Sometimes the unexpected is just what we’re looking for…

Jasper Mason

I should have known something wasn’t right the moment I was told someone was coming to see a piece of the land. Our land.

Marlow’s Boys Ranch started as a dream, but easily became reality. That reality was as tranquil and peaceful as a sunset.

Until she got out of the car.

Mia Evans, as I live and breathe. It’s been fourteen years since I’ve seen her, and not a day has passed that I haven’t thought of her, or wished things could be different.

And now she’s here to take more than just a tiny slice of land. She’s the mom of one of our own.

The signs were there, I should have seen it. Maybe I didn’t want to. But now, I can’t have a moment of peace with her constantly around, winning over every person here.

How will I ever survive her leaving for a second time?

I can’t. I won’t. I have to keep her at arm’s length until she leaves. Then, and only then, can I go back to my peaceful life. Just the way I like it.

Mia Evans

I’m finally free of the disaster of my marriage, and ready to find the freedom of my son and myself. Question is, at what cost?

Before I dropped my boy off ten months ago, I never thought I’d be back here. It’s been since the summer before freshman year of college. The summer I fell in love. And the summer I got my heart broken for the first time.

My son is safe, and that’s all that matters to me. At least, I thought so.

When I open the car door, I know what I’ll find. I know Jasper works here and I know he’s been providing a roof over my son’s head with no explanation.

What I don’t know. . . is how I will react to being near him again after all this time. Opening up our past is the last thing I need. Though my heart is saying differently.

Bring Me Home is all about love, heartbreak, healing, and most importantly, second chances.

Let this be said, this book will make you cry at least once, but I think that’s important as it allows you to be vulnerable to the realities that some people face!  This was handled delicately and with utmost respect.

Jasper was on the sidelines of the previous book, but now he’s front and center!  He’s married to his job as head of Marlow’s Boys Ranch and for the most part he seems okay with that.  Jasper has found his calling and is amazing at his job, but all that flips on end when he catches sight of a woman with nutmeg colored hair.  Over the course of the book, we see a wide range of his personality come out and it helps us appreciate him even more.  He’s kind, loving, but firm when he needs to be.

When Mia shows up at the ranch, she turns more than one head with her nutmeg locks.  Her presence is questioned but soon put to rest as she’s more than happy to jump into helping Martha in the kitchen.  We also see all the different facets of her personality over the length of the book!  There is also much tension between her and Jasper that you can cut it with a knife!

For the record, the flashbacks helped to enhance the reader’s understanding of how the past can shape the present for our protagonists!  Some of these flashbacks were hard to read emotionally, but necessary in every sense of the word.  While this story may not be everyone’s cup of tea, I thoroughly enjoyed and am a better person for having read it!  I loved seeing glimpses of what I hope is a future story… hint hint Ashley Weston, I want more of Marlow’s!  Job well done and thank you for sharing such a beautiful tale with all of us!  We all need that place called home, whether it’s in the mountains or the desert!  Bravo!

3 Stars!

I liked this story so much. I loved the characters, the plot, and the setting so much. Jasper was everything! The story was heartbreaking, but so, so full of hope and sweetness. Even great faith. I felt like it was drawn out and repetitive at times. But the found family, the second chance at love and the ending were just perfect. It made my heart full to think of them all being happy together. Happy reading.

Jasper was my favorite character in Carry Me Away, so when I heard he was getting his own book, I was really excited. Hello, cowboys and ranch setting!

One of the things I enjoyed about this story was the quiet moments. Instead of focusing on big and loud drama, Ashley really leans into the little flashes of trust-building and those heartfelt conversations that slowly heal a heart.

If you want to slow down and heal alongside a character, this is a lovely book to pick up. There are highs, lows, swoony moments, and so much tenderness. I was rooting for the happily ever after!

Here are the things you’ll love about Ashley Weston’s story telling ⬇️

- relatable characters with real struggles
- slowly revealed back stories
- ALL the found family
- lots of poignant, quiet moments
- people who fight for each other

Here’s what you’ll love about Bring Me Home

- Jasper and Mia’s history
- the playfulness
- Landon + Jasper 🥹
- the baked goods
- the stop light 🤭
- the returning side characters
- depression/trauma representation
- abuse victim representation
- the landscaping #iykyk ❤️

Although this books is a second in series, it reads as a standalone.

Bring Me Home is the second book in the Marlow's Boys Ranch series. While we did get to know many of these characters in the previous book, I think this could be enjoyed as a standalone without any issues as well.

