Indigo Taylor-Anderson thought she had it all — until her husband's betrayal shattered her world. With newfound courage, she walks away from a life of mistreatment, leaving everything behind. Indigo finds herself navigating the tough streets of Philadelphia, facing challenges only the truly resilient woman can endure. Amidst the trials, she meets Quesnel "Quest" MacQuoid, a former drug lord freshly out of a decade-long imprisonment. Like Indigo, Quest returns to a life stripped of familiar comforts and support.
Drawn together by their shared struggles and a need to rebuild, Indigo and Quest form a bond that transcends the chaos around them. Their relationship blooms into a passionate romance, even as the shadows of their pasts haunt them. Together, they confront secrets, face betrayals, and uncover mysteries that threaten to unravel the fragile hope they've found in each other.

My first book by this author & I can’t wait for part 2!
Even though they met in the most unconventional way I LOVE Quest & Indigo!! Who would’ve thought from the way they met that things would play out the way they did! They were literally in the right place at the right time to be exactly what each other needed!
Malachi was TRASH! He pmo from the first chapter 😭 I just knew he was going to be a problem!
Quest has so many loose ends from his past it kept me on edge wondering what was going to happen next!
They’re both are holding so many secrets from each other I can’t wait to see how everything plays out in part 2! This was a quick really good read! Can’t wait to get into more from P. Wise!
This was a good read. The story had a nice flow to it, and the characters are very likable. Although Indigo and Quest meet in an unlikely place, they make it work, which allows them to grow closer. I love how they both are there grinding to be better and encouraging to each other. But they still have some unresolved issues from their pasts. And from the looks of that bombshell ending, things are about to get real. Can't wait to read what happens next.
Heartbreaks, High Stakes, and Hot Romance: A Fiery Journey in ‘A Thug Made For Me
“A Thug Made For Me” marks my explosive first encounter with P. Wise’s evocative storytelling, and it has set a towering inferno of expectations. This isn’t just a love story; it’s a gripping saga of resilience, redemption, and raw, unyielding passion. The novel kicks off with Indigo Taylor-Anderson, whose world is shattered by betrayal, catapulting her from a life of luxury into the gritty streets of Philadelphia. It’s here that her path collides with Quesnel “Quest” MacQuoid, a former drug lord whose recent release from a decade behind bars has left him battling shadows of his past. From the get-go, the narrative punches hard, painting Quest’s profound isolation and the deep betrayals that welcome him back to a world he hardly recognizes. His vulnerability and rugged complexity magnetically pull Indigo and us as readers deeply into his orbit. As their relationship evolves from that of strangers to intertwined souls amidst the chaos of their lives, the narrative spins a seductive web of challenges and profound emotional evolution. P. Wise masterfully cranks up the drama when it’s revealed that Indigo’s estranged husband is none other than Quest’s parole officer. This adds a deliciously perilous layer of complexity and danger to their burgeoning romance, igniting a powder keg of tension that promises to explode. The cliffhanger that caps off this fiery installment leaves readers salivating for more, desperately yearning to see how Indigo and Quest will navigate their explosive new reality. With “A Thug Made For Me,” Wise delivers a potent cocktail of suspense, heart-pounding romance, and psychological depth, all set against the raw backdrop of urban Philadelphia. The characters are exquisitely sculpted, showcasing their flaws and strengths in vivid detail, ensuring that every page thrums with authenticity and emotional impact. Awarding this book five stars for its scorching plot, richly drawn characters, and the masterful interweaving of heartbreak and fierce hope. If you’re a connoisseur of riveting urban romances with real stakes, this book is an absolute must-devour.
I’m not really sure how I feel about this book. I’m gonna read part 2 to see if it gets better, but I hate movies and books that holds unnecessary secrets. It’s stupid, there was no reason for her to not tell this man she was married. She could have said something the moment he told her he wanted to be in a relationship. I felt the author could have kept the street stuff out. For me it didn’t add anything to the story, it didn’t connect. I also did not feel the connection btw the two characters. Idk something was missing and I can’t put my finger on it. But it was engaging enough to make it to the end. I did skip some parts just due to it being overly detailed.
