As for all the secondary characters, we have Odette’s three sisters, her brother-in-law, Rick, Wyatt’s son, Theo, Wyatt’s mother and sister, and Odette’s adorable dog, Grieg. Every scene with Theo and Grieg was amazing. Odette’s instant connection with Theo tugged hard on my heartstrings. While it was not explicitly said, Grieg seemed like a service animal for Odette. He works hard to help her in some situations when she suffers panic attacks and when she needs an extra dose of love. One relationship I loved seeing on the page was Odette’s relationship with Rick. He was such a good source of support and gave Odette some amazing advice. With both of her parents gone, Rick filled a void and did it well.

I thought this was to be the last story in this series, but I was excited to see at the end of this book that Winters has two more books in this series to be released in 2025. I can’t wait for more!

I received Royally Benevolent for free. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Odette is my favorite sister, hands down. I love all 4 of them but she is DEFINITELY the most relatable. Idk how Maudes books get better everytime she writes one but they do because this one was PERFECT🥺 i felt more seen and understood than I ever have before and I'm so glad I got the chance to read this story🫶🏻

Yessssss! Winters has done it yet again. It is not often I find an author who can manage to win me on so many books, but every time they are able to find a way to pull heartstrings, lavish us with details and still touch base on very important topics. This fourth h book in the series is wonderful and has really, possibly, become my favourite thus far!
I loved that Odette was strong and kind, all whilst dealing with her own mental h alyh demons. I was even more won by her because she was not afraid to admit her demons existed and talk about how she copes or when she doesn't. The honesty really got me and it felt true, rather than it being a subject added in just for measure. It is clear Winters has put a lot of research into what dealing with mental health issues and trauma is like and how people live alongside these battles.
I loved Rick in this book. With each page he appears on, he seems to win me over more and more. He has really stepped up and become a brilliant big brother and lookout. I also liked Wyatt and Theo. Wyatt was raw, honest and kind and really was a great father, which is wonderful to see, especially when having to struggle to be both parents. Theo was adorable and added such a lovely aspect to this read
Honestly, I cannot fault this book. I truly loved it, with its raw look at real people and how they try to make connections, and what can come of that leap. Brilliant book!

This is the 4th book in the Resplendent Royals series and I think this one may be my favorite. This follows Princess Odette American Billionaire Wyatt’s romance. They are both carrying some heavy issues. Wyatt is a widowed father or a young son and Princess Odette is trying to find her footing again after some serious mental health struggles. When they have a disastrous meet cute that ends in Odette’s dog disappearing, Wyatt jumps in to help.

I loved so much about this book. I love the way this book handles both character’s mental health struggles. I also love the way she wrote about grief. I really think all the themes in this book were written about in a believable and relatable way. Even if you don’t have these struggles, you are able to understand how these themes fuel the characters and their relationships with each other. The love story between Odette and Wyatt worked on a lot of different levels and reading this book you understand how these two could fall for each other quickly but struggle with how to make their relationship work. I also love all the appearances by the other royals in this book. I loved that Rick and Odette’s relationship is explored and how his role has become not only as a brother in low but also a friend and confidante. There is so much I loved about this book I could go on and on but I will just say its worth the read.

This was a wonderfully written story. It shows Odette and Wyatt love. It’s the ups and downs of a relationship through mental illness and loss of a loved one. It also goes through the complications of miscommunications. The love for little Theo and the things that parents and perspective Partner/parent to keep stability of the child and the love.

I will say one of the funniest lines and where the lines stuck out to me most while reading this book was during a spicy scene in which Odette said “I am a proper lady who reads literature”. I left with that line and it’s not a major point in the story, but it still made me giggle and it still made me remember it so that’s always good.

This book does skip around with timelines a little bit, so that was a little confusing while reading. But the story was still good and the time jumps didn’t make sense after realizing there was a time jump.

This book can be read as a standalone, but reading the others will definitely help fall in love and care for the other characters in the story and understand where when and what has happened previously.