If you're looking for a great second chance romance that is tender and emotional with all the found family and healing (not to mention a swoon worthy cowboy) ... this is IT. Bring Me Home had everything I loved about the first book... and then some. Ashley Weston isn't afraid to take on the hard topics- like abuse and depression- creating beautiful characters who are real and raw, characters you cannot help but feel for and root for. Second chance romances are often some of my very favorites... and this one is done beautifully. There is so much heartache there, but also so much healing. There's such a beautiful chemistry between the Mia and Jasper. I loved the way that- despite his own hurts and their history- he wanted to be a safe space for her... he was so understanding and gentle, it was hard not to love him. Getting those glimpses of their falling in love the first time and the slow revelations of what happened to her/them since only had me rooting for that happily ever after all that much more. The author has created such a beautiful and special place in Marlow's Boys Ranch, and I absolutely adored it!

Bring Me Home is a closed-door romance with implied intimacy and some minor language throughout.

**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.

This is probably more of a 2.5 star rating for me… it was nice. I like the concept, I just don’t feel like it was executed that well. Aside from the consistent grammatical errors and kind of awkward writing, most of the story moved pretty slowly. There was such a constant focus on the characters’ pain/trauma/heartbreak that I didn’t actually feel connected to them as people. I couldn’t understand why I was supposed to feel so sad for them when there hadn’t been anything to be sad about yet (on page)

Second-chance and friends to lovers aren’t my favorite tropes, but this author does them well in concept. The boys at the ranch are endearing - however I never can tell how old they are… Maybe it’s just that I’m at an age now where even an 18 year old can sound like a preteen on paper?

The dramatic climax towards the end happened very fast, and while it was predictable, it was fine. It didn’t take away from the main focus of the story - healing.

Wonderful concept, but not my favorite.

A lovely romance ready for the fall!

If you love -

- Small town romance
- Second chance
- Single mum
- Mental health rep
- Slow burn
- Cinnamon roll mmc

Then this is for you!!

So many tropes and a wonderfully put together story. Jasper is an absolute sweetheart. Guarded at first, but watching him fall all over again for Mia was the kind of second chance I love!!

Mia, while also guarded for different reasons, (check trigger warnings), isn’t only trying to get the trust back from her son, fate also lands her back in the same small town ranch with Jasper after 14 years apart. I loved seeing her learn to trust and be happy again.

I loved the snippets of Mia and Jaspers past to let us have a better insight into them from all those years ago.

Thank you for this ARC!

Such a tender and sweet story! I loved this cowboy romance told from the dual POV of Jasper and Mia. A beautiful ranch in the Colorado mountains makes the perfect scenic setting. I may have pictured Jasper, the protective MMC with dirty blonde hair, as Glen Powell haha. The banter between Mia and Jasper is SO swoony! This story is all about heartbreak, healing, and learning to love again. I loved the little prayers from both Jasper and Mia, and the genuine relationship between Mia and her son, Landon. Absolutely recommend this one for closed door romance readers!

4.5!

I love Jasper so much. I have loved him since Carry Me Away. He’s so gentle and understanding. Marlow loves so big. Her sacrificing her time with her son by bringing him somewhere to keep him safe is so admirable and was probably so hard for her to do. I couldn’t imagine having to go through all that she did and essentially abandon her son but all for good reason. Moms will do anything to keep their babies safe even if the child thinks you don’t love them anymore. Landon was such an understanding kid and knew why his mom had to stop him off when she did. Jasper was patient and allowed Marlow to trust and open up on her timeline and now when he wanted her too. He never pushed her to open up and waited until she was ready to share. I loved them so much.

This book has the bones for a really cute story, but from the beginning I had a hard time connecting with the writing style. That issue mixed with repetition made this book crawl. I am a slow burn girlie, but this went beyond that and just wasn’t for me.

Thank you to the author for a gifted copy. My thoughts are my own.

Ashley has built another lyrical and cozy novel that I had no choice but to fall in love with. The way that this book tackles heavy issues but still maintains a caring and humorous heart is beautiful; it felt like a healing hug. I fell in love Mia and Jasper and love how the boys ranch was built upon further!

