In Clarence County, Sheriff's Deputy Johnathan Boone juggles the demands of law enforcement with raising his spirited four-year-old daughter, Katy, all on his own. While it's second nature for him to lend a helping hand, he can't seem to shake the memory of Abagail Cooper, the woman he assisted after a traumatic attack. With her piercing blue eyes etched into his mind, fate seems to intervene when Katy ends up in Ms. Cooper's classroom for the upcoming school year.

Abby Cooper is determined to move past the ordeal she endured six months ago, but the shadows still haunt her, triggering panic attacks. Yet, amid the darkness, thoughts of the compassionate deputy soothe her troubled mind. Just as Abby begins to regain her footing, sinister threats emerge, plunging her into a new nightmare. With nowhere else to turn, she seeks refuge in the one man who offered her salvation Johnathan Boone.

As danger looms and emotions run high, John and Abby must confront their shared past and navigate the treacherous path ahead. Can they unravel the mystery of Abby's tormentor before it's too late, or will their budding connection be shattered by the looming threat?

Tilly Colson is an exceptional new author. I love romantic suspense and none of her books have disappointed.

John Boone is a swoon worthy man who cherishes and protects Abby and Katy just as they should be.

“Johnathan” is the fourth installment in the “Men of Clarence County Series.” It tells the story of Johnathon (aka John), a police officer, and Abby, a teacher at the local school. Abby was the victim of a horrific crime that has left her physically and mentally scarred, she only survived thanks to John. Together, will he be able to help her overcome the trauma and have a future together? Does her past have something to do with who is after her now? This can be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading the other three first.

This was a great read and I could not put it down - Tilly has done it again! There is never a dull moment! This book is everything you expect from a alpha male small town romance! I’m very happily hooked 😊 I did not want it to end! The chemistry between John and Abby sizzles 🔥🔥 The more time they spend together, the closer they get! You will fall in love with them, hoping that everything with work out for them and if they have a future together. The sexual tension starts from the moment they meet and only gets stronger - it is HOT 🥵

This is a lovely book that will keep you hooked! It has fun, laughs, intrigue, twists that you do not expect, and physical attraction. A thoroughly enjoyable read from page to page, one chapter to the next - at times you are metaphorical “on the edge of your chair” wondering what will happen next. Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊

The men of Clarance county are slowly getting steamier and steamier.
John is a deputy to the sheriff department, single dad, that soon becomes very overprotective and completely in love with his girl Abby.
Abby is a kindergarten teacher who has PTSD from an attack that John just happened to be the person who saved her. Their relationship takes off in a very speedy time frame ( as it seems all the men of Clarence county’s relationships go )
Long story short, he saves her, they fall in love, past events catch up to them. They save each other again and they live happily ever after.

I do have to say I enjoyed the more spicy scenes in this book compared to the previous 3. There was a small bit more detail and not as much leaving it to my imagination as the previous 🤣 still compared to other novels I read the spice is still only a 1🌶️

Now it’s off to see what happens with Abby’s brother Samuel in the last book of this series.

Good:
This was an enjoyable romantic suspense novel and a good addition to the series. The pacing was good and it held my attention. There was some suspense and action, however the primary emphasis was on relationships and family. I was rooting for John and Abby and little Katy was sweet too.
Unfortunately there were a number of niggly things that prevented me from fully embracing the story. For example, I thought it was incongruous that the title of the book was Johnathan, however in the story he was only ever referred to as John.

I loved Johnathan: Book 4 of Men of Clarence County. Johnathan is a deputy and single father to Katy. Abby is Katy’s preschool teacher. Johnathan hasn’t been able to stop thinking about Abby after he saved her six months prior from an assault. Abby just wants to forget that night ever happened. Unfortunately, is not that easy and she has PTSD. Jonathan is supportive in helping her heal from that traumatic night. I loved the storyline and the characters. He’s a strong protector and she’s strong willed and independent but needs Jonathan and Katy. I would definitely recommend this book.

Johnathan and Abigail. Hes a Deputy Sheriff that saved her during an attack, and has a four year old Katy and Abby is her teacher. He thinks of her often and seems to be there when she needs help and comfort. She is still plagued with the aftermath of her tramatic assault. The only comfort she feels is when shes thinking of the Deputy that saved her. There are so many emotional filled moments in this story that will make you feel good and warm all over. Theres also danger suspense and romance and an alpha teddy bear. Really enjoyed this story. Very entertaining and couldnt put it down.

Ahh…another romantic suspense that I couldn’t put down! Not only did this book feature an ongoing mystery, but also a protective, caring main male character. After a traumatic experience left Abby being rescued by local deputy, Johnathan, she cannot escape the odd, frightening things that keep happening to her-each bringing up the past again and again, leaving her scared and vulnerable. Johnathan, always the protector to those he loves, is relentless in solving the mystery and keeping Abby safe. Their way to a romantic relationship is so heartwarming, natural and relatable. I can’t get enough of The Men of Clarence County and their fierce, protective natures.