Okay….i was NOT expecting that! Indigo girl you got a LOT of ‘plaining to do (in my Ricky voice) lol. Honestly she should have been spoken up but I do understand the dilemma. One at first she didn’t owe him anything. Two, after finalizing the paperwork maybe she wanted to prove she was leaving him.? Now knowing how Quest is tho, this is not going to be pretty! The journey that Quest has taken has been pure HELL! The trauma he experienced I couldn’t imagine living on through that. The payback that’s coming tho…they better be ready! I wonder how everything will play out!?!?!
This was such a great read. I feel for Quest I know it was devastating for him to loose his family and get shot and locked up all in the same evening. I feel a way because Indi should have told him what was up. This could possibly back fire and his PO would set him up to go back inside and also this whole situation is just the thing for her husband to hold over her head to force her to go back to him. I hope Quest is as solid as he say and don’t hold this against her because she did tell him she had baggage and he still want her and she was very genuine so there was no way she knew her husband was his PO. I hope Naomi leave Naim snake ass. Can’t wait for part 2.
Now this is a good book!!!…Not a single dull moment from the 1st to the last page!!!. I love that although she was left with nothing, Indigo found the strength to not go back, even with the threats from Malachi!!!.. I truly wanna know who planted that mess on Quest because baby, I know that fire and arrest are tied together!!!… I bet Malachi is the man behind all this mess!!!… Naomi seems like such a sweetheart and I can’t wait to see what part she plays with Indigo!!!… I hope Quest don’t walk away from Indigo knowing she’s married to his PO!!…
This was indeed a page turner. It was sad that Quest had to be on the phone listening to the tragic as it went down then to end up behind bars. Kah is turning out to be a solid friend, I hope Quest is able to discover who set him up. Indigo should have followed her mind and stayed outside since she wasn't sure what building Malachi worked in giving herself time to tell Quest her full truth now what's going to happen, I think Malachi is going to try and do Quest dirty now with two targets on his back what will he do.
Whew chile this book was definitely a breath of fresh air in a sense of it’s nice to see that Quest wasn’t already rich and on top of the world. He was a man that lost it all and starting all over again. These days, all the FMC are pretty & the FMC is rich.
I don’t like how Quest immediately assumed Nai betrayed him. I wish he would have had a conversation with him instead of immediately thinking he the ops. Hoping in the future books, it becomes clear.
Indigo definitely should have told that man her situation from the jump.
Malachi is so childish. He knows that Indigo is beautiful and he lost out on a good thang. Liyah is not to be trusted I bet she working with the opps. Naim broke the code by not telling Quest the truth when it happened. I like Kha he is down for whatever. He matches energy. Malachi has some dirty tricks up his sleeve with the divorce. He is too insecure to just let go.
This book started off with excitement. I stopped reading another book to start reading this book. Oh it’s so so good. This is definitely a must read. I wish I could give it more than five stars. P. Wise thank you for not making this book along out storyline. You gave us excitement and drama and passion and romance in this book. I can’t wait to start reading part II and III.
Let me give you a warning… There are a large amount of grammatical/spelling errors in this book. I truly wish they had been one more pass through the proofreading process, but I also can extend grace. I enjoyed the plot and how the MMC and FMC cross paths and connected. The cliffhanger also had me scrambling to download the next part. If you are willing to look over the mistakes, this will be a good read.
I LOVED Indigo and Quest. The chemistry between them was effortless, and what began out of necessity turned into something deeper and more meaningful. I loved how they naturally had each other’s backs from the jump—no hesitation, no questions asked. It was refreshing to see that kind of connection.