This was a great storyline and it had loads of potential. Making the FMC have a tragic backstory was a grand idea and then having the MMC be there to help her get her life back together was the setting for a delightfully romantic story. Jasper’s life wasn’t all sunshine and roses either which made him well equipped to help other troubled young men. He was a complete cinnamon roll beneath his, at times, gruff exterior. We all love a heroic MMC and Jasper fit that to a T. I loved the fact that Mia had a son; kids can add such great things to a story. He was the perfect intermediary for our main couple while overcoming some of his own struggles.

So while this book had a great storyline, sadly it just wasn’t for me. As of now, I can’t see myself wanting to go back and read the first book in this series. My first impression of this book wasn’t great. The dialogue and some of the wording wasn’t amazing in my opinion. But I wouldn’t just toss this story out completely because while it wasn’t for me, it may very well be perfect for the next person!

Thank you to the author for the eARC of this book!

Ashely Weston has done it again! Similar to Carry Me Away—the first book in the series—Bring Me Home is a story full of tenderness and grit! She doesn’t shy away from difficult or potentially triggering topics such as domestic abuse or depression, and I love her for it. She handles these sensitive issues with the uttermost care, creating a story that is both poignant and heartfelt.

I am so happy to that Jasper Mason now has his own story! While reading Carry Me Away, we get to know him as the supportive big brother and the kindhearted leader of the Marlow’s Boys Ranch. Now, we get to discover new layers to this loyal and endearing man, as he reconnects with his former love, Mia Evans.

Their story is one of forgiveness and rediscovery. Their road to reconciliation is riddled with past hurts and unspoken questions. It is raw and messy, but that’s what makes the mending of their relationship all the more heart-stirring and significant. As they bake scones and go horseback riding together, we get to see them heal past hurts and reignite their spark until it’s a forest burning within. This truly is a beautiful second chance romance!

And then, there is LANDON. He stole my heart completely in Carry Me Away. While reading the prologue, I quickly realized he would be an integral part of this story—even before his name was explicitly mentioned. To say I was thrilled would be an understatement. You cannot help but love this tenderhearted young teen. He truly radiates warmth and positivity! I loved seeing his growth and breakthroughs unfold throughout the story.

I would highly recommend the Marlow’s Boys Ranch series, especially if you’re looking for a series with a whole lot of heart!

This was my first time reading one of Ashley's books and I will definitely be reading more in the future! Bring Me Home is the second book in the Marlow's Boys Ranch series and it follows Jasper and Mia. I adored their story! Found family is one of my favorite tropes, but for me, I enjoyed it even more in this book, considering the hardships and trauma that these characters face and are trying to overcome. Not only did I love Jasper and Mia, but I also loved her son, Landon, as well. It was evident from the start that Mia loves her son deeply. So much so that she questions her every decision as a mother, and whether she's done the best or "right" thing for him. But I thought that made this so much sweeter, raw, and real. And don't even get me started on Landon and Jasper. Their relationship was too sweet for words! With that, I must mention that it's never an easy feat to approach sensitive topics in books, such as mental health and domestic abuse. But I commend Ashley for it. Not only did it allow me to connect with these characters and the storyline, but many readers also relate to these struggles. And truthfully, I think it made the HEA that much better and definitely gives a lot of readers hope for themselves, despite whatever hardships they may be facing.

If you're like me and enjoy sweet, emotional, and heartwarming romance books, I definitely recommend giving this one a read!

This is book 2 in the Marlow’s Boys Ranch series and they should be read in order! I loved the first book, an easy 5 stars. And yet I loved this one even more! There’s just something about Jasper and Mia that I connected to deeply. So the entire reading experience was very moving and enjoyable for me.

Jasper has been dealing with a heartache for the last fourteen years and has never told a soul. When Mia steps back into his life everything is turned upside down. The dynamics here just suck you in immediately. I was living for every moment.

The build up was perfect. The romance was steamy and elegant. The emotional journey was realistic and relatable. And I was moved by their growth and their love.

The side characters were all wonderful and added depth to the story. I especially loved Landon! He will tug at your heartstrings so much!!!! My momma heart just wanted to hug him.

It all came together beautifully at the end. I could see where we were headed for the plot twist but the suspense of how and when kept me on the edge!

Read for:
-Contemporary romance
-Second chance
-Slow burn
-Small town ranch life
-Helping boys
-Mental health rep
-Cowboy romance
-Dual POV

I had the pleasure of reading this book early and it was everything I had dreamed of and more!

Ever since finishing the first book in the series, Carry Me Away, I was in love with Marlow’s and all of its wonderful people. Ashley has a way of writing her characters so real and so honest. It’s like they are people she knows.