John and Abby’s story……how many times can they put this girl in a path of danger. And how obvious was the attacks and accidents…..The fact that she said I’m terrified of water and 2 minutes later she’s falling in said water. How many times was she going to be attacked or targeted in the first half of the book.

Now don’t get me wrong the story itself was good and I absolutely did not expect who the bad guy was but it was a little overkill with how many times she was attacked or targeted in the first half of the book. Abby definitely wasn’t as whiney and trying to be so independent as Emma did in the last book so that was good.

Still a decent easy read I’m looking forward to Sam’s story.

The 4thbook in the Men of Clarence County series was as wonderful as the first 3. I loved that we got to see the couples from the previous books in the series. And I loved watching Johnathan and Abby finally admit their feelings for each other. John’s daughter Katy may have been my favorite character in the series. The last half of the book left me on edge and I could not put it down. I kept telling myself one more chapter, but each chapter left me on a cliffhanger and I had to keep going. I can’t wait for the release of the final book in the series.

Great series

I love this series and up till now had no complaints.Well this isn't really a complaint just an opinion.I love John and abbys story (I knew who was terrorizing Abby early on by the way)but she is such a whiner.she doesn't want to go to hospital..she doesn't want to tell hank what's going on or her family. She is a schoolteacher who should know better.nothing gets solved if you don't report itin.i get her trauma and I'm glad John stepped into get things done.overall good book but Abby needs to suck it up and act her age !! Series so far 5 but Abby get a 4

I particularly enjoyed the relationship between him and Jackson!! Their banter was HILARIOUS.

A new author with a great series and book 4 has my favourite hero so far John Boone. He might have thought staying away from Abby was for the best but with subtle little pushes from his cute daughter he can’t help but have a change of mind. Just loved that wee one.
All the feels and a braver than she knows heroine who learns to overcome her PTSD and along the way gets a forever family.

A story full of a cast of great characters. Many introduced in earlier stories but still get real sense of what they are about in this edition. A town that looks after its own but that doesn’t prevent mysteries, twist or tragedies from occurring. There is more than just a single tale wrapped up in this community. There are some reveals you may not see coming but there are of course a few that are what’s been wished for. Thank you Santa!

Insta-love

Cute story, fast timeline, single dad x teacher romance, and insta-love.

I’m a sucker for a single parent romance and was going in wanting some great quality family time between the FMC and the MMC with the daughter. I was sad we didn’t get more overall group scenes with the whole family. While we did get more towards the end of the story I wish there was more through out.

The hits keep coming that leaves you wondering. Suspense keeps you hanging on edge while the beautiful chemistry between John & Abby melts your heart. You have to love Katy's sweet innocence, John's alpha protector side & Abby's strength. All the characters we love fill the pages & add so much substance. Love Emma & her dirty mind. You will love this crew! Honest review.

John is not only an officer, but he is the man who literally saved his best friends younger sister. A single dad to an adorable 4 year old, her teacher is none other than Abby, his best friends younger sister. Not only do they struggle to express the growing feelings between each other, but poor Abby suffers PTSD. The struggles are real. This is a new to me falling in love story.

Abby and John both experienced a horrific event that left them with PTSD. Besides the constant nightmares, Abby has the outward scar she tries to hide. John deals with the guilt of whether he made the right decisions that night. They are drawn to each other, but the incident remains between them. This is a good story of overcoming it all and their slow building romance.

As always love all the characters. I feel like I know them personally. This book the threat wasn't as large as the past books but it still had the potential to be deadly. I suspected about halfway through of who it could be. A couple twists you never see coming. Loved Abby and John's story. Cannot wait to read Sam's, the preview looked so good!

This is one of my favorites from this series so far! John in all his single dad glory was everything I love in a protective mmc, and he’s a sheriff’s deputy😮‍💨 I loved seeing how much John helped Abby work through her trauma even when she tried to go through it alone.

-romantic suspense
-sheriff deputy mmc / teacher fmc
-small town
-he teaches her self defense

I think this was my favorite book of the series so far. The pacing seemed a bit wonky at times but the connection with the characters was on point with this one. The relationship between Abby and Sam was my favorite, but I hope we get to see a little more growth in the next one. Especially when it comes to their mom. Johnathan was great, and I think he was a great MMC.

love this series

Tilly has done it again, she has made me fall in love with yet another book boyfriend. I’ve read the other three books in the series and one thing I love is that you see updates from the other couples in every book. Well done

John and Abby and Katy are adorable together. The suspense was great and I didn't see it coming at all. I love how John takes care of Abby in all the little ways and I love that Abby saves them in the end.

Similar to the others but I’d like to think it’s normal for a cute romance book like this one. There’s always a plot line and they’re just perfect if you want to read something simple and quick ! ❤️
