The Ancient Secrets series returns!Every hero has an origin story. Ashra Shah's is her darkest secret.
As Ashra and Elliot adjust to their new roles as parents and recover from the ordeal of their last adventure, an old enemy returns, threatening to take everything from them.
To unmask this ghost from the past, Ashra must revisit the very beginning—her first mission as a spy.
A harrowing tale of friendship, love, betrayal, and death.
The Ashra Enigma is a tour de force into the life of Ashra Shah. We are not talking about dull, dry facts. Get ready to experience the emotional pain, physical pain, and all of the pain that ultimately shapes Ashra's entire life.
I found the most powerful insights came from when Ashra was a young girl of 14 under the tutelage of her Uncle. Like any young girl, she wanted to please him and had to learn swiftly that he wasn't always trustworthy.
Reading a novel about spycraft through the eyes of a person learning the trade is heart-poundingly scary. You feel the adrenaline rush just as much as the character.
I particularly liked the ending of this book. I felt like there was some closure for Professor Elliott Brand, Ashra, and their new baby girl. Things are on good footing, ready for a new adventure.
I love The Ancient Secrets saga. This tenth book is powerfully written, showing a different culture than those we know but are cuasi similar to ours. Subtlety has the means of going into the development of the story showing different sides of the plot, personages and the properties of two cultures: one seeking the world power, and the other fighting to keep independent and free for living its own standards. Very good reading, and worth of re-reading again. Thank you Mr. T.S. Falk!!
Great back story for Ashra and how she got her start in Nepalese Intelligence. Always knew she was a badass, but know you find out why. One of the best so far in this series.
Each one of these books get better and better. I love reading the continuing stories of our protagonist and their lives all these stories make them seem more real. I continue to wait for more stories from this. You write fantastic. I wish I had the ability.
Not like the rest of the series, basically a boring prequel. None of the history and charm of the previous books, just a low rent spy thriller that wasn't thrilling
I've read all ten of this series and they are all good...or better. This story is one of the best out of the ten....... But it is very poorly edited and or proofread. There are literally 100s of mistakes....misspelled words, missing words, wrong words, words in wrong places.... IF....someone was paid to proofread this book, you were robbed. I enjoy your stories Falk,,,,but hire a good proofreader.....we will all enjoy them more. I would have rated this book a 5 which is very rare for me, except for all of the distracting errors!!!!
As with all previous books of the author, this is a well written, fun read. There's plenty of action and the stakes are clear throughout. I'd go so far as to suggest someone consider making a movie of this one.
Theo did it again and can't wait to read the next in this series. T S Falk is one hell of a story teller and keeps your interest all the way through the book . Thank you for telling the rest of the story. Bravo!
Loved this one. I was so taken in by Asha’s story. This was fantastic. Cannot wait to read more. Love the characters and hope the next story is as earth pounding as this one.
He only bad thing about T S Falk books is that I always finish them the day I start them! I can’t help it, no matter how much I would like to savor them. This one did not disappoint and filled in a lot of the back story of the main character. No fan should miss it, and if you haven’t become a fan yet, get started!
