I really enjoyed this book and think it could make a great “year-long read” for entrepreneurs. It’s not filled with brand new ideas if you’ve already read your fair share of business and personal development books, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
What stood out to me is the way it’s broken into weekly lessons or focus topics. That structure makes it easy to stay on track and regularly check in with yourself… whether you’re trying to grow your business, pivot in a new direction, or just make sure things still feel aligned. It’s the kind of book that’s less about rushing through and more about letting the ideas sink in week by week.

As a young entrepreneur, I found this book both insightful and affirming. While a lot of Sara’s advice echoed values and lessons I’ve already learned along the way, it was encouraging to see them reinforced by someone who has built something so impressive.
What I especially appreciated was how each chapter began with a real-life story from Sara’s own journey. It made the advice feel grounded, relatable, and genuinely motivating. She offers not just inspiration but practical tips and reflection prompts that helped me gain clarity on a few areas of my own business.
Whether you're just starting out or have years of experience, this is a great read. Quick, honest, and full of heart. I can definitely see myself returning to it as a reference in the years to come.
Probably useful for someone with limited life/work experience, but at 50 years old, a lot of this was known and fairly common sense. Good for reflection though, but not ground breaking.
5 ⭐️ I’m a big fan of Sara Davies and without clouding judgment, this was a fantastic book. Was suitably candid and balanced honesty and truth, great self development book.
An okay read, although it didn’t give me any “aha” moments. Davies intended it to be a sort of manual that a reader sticks to for a year, with one lesson to put into practice each week. I didn’t follow this recommendation, choosing to read it from start to finish like a normal book instead. I think the lesson that resonated the most with me was about the importance of knowing your own goals as a way of preventing comparisonitis.
