Which will she choose? Love, or safety?

Lilly Clarkfeld just wants to be a regular college student. In her dreams she is a nurse, has a family, and is safe. That's not much to ask.

But when she's forced to return to her childhood home because of her mother's illness, everything changes.

>Lilly's car crashes and she's taken in the night by the Dark Riders. It could have been any motorcycle club, but it was his.

Lilly's first love.

Asher Thomas is bigger, stronger, and more damaged than Lilly remembers, but he never forgot about her.

They still burn for each other, but is this the life for Lilly? Can she put her white picket fence dreams on hold and trade them in for the rough love of an outlaw biker?

Wild is the first entry in the Dark Riders Motorcycle Club serial, following the story of Lilly and Asher. The series contains strong sexual themes, and is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

Ok so this one was free on Amazon, and I love bikers, so I thought I'd give it a try.

Only thoughts I can come up is WTF did I just read??

The story had no depth, the characters were not relatable at all, they didn't even seem to have the much chemistry with each other. The book was really short, could of used all lot more build up for the story line. Highly disappointing.

4 1/2 stars. I really, really liked this book but I wish I had known it ended on a cliffhanger, and that it was a serial book. Even though This book had these issues I still really enjoyed the book and wished it was longer. I loved the idea and story behind the hero and heroine, and all the background in this book just made me connect more with both Asher and Lilly. A lot of the books I have been reading lately I have fond myself wanting to skim or skip ahead so that I could get the book done quicker, but this one was the opposite I didn't want it to end and the higher I got in percentage the more I wanted to slow down but the story kept me from being able to slow down.

When Lilly finds out her mother has cancer she leaves college and comes home. On the way home Lilly has an accident, stander with no cell phone Lilly is rescued by a MC group against her will. When the ride ends up at her moms house without giving the man her address Lilly is scared and confused. Then she finds out the man is Asher. Asher and Lilly were inseparable growing up. Lilly had it all while Asher was from the wrong side of town. Then one day her parents enrolled her in boarding school and shipped her off before she could even tell Asher goodbye. Now years later they are both very different people, but Lilly can't deny how she still feels about Asher and soon she finds herself going to him and then wrapped in Asher's dangerous world of his MC.

This was a great short story, I easily fell in love not only with Asher and Lilly but also with their story. Asher was your typical strong possessive biker but he was also the boy Lilly left behind. Lilly struggled with reconciling the past Asher with the present Asher, and trying to decide if she could live without him. I din't want this book to end and when I saw it ended the way it did I was really upset then I saw that book two was out so I was good. Hopefully book two won't end on a cliffhanger, since book three has yet to be released. I also really hope this won't be to many parts. Elsa Day did a great job creating a world that easily sucked me in and kept me hooked.

I don't really like serials (I mean why write parts of a book when you can wait a little longer to release it and put out a whole book?) So when I found out that that's what this book was and saw how highly rated it was I patiently waited for all the books to be released so I could read them together.

Had I known then what I know now I wouldn't have bothered. I don't think I read the same book as everyone else because this has got to be one of the lamest, worst written biker books out there. It made no sense! The Heroine was whiney, annoying and stupidly hard-headed and let's not even get started on the Hero. He has got to be the lamest Hero on the face of the planet.

Suffice it to say I hated this series and the only reason my dumb-ass read all of the books was cause I already purchased them. (=_=)

Lilly Clarkfeld, a freshman college student, is looking forward to the whole college experience when she gets a letter that will change her life. Her mom has been diagnosed with untreatable cancer and has been sent home. So instead of attending classes and all night parties Lilly packs up her belongings to return home to care for her mother.

On the drive home Lilly crashes her car on a lonely stretch of read. Being it's the middle of the night she doesn't have much hope for any good Samaritan until she hears the rumble of motorcyles coming her way. Fear turns to shock when the leader of the pack stops, literally picks her up, and drives her home. Thinking she's put her mom at risk Lilly's relieved when her mom tells her that the man is none other than her childhood sweet heart Asher Thomas, now vice president of The Dark Riders Motorcycle Club.

This is a romance (non adult content) MC first in serial series installment that follows the "always leave them wanting more" philosophy and ends with the typical cliffhanger 'to be continued' ending.

The story itself is superficial without depth or attention to details which drove me crazy. A non spoiler example is the scene where Lilly and Asher first meet. Lilly had crashed her car. There is no follow up on this. Police see a car wreck - they're gonna search for the driver if it's not reported which has it's own set of consequences. Car itself never towed? Attention to details in world building is just as important as the core romance to be believable. Failure to do so will not encourage me to check out any further installments or other works by an author.

As for the story itself. I was close to feeling this had a fairy tale feel which is not something I thought I'd ever say about a MC slanted read. However. In the last part of this story things changed when Lilly was allowed to actively participate on a 'club business' trip. That pretty much means that within 2 days (?) Lilly and Aston meet up and she's allowed to ride along and be privy to the inner workings of the club.......