Notice: this book was given to me as part of an arc read in return for an honest review of the book.

Book four of the Resplendent Royals is Royally Benevolent and is a great read! I loved the plot line and that while steamy it wasn't every other line. It is part of a series but can definitely be read as a stand alone. I loved seeing Princess Odette and Wyatt's characters develop and go through issues that are normal in life (yes, even as a princess and Billionaire single dad). Both are fighting past loss and traumas and are perfectly perfect in their imperfections and how they maneuver them together. I was on the edge of my seat a few times hoping they would make it through and leave us with a happily ever after. I love how relatable they were even as a princess and Billionaire. I will going back to read the other's in this series now because I enjoyed the author's writing style so much.

Wow, just wow!
This story was beautifully done. Princess Odette might have been born a royal but her life was far from easy. Wyatt had plans and dreams for his future but as we all know to well, sometimes things don’t always go the way we hope. A chance accident brings these two together and they bond over a shared passion. Both individuals have their own sets of issues but thats what makes them so relatable. The way they work through their problems both separately and together was so real and raw. Their growth throughout this story is one of the most well written I’ve read in a while. Maude Winters delivered yet another stunning book!

Thanks to Maude Winters for the opportunity to read this ARC.
An accidental meeting turns into a business venture with their shared passion for safety. Princess Odette is royalty, but also a down to Earth relatable character. Wyatt is an American dad that happens to be a billionaire. They have difficulty communicating their feelings at first. Once they share their hardships, they end up being exactly what the other person needs to reach their happy ending. Great secondary characters and wholesome family dynamics. Some of the dialogue was immature, especially the last spicy scene. But other than that, it was an interesting read!

Love Odette and Wyatt’s story. Great character development and very well written. A great love story once they finally give into each other.

A great telling of a princess and widower father. Their love for community project and overcoming mental health make a great mix to tell an amazing story!

The book is spicy, romantic and all around great read!! And I love it was released on Valentines Day 🥰🥰

This book is part of a series but I read it as a stand alone and followed the book just fine without reading the others. But I now want to go a read the whole series and also can’t wait for the next ones.

This story was absolutely heart wrenching. Odette is so relatable and I was cheering for her the entire time. I really like how it is stated that she suffers from mental illness BUT it doesn’t truly define her. It’s something she needs to learn. Wyatt is a single dad who is still learning that it’s okay to fall in love again and pursue a new relationship. Theo is the cutest little kid and Grieg is the best esa. Their story does discuss the grief process and there was a character death that is not written in detail but does come up. Definitely worth the read.

Thank you Maude Winters for letting me have an advanced readers copy. I’m so sorry it took me so long to read it.

Royally Benevolent was well written, full of angst, but a definite page turner. I loved Wyatt and Odette's story and character development. This book had a big focus on mental health, which hits home on some levels. Maude did an amazing job in writing how the MMC and FMC worked through their struggles together and individually. It was another amazing book from the Resplendent Royals series. If you have yet to read this series, I would highly recommend adding it to your TBR list. I can not wait for book 5.

I have been looking forward to Odette's story for a while now. I have loved and related to her for multiple books and was very excited that her time was finally here. This story has so much heart. It will make your heart swell with happiness 😍. It will make your heart cry in brokenness 😭. It will just squeeze the crap out of your heart with moments that gut you in the best way 🥹. Oh.. it will also do things to parts of you that are not the heart... 🥵🥵🥵. I have loved my experiences with the Deschamps girls, each of them unique in their own way, but Odette may be my favorite 🫶.

This is book 4 in Winters' Resplendent Royals series and can be read as a standalone, but I think so much better as part of the series. This book focuses on the journey of Princess Odette and American billionaire, Wyatt Worthington. Both carry some heavy issues; Wyatt is a widowed single father, and Odette is finding her way after battling some mental struggles. A wonderful read that shows the ups and downs that come with mental health struggles and grieving a loved one.

