Naomi McKay’s re-release of her heartwarming series brings readers back into the lives of the Walker family, and this time, it’s Wyatt and Tilly’s turn to take centre stage. Building Her Forever is an engaging and well-written romance that provides a delightful second-chance love story, where the emotional stakes are high, and the chemistry between the characters is palpable.

The author does an excellent job of building on the foundation set in Breaking Her Defences, giving us a deeper look into Wyatt and Tilly’s relationship. Their journey toward a happily-ever-after is filled with moments of tension, vulnerability, and, of course, undeniable attraction. Naomi skillfully weaves in the dynamics of the Walker family, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes readers feel like part of the family themselves. The supportive yet sometimes complicated relationships add richness to the overall narrative and provide just the right amount of drama.

What stands out in this book is the depth of the characters. Wyatt and Tilly feel real and relatable, and their emotional growth throughout the story is something I couldn't help but root for. The romance is engaging without feeling overly dramatic, and Naomi's writing style kept the pages turning effortlessly.

For fans of family-centred romances with heartfelt moments and charming characters, this book is a must-read. It’s easy to get swept up in the Walker family's world, and now that I had a taste of Wyatt and Tilly's journey, I don't want to wait for the next in the series.

A great addition to this series and in this book we get to read Wyatt and Tilly’s very complicated story. They have a very strong attraction but have not been in a position to solidify their relationship especially with Tilly having moved away and when she returns Wyatt discovers that she has been hiding a huge secret. Wyatt is very attentive and prepared to all he can to give Tilly the life she deserves but also is willing to sacrifice their happiness. I loved the story and all the characters and the complexity of all the relationships which at times are very intricate but that adds to the appeal of the story. Looking forward to reading more in this series because there are still some relationships that need more definition.

I volunteered to read and review Building her Forever . This story is wonderful . It's full of wonderful and unique characters . This story is a second chance romance with all the feels . It's an emotional moving story . Wyatt and Tilly were together for some time . Tilly left to get a law degree . Tilly found herself in a bit of a pickle when she realized she was pregnant and her scholarship didn't leave room for a baby or childcare . She has no choice but to return and face Wyatt and his family . Wyatt has some baggage for his past and needs to deal with that . Tilly and Wyatt never stop loving each other they just need to fight for each other . This is an absolutely outstanding romance . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

Fantastic!!

This is my first book by this author and I really loved it. This is the second book in the Residents of Walker Lake series and I really enjoyed it. I loved Wyatt and Tilly's love story. Tilly went away for college carrying a secret with her. She comes back to Walker Lake 8 months pregnant to tell Wyatt that he is about to be a father again. She wants him to be a part of his child's life even though he doesn't want her or so she thinks. Wyatt will do everything to show her that he wants to give her other choices but truly wants her back. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the other books.

I am really enjoying the "Walker" family books. Wyatt Walker is a single father who has spent his whole life trying to not be like his father whose secrets keep being revealed. Tilly is finally following her dreams of getting her degree when she finds out she's going to be single mother. Tilly and Wyatt both have deep rooted insecurities that cause avoidable issues in their relationship if they were ready to be vulnerable with each other. But once they talk, they hit their stride a couple! I did enjoy the book and think learning seeing how this family interacts only has me wanting more of the other characters! I think things are only going to get more interesting in this series.

Small town unexpected pregnancy romance. Wyatt let Tilly go to experience the world because he didn't want to hold her back from her dreams while she thought she wasn't good enough for him because he had his life together and she didn't. But when she finds out she's pregnant, she comes back to Wyatt's brother, Adam, who she worked for and held the scholarship for her because there was no baby clause. Wyatt, a single dad already, jumped in to make sure that Tilly was taken care of and as they worked together for the baby, they began to open up to their miscommunication issues in this sweet and wonderful book. Looking forward to the next one.

This is the second book in the Walker Lake series and it really captures the reader's attention. What really made this story flow was the brilliantly written characters even the secondary characters gave great weight to the story. All of the characters had great depth and even though the back story was a little messy to keep track of this author believes in family no matter how it comes about. She truly understood every characters motivation and kept the storyline crisp and moving right along. Families are messy, scary, fun, and come with nuances that have to be worked through by everyone involved. The love of family came through strongly throughout every page.

Wyatt and Tilly are not exactly communicating very well at the moment. Wyatt doesn't want Tilly to "settle" by being with him. Tilly is convinced he doesn't want her anymore. They are both reluctant to say anything about what they really want and need. Tilly comes back home to Walker Lake and she's has been keeping secrets. Wyatt couldn't be more shocked when he goes to see his brother and finds Tilly there. Can they get out of their own way to get the HEA they deserve? Get this book and find out. Sorry, no spoilers.