On every single page, it is so clear that Ashley writes from her heart! These characters and their stories mean the world to her and you can tell that in every word written. She has a way of bringing the reader in so that you feel like you’re there experiencing everything alongside this sweet group of characters.

One of my favorite things about this book is how Ashley takes the time to take the time. Nothing feels rushed or forced. But at the same time, you’re on the edge of your seat at so many points. She takes the time to set such beautiful and clear scenes with gorgeous imagery more often than not. She takes the time to flesh out the characters and all that resides within them. I always say that she writes like being in a beautiful, slow little town full of color when so many other books out there are like being in the city when everything is flying by in drab colors.

Things you can expect with Ashley’s books are intrigue, heartbreak, family, raw emotion, real world scenarios, deep love, a little tiny bit of (closed door) spice, and so so much joy. I can’t wait to see what wonderful story comes from her next!

I love a good second chance romance, and author Ashley Weston has delivered a lovely one in BRING ME HOME, the second book in her Marlow's Boys Ranch series. This book is a nice departure in the world of romance, with plenty of heat, found family, and second chances in life and in love, sweet and a little bit sexy, but subtle as well.

This is my first book by Ashley, and I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but Jasper's and Mia's book was the perfect introduction. These characters are likable without being perfect, both of them looking to right past mistakes and to be a good example for the boys that are in their charge.

The boys at the farm are one of the best parts of this book. Cheeky, good-hearted, and healing, they are great foils to the adults, and made me smile throughout. Ashley's characterizations are spot-on, showing that found family is some of the best family, and that relationships come in all shapes and sizes.

Fans of romance with a lot of heart and a tad bit less heat will really enjoy BRING ME HOME. It will warm your heart and make you believe that redemption is possible, and that love may just be better the second time around. Dive in and enjoy. ❤️

“My heartbeat races at the thought of her, and within seconds calms by the sight of her.”

I just love Ashley & feel blessed to have read her latest book Bring Me Home. It’s a story about love, heartbreak, healing, forgiveness & most importantly… second chances. It’s a beautiful second chance romance that also deals with the sensitive topics of abuse & depression. It definitely has its swoony moments… I mean the baking scene was 🔥. This book really focuses on healing & while I think it’s very realistic I struggled with the length & the pacing. It was a bit slow & I found myself a bit bored. The ending did pick up & I loved the happily ever after! So if you love a character driven slow burn romance with lots of depth then I wouldn’t hesitate picking this one up! Mostly closed door

_____

A sweet, clean romance set on a ranch for troubled boys.

Jasper runs Marlow's Boys Ranch, which he opened on the land he spent most of his childhood summers. He hasn’t had much time for romance, or much heart to give, for that matter. It still belongs to the girl from his past, and their whirlwind romance on this very property. When she comes back into his life in the most unexpected of ways, he’ll have to navigate his old feelings, and maybe he can discover why she left in the first place.

This is the second book in the series, and I enjoyed it more than the first! It has a heavy focus on healing, starting over after an abusive relationship, and I thought depression was represented well.

I recommend if you like a bit of angst, a sweet second chance romance, and a touch of spiritually.

THINGS TO LOVE:
+ second chance
+ past and present timeline
+ starting over
+ depression rep
+ learning from mistakes
+ "Nutmeg"
+ feeling worthy
+ closed-door romance

{a gigantic thank you to Ashley Weston for the chance to read this early! Out 9/24}

Congrats to @ashleywestonauthor on the release of Bring Me Home!

After reading Carry Me Away, I just had to get to Jasper’s story! Second chance romance in the Colorado country! Horses, country living, and cowboys!

Jasper Mason is fulfilling his dream- running Marlow’s Boys Ranch to help troubled teens and living in the Colorado wilderness. Ten months ago, Jasper took on Landon, a young man that was unexpectedly dropped off by his mother with no explanation. Months later, to Jasper’s surprise, Landon’s mother returns- who is none other than Mia Evans- the one woman who broke Jasper’s heart.

Jasper is the best of men- a cinnamon roll hero with a heart of gold. And he just so happens to love cinnamon rolls! Mia and Jasper’s story is full of redemption, forgiveness, and second chances. And Landon is the sweetest kid. Fun to see the Everett and Harper cameos as well.

Brief thoughts- a lot of repetitive inner monologue in this story with repetitive language. Overall, plotline is sweet and romantic but I found a lot of the writing style distracting from the story.