Full disclosure. I obtained this book as a freebie on Amazon (regular price of $0.99) for 67 pages (17,000 word count). The next installment Venom sells for $0.99 (Amazon) for 55 pages (13,000 word count). The third installment Blood lists for $0.99 and has 62 pages (16,000 word count). If you add what you'd pay for and what you'd get, realize you'd be paying $2.97 (3 installments) for 184 pages (46,000 word count) with the possibility of more if there are additional installments. Along with that is the additional info that this particular installment does end on a cliff hanger and has no erotica scenes in it. Do factor in this information when considering whether to read this 'book' or not.

I'm not finished reading yet but I had to write this down first. I am TOTALLY lost on the time line of this story.. At first Lily was barely 12 when she moved away, then later on Asher says they were barely 14..

Now some of the situations weren't really making sense to me. I don't know much about real life bikers but on TV and all the other MC books I read, the biker does NOT involve his girl in club business, much less take her on a run..

NOW I'm finished. This book was entirely too short. I also didn't feel any brotherhood throughout the MC parts, what little parts there were. Overall it just wasn't long enough in my opinion.

I didn't really get into the book at all. Was way too fast paced and not enough time to develop the characters, the back story or even the freaking current plot.

Wasn't fond of the hero and even way less of the heroine. Really didn't understand the ending with his supposed VP status in the club.

I just wanted the book to end, but dammit. Cliffwanker.

Fuoco e fiamme subito? No, ma quasi. Non scherziamo, prima va svelato l’arcano: bisogna scoprire come mai lui la vede, la piazza sul sellino della sua moto senza tanti preamboli e la porta a… (non ve lo dico). In soldoni, Wild è Asher, Asher è Wild.

Sooo I seen mixed reviews on this one, but decided to give it a try. Why you ask because everyone has their own take on things. Taking a chance on this was THE. WORST. IDEA. EVVVER!!!! Seriously.

I’m not ever sure where to begin. The writing style… to say that I was not a fan would be a true understatement. What I will say is the Wild had potential to be something enjoyable, but the execution was feel short.

Lilly the heroine gets into this wreck on her way home, and instead of thinking of a plan she sits there crying in the middle of nowhere. On the hood of the car. Then fell asleep ( I’m pretty sure she was still on the hood of the car). Waking up to the sound of motorcycles, guy makes eye contact with her and tells her to get on. She politely says no I got this, then he “shots his hand on and wrapped around her waist next this she knows she’s on the back of his bike”. Woah wait! What just happened here. Where is the kicking, screaming, is this guy a rapist or something. It only got worst when he stopped at a gas station where he went in (please note he left her outside alone on the bike). Did she run? Nope. Did she yell for help? Nope.

A few pages later their back on the rode and she falls asleep on the back of his bike later waking up in front of her house. I guess at this point she decides to run into the house with her mom at that time she learns the biker was her childhood friend Asher.

Asher there’s not much to say about this guy considering the fact that I think he only said about 50 words in the entire storyline. Maybe it would have been better from his POV.

Again like I said Wild had potential maybe if the author would have added some sort of backstory to the characters or at least gave some form of reasoning as to why things are happening the way they were.

As of right now the two positions for me would have to be the cover (which caught my attention) and the fact that this was only 67 pages so I didn’t waste too much time. I’ve notice that they’re are more parts to this series and as of now I will NOT be reading those. (Shrugs)

I really enjoyed reading this, it’s a fast paced book on the mc world. Lilly gets separated from her mother and her first love Asher, when her father drags her away to live with him. Years later, all grown up, Lilly gives up her scholarship and dreams of becoming a nurse, as she discovers that her mother is ill and needs care. Her journey home sees her coming face to face with Asher, when her car breaks down, he recognises her straight away, and that’s where my heart just melted lol. The chemistry between Lilly and Asher was sweet, I loved how attentive he was towards her in front of his club, despite how she reacted to him. We get to see why Asher has no intentions of letting Lilly back into his heart, and he warns her to return back home as she is not wanted. Lilly confronts her feelings for Asher and decides that she can’t live without him, she throws caution to the wind by jumping straight onto his bike, which takes her on the path to danger with her man and a world of dark riders leaving you on a cliff hanger argh! Can't wait for the next book release!

Not sure.

I do love a good MC book but I'm not sure about this one, I didn't really connect or relate to any of the characters and parts of it were just weird and how old was Lilly when she left 12 or 14 because I'm not sure, it just didn't really make a lot of sense it seemed jumpy in places and at times it felt more like a draft.
One of the main problems for me was I just didn't like Lilly, I tried but I just couldn't bring myself to actually care about her at all. Asher, now Asher's a different story I loved him and the snippets we get of his life I just wanted to hug him. Part of me wants to read the next book because I want Asher happy and I want him to find happiness even if it's with Lilly if that's what he wants but I know she's going to be selfish and judgemental and make his life hell, if not I'd be very surprised.
Ends on huge cliffhanger as well.

I very rarely give below 3 stars but this book just doesn't have it. The plot is all over the place. I really think it had potential, but the story went way to fast and unrealistic. I mean, really, you want the love of your life to chose you and your MC so you take her to a "gun fight" for her introduction. I hope things come together better for the next book. This one has a cliffhanger.