The second book in The Residents of Walker Lake series and it's Wyatt and Tilly's turn to give their love a second chance......
Returning back to Walker Lake with only 2 weeks left until her baby is born, Tilly and Wyatt need to come to an arrangement and sort out their feelings for each other, but the lack of communication and misunderstandings could force them apart for good!
Great storyline with wonderful characters and loved the HEA.
I received an ARC copy of this book from the author, and I'm willingly leaving an honest review.

If you love a second chance story with a great supporting family, then like me you should really enjoy this re-release from the Residents of Walker Lake series.
Have to say I just wanted to shake Tilly and Wyatt a time or two, and shout just talk openly to each other. However, that would have ended my read too soon. Loved Wyatt’s daughter, she is definitely a hoot, as well as some of the other characters.

I received a review reader’s copy of the book, and I am leaving this review voluntarily

Wyatt, Adam, Bennet, Callum, Allie and the rest of Walker Family.

Tilly and Wyatt each have their own issues. Till feels Wyatt does not want her. Wyatt does not want Tilly to just settle.
They each needs to open up and communicate amid the chaos of the
Walker family drama that is going on.
Can they have a Happily Ever After?

This book has suspense, intrigue and family drama.

Great Job Naomi McKay !!!!!

Don’t we all know how important communication is??? With all the Walker family drama, which escalated quite quickly, throw in two people who only wants the best for each other, but without proper communication, things got difficult.
Love will always win at the end – and learning during the journey makes the characters so relatable and family ties are stronger than ever.
This is a beautiful book filled with tension and romance. We all love second chances and finding your forever!

This is Wyatt and Tilly’s story, which is a complicated one. Wyatt’s family life just got more complicated with finding out about siblings that he never knew existed. To make matters worse, he feels anger and betrayal that this information was kept from him. Then Tilly comes back into his life, eight months pregnant with his child. Both of their feelings come back to life, but will they be able to overcome their present situation?

Wyatt and Tilly take a relatable journey to their second chance in this story. It delves into insecurities, even if not rational, that people tend to have... of course you just shake your head at them as you read saying 'just talk it out already!' but know human nature dictates that is just too simple... Luckily they get their feelings out in the open so they can be happy together! I am definitely curious about the other characters now and wonder what their stories will lead to.

A family drama causing a rift between brothers. An option for education took lovers apart. Not communicating got them all in a mess. Reading their story how to get out of it is a movie in itself. Never a dull moment, lots of secrets coming out, new worries appear .
Will they finally talk? Read to find out.

This is book 2 in a series but can be read as a stand-alone. Wyatt and Tilly both have insecurities and need to learn to communicate. But they are realistic, as are the other characters. I found this set of friends and family are very tight and supportive despite the issues that crop up. Looking forward to the next book!

We get a messy family that has its laughter, love, fights & little tricks to annoy yet stand by each other. There was so much happening with each character. Wyatt & Tilly definitely fustrated me with their miscommunication. Their love though was sweet & protective. I had fun reading the dynamics & the way life rolled. Enjoyable.

Wyatt and Tilly have to learn some difficult lessons on their way to a happily ever after. Between one making assumptions that he knows what should happen, her insecurities, secrets galore, this story will take you for a ride Iike no other. Even with all those problems, the love these two have shines by the end. Truly a lovely story.

Wyatt and Tilly’s story shows how sometimes despite all good intentions two people are meant to be together. How these two work out their differences to make their family work is a great read. Life seems to want to add a lot of problems for them to overcome to finally get their HEA, which they eventually muddle through to the right outcome.

I truly enjoyed this re-release of the second book in the Walker Lake series.

Friends, family, love and second chances. Tilly and Wyatt sure are my favorite main characters in the series so far and especially the chemistry between them is really good.

True love always wins in the end.

Back in Walker lake to visit some characters we first met in Breaking her defenses. And it's Wyatt and Tilly's story. Tilly is back in Walker lake, and very pregnant with Wyatt's child. Their lives are both complicated and chaotic but Wyatt wants to do everything to support Tilly and there child.
In the background the Walker family have complications and rifts and surprises to resolve. That do this with love laughter and understanding.
This was an entertaining read with heart, style and complications to keep be hooked from the start.

Building Her Forever - The Residents of Walker Lake #2 Naomi McKay

Family lies and secrets fuel this well written second instalment of the series. Wyatt and Tilly are far from being a couple, struggling with communication and assumptions, plus a baby on the way. Add in a cast of memorable secondary characters, and you have a story filled with love, acceptance, and a simmering romance as they find their HEA. Thanks to the author for the chance to read and review her work.

Great book!

When Tilly comes back to town, dropping out of uni and pregnant with Wyatt's baby, for him it couldn't have been the worst time.

Tilly and Wyatt are sweet and very aware of each other. She wants him too step up about the baby but he had family issues to deal with and something is standing in the way. They have a great connection though.

Very well done. Relatively simple plot but the characters make the story.
