This book irked me so bad. I couldn’t finish. Between saying mines, bae, and calling her man daddy every other word I couldn’t finish this. These characters are supposed to be educated and professional but say “mines” every other word really sounds ignorant. Also, I didn’t like the writing. I started skipping chapters at one point.

Despite the multiple error I’m still going to give this here read its stars and the author her 🌹🌹🌹🌹! The love shown and expressed in this here book life! As of lately most books are mentioning mental health and I’m here for it especially since it plays a major roll in everyday life!

With that said let’s get on the love between Mackenzie and Montrey - BEAST FRIENDS! Babe, the love these two have for one another is like no other! To be in love with each from the age of six until they got together as adults had teary eyed! My girl got tired of holding in her feelings and seeing Trey flaunt around with other woman, so she decided enough was enough and expressed all them feelings to him. Now not knowing what his reaction would be she went for it. When I tell you that Trey has been waiting for this day for so long, her words left him SPEECHLESS! From there is where it all started for them. Oh can’t forget that both set of parents been waiting and praying for this day to come - lol. That’s where it all started.

Even though they were the happiest and finally together, my girl Mac had a stalker that just wouldn’t let her be! Like this man was delusional - lmao!!! He was a pro football player but was dealing with mental issues. He honestly thought he was engaged to Mac and she was expect he child! Babe when I tell you I was lost for words, that’s exactly what I was! This man stalked her, post about her saying they were together, this man had the WORLD think they were madly in love with each other! Like really! But when he found out that Trey and Mac are now more than best friends this here man lost it and became unhinged!

Then you have Cheyanne who worked for Mac and later down the line they become the best of friends. She has Mac back like no other and vice versa. Chey was 100% team Trey, but had no issue telling him how she felt and what would happen if he hurts her friend! But in the process of it all, she meets Duke. She captured his attention and he definitely captured her. What I loved about them is they spoke their mind and didn’t sugar coat anything with each other. Oh and let’s not forget that Duke is Trey best friend - LOVE IT!!

By the way I don’t like Sara! She bullied Mac from middle school and through high school and still could get the man she wanted!!! She just worked my nerves through the entire book, but I feel there’s more to the story about her!

There is so much to discuss about this here book, however, I don’t want to tell no more than I already have. Headed over to start that Part Two as Part Three is dropping soon! Definitely look forward to more from this author!

I thoroughly enjoyed this! I gave it 5 stars because it was well-written. That makes a huge difference when a story just flows seamlessly from scene to scene. And that happened. When things are adequately described and explained. When the dialogue is fitting and gives us insight into the characters! The execution was perfect.

I just found it weird that we got a glimpse into the parents sex life lol that felt awkward and unnecessary 😂😂😂 And I appreciated the religious references but it felt odd alongside super sexual references and scenes lol Also, Montrey's character was interesting... He's a professional, gangster and then sexually inexperienced ? But yet him and Mackenzie both seem very knowledgeable, going at it like rabbits despite being innocent and naive lol? Very contradictory but I didn't take away from the story. I still enjoyed it 🤷🏾‍♀️

Also, the fact that Mackenzie and Trey's relationship was surprisingly sexual and very nasty🥵👿😏 caught me off guard. I thought this would be a cute romance lol but boy, I was wrong.
It also took a sharp twisted turn with Travis' psychotic character lol that kept the book very interesting.

I liked all the characters and I'm eager to see what happens next! On to the next book🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️

This book had a good story line, but it was sometimes hard to follow due to spelling issues. I wanted to continue to give this book a chance and not place it in the DNF pile. There were also some cringey parts for me, one being the pet names “Daddy”. This was the name the character used to address her own father, but turned around to address her man the same way, in the bedroom - this was used throughout the book. Overall, there is great potential in this book. I would recommend the book to those who can get past the spelling issues and the use of "Daddy" in different ways

Are you sane!?

The amount of foolery that popped off in this book, I was not prepared. Imagine being in love with your childhood friend and never having the courage to let it be known… now as adults, you do and the feelings are reciprocated; living in a state of bliss and the next thing you know… CHAOS!! Travis and Sara… two delusional individuals that needed a couch b/c there is NO way their state of mind went this far… especially Travis!!! The way book one ended has me on edge!!! Mackenzie and Trey… come on!! I am also ready for what is brewing between Chey and Duke!!

Trigger Warning: Stalking

These men don’t take no for an answer regardless of the drama surrounding their ladies. You get to see what it’s like dealing with a stalker who has mental health issues. You have just enough spice to lower your blood pressure from all the twist and turns. This book does end on a cliffhanger.

Ready for Love

This book is a page turner from start to finish. As a reader born and raised in Tampa, I was excited and felt an immediate connection, while reading about Tampa's staples. Many thanks to the author for writing part 1 of such an emotional thought provoking book.

Trey and Mac

A high school sweetheart love story that stood the test of times. Trey and Mac. were destined for each other. I love the way he love her whether he was in a friends zone or in the relationship. Chey and Duke crack me up. But I love the way Duke loves her.
