This story was captivating. A journey through trials and tribulations, family bonds broken and others strengthened. This story had it all for me. Book one can be read as a complete story of you're not ready to commit to a series but I found myself wanting more at the end. I wasn't ready to disconnect from these characters and quickly found myself in book 2.
