A sad story to begin with, but such is real life. All sorts of interesting things happen along the way, women meet up, women fall in love and it ends up with a happy ending. Too many people had to get hurt for the story, which is something I hate to see in a story because it happens too much in the real world. I would still recommend reading it for the women loving women aspect of it and the happy ending. Perhaps the author could write a series with all the characters she introduced in beautiful Italy.