Indigo’s secret definitely added a layer of suspense. I wish she could have spoken her truth but I guess that’s part of what made the story so engaging—real-life situations, real emotions.
This was a solid read. I’m excited to see what happens next in part 2
Quest! Quest! Quest! Love everything about him and his energy! The connection between him and Indigo is beautiful and true! She should’ve been came clean with him since he was completely honest with her!
Can’t wait for part 2 cause it’s about to get REAL! Forest book I’ve read by P.Wise and I was not disappointed at all
I read this book so far and now I’m mad because I have to wait for book 2!! I know book 2 is going to be 🔥🔥! Indigo and Quest were so good to and for each other! I can’t wait to see what they do in book 2! Malachi is going to make it hard (but I’m sure they’ll stand together)!!! P. Wise, play don’t make is wait too long for the next book!!!!
The page turn So quickly I read this book so quickly It was so juicy it was so good so thrilling and I just love these 2 together but that cliffhanger Wowza that That not that of my body Because now she's Pregnant This is about to be interesting I know this next book is about to be good on my way to read it right now
Malachi getting on my nerves, Indi know she should’ve told that man everything after he told her about his baggage! What you waiting for?!?!?! And Aaliyah needs to chill because you know who you had a baby by 😒 him being in the streets wasn’t a problem when it benefitted you so don’t blame him now. Naim and Naomi……🤦🏽♀️ ima see how yall play out
I love this story, both characters are likable. I like how things go smoothly and feelings grew organically between them and how they take care of each other. What I don’t understand is how he served his full ten year sentence but is still on probation. This seems odd to me as if he served his time then he should not be in papers.
I love seeing A female character finally get someone who treats them right , seeing how they’re both at their low but their connections and and willing to try with each other is adorable , lol the attraction is pretty instant and she doesn’t ask much questions just wants to make sure hers good, their isn’t to much drama . Ate this read up also not a lot of spice 1.5/5 ..
I kinda predicted that ending was going to happen. It is such a small world. I hope Quest doesn't stop dealing with her because of it. I love Indigo's personality, and she is such a good person. I think Malicah realized he messed up big time. I'm about to see what part 2 is hitting on
It was a good start. Omg it was so cute how they met. But I wish Indy was fast enough at telling her damn secret. She mentioned like 3 times she needs to tell him and never tells him. Now he found out. Then Naim gotta go. AK gots to go. The jut still out on Laiyah. I gotta see how grimey she get. He was too civil when he saw her again…on to part 2
Definitely was a page turner!! I truly enjoyed this book and I loved how the couple met!! It’s not a lot of drama and I love that!! It’s a great flow and must read!!!
I really enjoyed this book! Am I mad it’s a cliffhanger yes but I can’t wait for the next book to come out. Going through P wise catalog and I must say I’m enjoying myself so I would definitely recommend this book.
I like Quest and indigo together.I love how they took care of each other. Oh boy I can see it now Malachi is going to be a problem for Quest and indigo.i enjoyed this book I can't wait to read the next book
I talky enjoyed this. Malachi is a whol a-hole and doesn't deserve Indigo at all. I hope everything works out between her and Quest because they both deserve some type of happiness. I'm expecting a lot more twists when the next book comes out.
Ain't this some sugar honey ice tea. Who wouldve the PO was the husband. Am so glad for Indigo and Quest but at the same time am scared because she now has a lot on her plate .Man o man this novel is gonna be a hell of a good read can't wait for book 2
This is now one of my favorite books. I got to the end and was in pure tears like Whyyyy….. where is part 2😩. Great read. Shows genuine love is found in different places.
I love the way this story is playing out. I’m in love with quest for he’s the real vip and this story line is in point and the details are so well written. I can’t believe it ended like that. I need part two now!!!
Why? Oh why does it have to be him. I am so invested now. They are so cute together. Now I’m sad. Please let me know when two comes out……. Great writing, I enjoy your book , 👍🏽👍🏽