This is a newish author for me. This is the 4th book in her series titled: Resplendent Royals. I enjoyed it, I liked it the best out of the 4 books but I love single dad reads. This story stars Odette and Wyatt. She’s a princess and he’s a billionaire. They have much to overcome if they are to be together. Wyatt is a widowed father or a young son. Princess Odette has had to find her way after health issues. So many great reading moments.

This was ok for me. It’s a quick read with short chapters. I personally didn’t care for the characters. I really did want to like this book but Wyatt was too immature for me and I just didn’t like his story. Princess Odette was a ok. I understand that she had some mental health problems and she overcame them but I think the rest of her family could have treated her better than they did. Overall the book was ok I wouldn’t reread it but if you like billionaire romances and royalty maybe you might like it better.

Angsty but well written.
Odette is a princess. She adores her dog Grieg.
Wyatt is a single dad and businessman who has relocated to Europe with his son to live.
Tropes:
Billionaire, Europe, single dad, royalty, mental health, age-gap, curvy woman, loss of spouse, shy virgin heroine, angsty, HEA romance.

A huge thank you to Maude Winters and Booksprout for providing me with an eARC book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I loved the simplicity of this story.

Odette is a princess! Our MMC is a man who was completely in awe of her after their first encounter. Together they fall in love with the same issue that they work so hard together and separately to make it happen. In the meantime they fall in love with each other!

Maude did a great job at building this story and the relationship is so fun to follow! It's sweet, and relatable. I loved this story! Thank you for the chance to read it!

This a great continuation of the series. Princess Odette is a royal but hasn’t had it easy. Wyatt has dream but unfortunately life has other plans and he has to look out for not only himself but his son. These two grown throughout the story and it’s sweet to see they have one another. That chance encounter made such a difference. A man who saves your beloved animal my heart melts. A single dad trope is the best. These two were so good together and that tension was so sizzling.

Royally Benevolent: A Billionaire Single Dad Romance by Maude Winters is book 4 of Resplendent Royals. Odette and Wyatt's love story has ups and downs, drama and lots of heat. I love that there are stories within the main story. This is the first book I have read written by the author and will definitely be going back and reading the others in the series.

Odette and Wyatt

I jumped into this series with this book. It is basically a standalone with character crossover. I had no problem understanding the main family just from the information provided in this story. Odette and Wyatt have had a rough go at life and both come together with past trauma. Their relationship is sweet and beautiful with a good amount of spice. They of course have some obstacles along the way but get a HEA in the end. I will definitely be reading the rest of the series.

Maude delivers yet another compelling story, handling serious mental health issues and loss with care and respect.

Both characters have endured their own battles, making their hesitation toward love feel authentic and deeply moving.

As always, Maude’s storytelling is captivating from the very first page, keeping readers engaged until the end.

This last installment in the series continues to impress, and I can’t wait to see what comes next!

This book was absolutely amazing! I love the character growth and the relationship growth. I also loved the focus on mental health you don’t see a lot of that in books and as someone who struggles with that it hits home and I’ve never been happier to see it as a soul focus of a book!

I have loved getting to know the DesChamps girls through Winters' series.
The fourth book focuses on Odette or Odie, and her meet cute and subsequent interactions with billionaire, single father Wyatt.
Winters' does an amazing job delving into some very serious themes... Loss of spouse, leaving behind a young child, mental health treated with hospitalization, mental health medications, past abuse... This was more than just a light hearted royal novel and it was written very well.

This was a fun meet-cute, rom-com story. I loved the playfulness and humor, but also appreciated the more serious underlying topics for grief, anxiety, mental illnesses, etc.

It's hard to write something playful and romantic while also pulling in things people experience everyday. Maude did an excellent job of balancing all of it and hooking you.

Is there a happy ending? Of course! Are there also parts that are relatable and tap into emotions you wouldn't expect from this genre? YES! That is what makes the book interesting in my opinion.