Lilly Clarkfield always dreamed of being a nurse. When she discovers her mothers illness has gotten worse she see's no other choice but to give up everything that she holds dear, her dream, college, and her scholarship, to take care of her. A car accident during her long drive home throws her for a loop. The last thing she counted on was to be picked up by a motorcycle gang, the Dark Riders, who proceeded to take her straight to her house. It isn't until later that she realizes that the man who insisted she get on his bike is her childhood love Asher Thomas. Confused about her feelings toward Asher and how he came to be in a motorcycle gang Lilly is determined to reconnect with Asher at all costs.

Angry at Lilly for leaving him when they were children Asher can't make up his mind whether he wants her to stay or to force her to leave their hometown. Determined that if she stays she will be his and his alone Asher shows Lilly what it really means to be one of the Dark Riders. When their lives are put at risk Lilly is left with a choice. Stay with the one person she has truly loved her entire life or leave him behind forever.

I can already tell this is going to be one of those series that has you hanging on till the bitter end. Even though it was a relatively short read I honestly didn't mind. I enjoyed the flash backs of Lilly and Asher as children. It gave their mutual attraction a foundation to be built on. Can't wait till part 2 comes out!

The first one was the errors in spelling and punctuation some parts were confusing on one page they are naked, the next page she is pulling on his belt and taking his pants off, which was it I felt like I was missing a page. I want to continue this series and I hope that the next book is written better.

It was very good, loved the background to the characters and their childhood love still strong after many years apart. Lilly comes back her her childhood home after finding out her mother has cancer, on the way she crashed and was later rescued by bikers that were passing by. After a while she wakes up to finds herself heading to her mothers home without telling the biker shes with where she is going. Later she finds out Mr. Biker is none other then her childhood sweety. Asher was devastated when Lilly left thinking it was him but she was basically kidnapped by her father and moved away. Well they are together in a way but things happen and Lilly finds herself in the middle of a shootout on bikes when she rethinks about being with Asher. All come crashing down into a big cliffhanger after Asher was shot and Lilly kidnapped by the D.R. rivals. This is first part in a 3 part series.

The was a pretty good freebie. This was a little confusing on my part at first, I haven't read any MC type books, but I got the gist of it pretty soon. There were emotions, some action, steaminess, and a cliff-hanger of an ending of the worst/best sort. It definitely left me wanting to read the next book. The characters were good. Although Lily seems a little wishy-washy, I have a grow-up-fast feeling with her that I'm looking forward to. Again the ending...What?, Really! Talk about the expert type of cliff. This was a novella and definitely a one-sitter counting how fast you end up turning the pages. Overall a great surprise and hooks ya for more. Enjoy!

I have to say I was totally absorbed in the first half of the book. However, the day Lilly decided to dive into club business was the exact moment I became apprehensive, and shortly after I realized this was a novella. I commonly struggle with novellas because I feel the story is rushed and character development is lacking. With that said, I always avoid, if I know in advance, novella cliff hangers. For me it comes down to principle; publish the entire story in one novel, give your readers the entire package.

I know it was short but I just felt like it could have been a full book and it would have made it better. I have a feeling the next one will be the same way. You learn the whole of the book by reading the description made me sad cuz it seems like it could have been something..... just more

I felt like this could have been so much better. there was soooo much missing. I would have liked it more if she added more detail. I knew nothing about the chararters or their story. it seemed like she kept fastfowarding and I didn't know what was young on. I did not enjoy this book.

Issue with the serial format

This was a free book I found and one-clicked without giving it much of a thought. As part of my effort to go back and give reviews, I’ll say that it was an okay read. There is an effort to provide a background to the romance between the main characters so that it doesn’t feel like an insta-love book, but as is the case with any book that is short (serial) it goes from zero to a hundred with no growth. Truth is, after two years, I forgot what the book was about. I obviously liked it enough to fork out money for the second installment in the serial, but I can’t give more than three stars. It was a good idea, but I think it would have been better to make it a real novel. I know why she did it this way, but the story suffered.

Very fast paced.

The story is very fast passed and the book is way to short. It leaves you with a cliffhanger as well. The book took about an hour to read it.

Lilly leaves school where she is studying to become a nurse to go home and take care of her mother who has been diagnosed with untreatable cancer. On her way home she crashes her car on desolate stretch of road. A biker club passes by and stops. One man grabs her up and forces her on his back. There is something so familiar about him though. When he takes her straight to her mothers home she finds out he was her childhood friend and first love all grown up. Is there a chance for them in the adult world? They may get to find out if a rival MC doesn't kill them first.

Wild is the name that Lilly Clarkfeld's childhood friend is known by as a member of the Dark Riders Motorcycle Club. Lilly comes home from nursing school when she finds out her mother is ill with cancer. She drops out of her nursing program and comes home to a whole other world.

Asher, AKA known as Wild was Lilly's childhood first love and now is devoted to his life as part of the motorcycle club and Lilly has to decide if she wants to be part of that life. This ends in a cliffhanger, which I found disappointing.