3-3.5 stars

First of all, much thanks and appreciation to Ashley Weston for allowing me to be apsrt of her ARC team.

“It’s a good place to be, here at Marlow’s.”

And a good place it was to be indeed. I thoroughly enjoyed this second chance story of love, redemption, sacrifice, and forgiveness. The fierce love Jasper has for the boys at Marlow’s Boys Ranch and Mia was just inspiring and heartwarming. A true second-chance romance, in my opinion, and one that had me smiling, laughing, crying, and jumping.

Bring Me Home reminds me that true love can really stand the test of time and that not all family is biological. Some are found, some are chosen, but it’s family nonetheless. I am sure you will love to read Jasper and Mia’s story and will fall completely in love with Landon, Michael (oh, you simple can’t help loving Michael), Martha and the rest of the gang. For those who read Carry Me Away, you’ll also get a bit more of Everett and Harper.

My heart is full, making me smile as I type this review.

4.5 stars and all my best to an amazing author.

Bring Me Home is beautifully written! This second chance, found family romance hits some really hard topics, but is mixed in with humor and all the swoony feels!
Jasper & Mia are thrown back into close proximity after Mia’s son Landon is placed in Jasper’s care at the Boys Ranch. Jasper and Mia try unsuccessfully to leave their history in the past while working through their individual demons. This is a must read!
A few of my fav moments:

💚 “Life is a funny thing. We live it, we survive it, but do we always truly embrace it?”

💚 Martha ❤️❤️ Just all of her!

💚 “I inch closer, knowing I’m going to kiss her, not caring about the short hours that sit between this moment and is of meeting.”

💚 “You don’t have to know everything about everything to know where there is goodness. Kindness. Compassion. Love. Those are all from somewhere. Why not be from God?”

💚 “Please, let me love you”

** ARC Review **

Jasper and Mia take us through a journey of love, forgiveness, understanding, and patience. I loved how thoroughly @ashleywestonauthor created her characters, providing a complete picture of who they are and who they can be. It is always a joy to visit Marlow's Boy Ranch. I feel as though my life changes a little bit as we follow the experiences of healing and love that are contained within.

I had a difficult time choosing just one quote for the review, so here are some of my other favorites:

"...you're not a distraction. You're an essential."

"I can be your air. Let me be your air."

Jasper’s character intrigued me in his sister’s book, Carry Me Away, and I’m glad to say he lived up to his character from book one. Everything about him is so good, and even in his struggles he is one of my favorite main male characters I’ve read. I struggled for a while to connect with Mia and to see Jasper’s draw to her. I empathized with her situation and the relationship she was trying to salvage with her son; but I couldn’t quite ever fully understand her reason for leaving as a teenager. Landon’s journey of forgiveness and understanding was also a great part of the book. Overall, this was a great, deeply emotional read. Seeing Everett and Harper’s relationship progress was also sweet. Thank you Ashley for an advanced copy of the book.

This was a highly anticipated book for me because I loved Ashley’s first book.

This was a beautiful, closed door, second chance romance. Ashley portrayed the real life kind of struggles both main characters, Jasper and Mia, faced and then how forgiveness, communication and having people in their corners could lead to a second chance for their love.

I love how Ashley based most of the characters and places in this book on people or situations that are real in her world some way or another; it makes the story from the heart.

While this is a stand alone book, most of the characters first appear in Carry Me Away so to get more background on them, I would read that book first :)

Bring me Home—Book 2 in the Marlow’s Boys Ranch Series 🧡

Everything about it just screamed how much thought and time and love Ashley put into the story! 👏🏻🥹

Jasper is a true MMC hero and it was so beautiful to watch Mia come full circle and both characters realize their “enoughness”!! 🧡 this book will take you on a journey! It has a dual timeline mixed in and a big plot twist at the end with a lot of meat in the middle!!

If you love Slow burn, second chance romances, healing, and happily ever afters— this isn’t a Nicholas Sparks novel, HEAVEN FORBID! 🫣🤣 You will only cry happy tears at the end, you’ll ABSOLUTELY LOVE this!

I really enjoyed this book! I’m so glad Ashley decided to write Jasper’s story because he was one of my favorite characters in Carry Me Away and I needed more of him.

This was such a tender love story. I love a good second chance romance when all those past feelings are brought to the surface and tough conversations are had about what happened.

Mia’s story was heartbreaking and I loved seeing how patient and loving Jasper was towards Mia to help her see that she’s enough and safe.
